A river delta where the roads are fluvial only so no cars.
A river delta where the roads are fluvial only so no cars. Great 4 hour roundtrip with the public transport boat Jilguero picking up locals along the way and crosses the vast Rio Parana before heading back. Lovely

The town has a lot to offer, from nice walks, boat trips, some museums and of course the puerto de frutos. However, we did not encounter any good restaurants. The food in general in the whole of Tigre is average at best. Another negative is the permanent fuel smell all over town, as the congestion of cars and boats is maxed out, and there aren't any emission-limiting requirements in Argentina, so all the boats use out-dated engines. Nonetheless, a recommendable visit, definitely when you want to buy some cheap furnitures and house-hold in puerto de frutos!
Imagine being so close to Buenos Aires, but only hearing the sound of birds - no traffic.
That was what will stand out to me about my stay at Cabaña Sidharta. It was incredibly relaxing, a world apart from the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires.
The cabin had everything you needed, a good oven and stove, a hammock, a nice bed, a large fridge. You have to bring your own necessities, but this place was incredible.
I stayed two fantastic nights. It was one of the best breaks I've ever had. So relaxing. Nothing to do but chill, chat, kayak, swim, sunbathe, walk..... Angles is an incredible cook, the food was like being in a 5 star restaurant. She has also lived all over the world and has a great perspective and experience of life. The whole place feels so comfortable, like home. The delta area is amazing too
Tigre is an amazing place to visit and the cabin we stayed in was set well back from the river so it was quiet. (Except for the permanent residents who lived nearby and played loud techno music, but that is not a fault of the property.)
The fridge worked.
Friendly dogs at the front cabin.
Beautiful lush greenery and clear skies.
In mid-March, the bugs were basically non-existent.
Location - ease of access from Tigre city, public and private transport from Puerto de Frutos available.. Marcos friendliness was a plus, house was very clean, it has a good sized deck in front of Gambado creek. It has access to a private sand beach over Sarmiento River. Soft drinks , daikiris and fast food available nearby with moderate prices.
It’s in a nice, upscale marina, condo, restuarant complex. With a nice marina side boardwalk for walking. About 20 minutes by taxi to Tigre. Nice pool area with bar and lifeguard and restaurant overlooking the marina. Breakfast was varied and extensive. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. room was large and bed very comfortable.
Nice elegant boutique hotel with a special feature - rooms are named and designed after popular Swedish personalities (owners are Argentine-Swedish). Comfortable bed. Wifi was poor. Meeting the helpful fluently English speaking receptionist Renata while checking in was a true pleasure.
The property was very nice and quiet, the room itself was not very large but was clean and comfortable. The staff was so helpful and friendly and the continental breakfast was really nice. I enjoyed talking to the staff at the front about Tigre and the different activities nearby.
Great experience in the tigra delta. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Food was good We thought we maybe able to have a look in the convent but this is not possible you only see it from the outside but it is interesting walking along the canals
Good place to stay for a night
The space was beautiful and very comfortable. There was a fan and mosquito repellent to make the stay even better. The host was friendly and accommodating :) There was a very friendly dog and cat living nearby who would come and say hi if you wanted them to!
The location was great, right next door to the hotel. The property was clean. Ariel was an amazing host. Breakfast was not the same as the hotel's. It was in bagels place next door. The food was great and portions were very generous.
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment in Tigre. The location is a '10' - walkable to the main sites. The apartment is spacious, it has good light, the beds are comfortable, and it is pretty quiet. The building is new.
The property is beautiful. Perfect place to escape the big city. Nice to walk in the huge forest surrounded by the delta rivers. The poolside is a relaxing place to rest and enjoy the nice music.
A phenomenal getaway from Buenos Aires place - beautiful and peaceful. Staff is very friendly, welcoming and simply good people. If they have an availability don't hesitate.
The space is only 5-6 blocks walking from the Tigre train station. It was impeccably clean and Carolina did everything she could to make us feel at home.
A perfect hide away from the big city. Peter is a very good host with good stories about the delta. Perfect starting point for some afternoon kayaking.
