The location is very convenient and beautiful. The people friendly and relaxed. It was an excellent spot for dogs. We would use it the facilities again.

Built in 1853 and right on the picturesque Fürstenweg, a small path leading to Neuschwanstein Castle, Gutshof zum Schluxen enjoys a quiet location in the middle of fields with grazing cows and horses, and Queen Marie von Bayern stayed here with her sons Ludwig and Otto. Füssen and Reutte are only a 10-minute drive away. The former estate offers rooms in a Tyrolean style, some of which have a balcony. Additional pillows and blankets are available on request and at a surcharge. Gutshof zum Schluxen also offers a bicycle rental, free parking, and free WiFi access. Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle can be reached on foot in about 1 hour, in 30 minutes by bicycle, or in 15 minutes by car. Linderhof Caslte is a 45-minute car drive away. In winter, a cross-country ski run is right outside Gutshof zum Schluxen. The nearest ski area is 7.5 mi away.
