六根ゲストハウス Rokkon guest house features accommodation located less than 1 km from the centre of Kyoto and offers a garden and a terrace. This stay was one of our favourites of our entire trip. The host was so generous and kind. Upon hearing of my partner's leg injury, she surprised us with a special tea to help promote healing. We loved the space and the attention to detail was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The host customized the breakfast based on a couple conversations we had. Everything was delicious, and we were even given a detailed list, in English, of everything she prepared for us. The breakfasts at this stay were a highlight of our entire trip to Japan. We will definitely try to stay here again when we're back in Kyoto!

Family Inn Kei 慶 features accommodation within 3.2 km of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with an oven, a microwave and a toaster. The house is near Kyoto station and bus stops. The room was clean, comfortable and very convenient. The host and the staffs are are so kindness and helpful. A male staff drove us to the Kyoto Station when all taxies were unavailable and another female wrapped our paper bag by plastic bag because it was raining. I highly appreciate these people this place, and will continue to stay here when I come back to Kyoto.

One of the best guesthouses I have stayed in. Highly recommending this place. Very clean and great location as well.

Machiya Hotel YANAGI features accommodation within 1.6 km of the centre of Kyoto, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a fridge and a stovetop. The house is a contemporary renovated town house, it is actually more spacious than the pictures shown and the lighter is much softer and warmth, there is a small backyard with a tiny pond in the middle, the 2nd floor have some interested hollow floor design with a foot bridge connecting the bedroom so you can see the first floor from the 2nd floor, the art collection such as some wall painting and slide door as well as the teapot collection is quite classy as well

Offering air-conditioned rooms in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, situated between Kamogawa River and Takase canal, Hazuki Kyoto is 20 minutes stroll from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Gion District. Very welcoming and helpful owner, cute neighborhood next to the river, traditional Kyoto inn with the option of taking a bath Japanese-style.

4 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, Guesthouse Kyoto Arashiyama is located in Kyoto and provides free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. We loved it that it was a traditional Japanese house with tatami floors and sliding doors. Sleeping on a futon really added to the experience and made it super special. It was very quiet and in a beautiful neighborhood without all the tourist crowds, yet the city was easily accessible from there. What really made us feel like coming back if we are ever in Kyoto again was the owner. He was so friendly and accommodating. He truly cares about his guests and it made us feel at home.
