The room I had was much larger than I expected. The hotel is fully renovated, and the lighting mechanism are spectacular, both in the room and the very wide super well illuminated hallways. Other hotels should follow suit. Huge bathroom (toilet area separate from the shower and sink, beware, if that is something that bothers you); the shower is cavernous, fantastic.
Breakfast was amazing, everything from salmon to cereal, breads, pastries, you name it.
Staff was very attentive and helpful with directions, how to get to a bus station with several options, etc.
Visit Graz, stay here, you will be pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to go back!

We didn't like the look of the "spaceship "Museum, it was out of place with the Baroque architecture of the old town. Loved the old town. We were disappointed to find most restaurants closed the kitchen at 5 pm. As we were in mid-May we felt more should have been open. A couple of days is enough to cover most sights. It was great to see no Islamic minettes spoiling the old town cityscape,

We spent most of our time walking around the city.
We spent most of our time walking around the city. There are lovely buildings with intricate architecture in places. I would definitely recommend a walk in the Stadtpark. I recommend the climb up to Schlossberg, the view is lovely!
We had a wonderful meal at Restaurant Sclossberg, apart from the food , the view is spectacular.
Another place with even better food is Ginko, where I had the best food in a very long time. It serves vegan and vegetarian food, but I would imagine that everybody will like the delicious food on offer.

Graz is nice, probably a day is enough in the off-season but I expect you'd need 2 days when it's summer time and busier because of queues etc. Buy a 24 or 48 hour pass for Museums is worth the expense.

Ideal for you if you like historic towns with lots of...
Ideal for you if you like historic towns with lots of landmarks, local food, some interesting shops, museums, a castle hill with a view. Our fave places were the old quarters, the old department store interior, and the view from its top cafe, the cathedral (heard practising for organ concert!!), beautiful bookshop Morawa with cafe on top, Castle hill...
If walking gets too much, use the funicular to get on castle hill and 24h bus/tram ticket to take you anywhere within city. We tasted Austrian food in Franziskaner Quarter (my fave part), vegetarian food in a more modern cafe and finally we ate at a Greek place (good value for money 20 euros per person).
We would avoid visiting in very cold or very hot weather.
I liked the staff and their level of English proficiency, we communicated without any problems. The parking lot is spacey and safe just in front of the hotel. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast is varied. There is a handy playing room for little children. We had some special requests in terms on early checkin and the type of room, and the property made sure all our demands were met, so once again thank you for that! The town centre is 15 minutes walk away from the hotel which is great.
The hotel has a nice garage, the lobby is spacious and the room was very big for a hotel room (around 40m2), and clean, with a Nespresso machine inside which is really nice. The beds were big and confortable. The breakfast was good, but the coffee as in many austrian hotel is better to skip. The hotel is in the vicinity of a market with a couple of grocery stores in vicinity. The pedestrian zone (Mariahilfer strasse) starts nearby and will take you to the famous Kunstmuseum.
the Glockenspiel restaurant on the ground floor was great. The apartment experience itself was the worst I've had in over 30 years of travel to Austria (I go there for business several times a year). They truly couldn't give a single care about the customer. Also, note that the "Glockenspiel" in the name means that you are in a bell tower and the bell sounds outside the window around the clock. Nice.
The hosts are lovely people who just want you to have a good time and are available for every question you might come up with. We were greeted with a warm, clean apartment in the cold Austrian winter with wine and chocolates as compliment.
Location is great, just 10-15mins away if you walk and a couple of tram stops either way.
Linda provided a generous, healthy, tasty buffet breakfast, Seating was comfortable in a nicely decorated room. The hotel has a lot of history - three generations. Location was quiet and secure with good free parking almost next door. Close to the city centre. Good value for the price.
I stayed for one night. The staff was very helpful when checking me in. The hotel is really comfortable and clean, with modern interiors. My room was not too big but I did not find much as it was a short stay.
It is just a 5 min walk from the main train station with tram stops nearby.
We had a very nice stay at the hotel. It is renovated, comfortable and clean. I had a request for the staff and they were extremely helpful. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious with a big variety.
Excellent small touches: great candies and fine water given daily, great decor, fine breakfast. We even used and enjoyed the sauna in the sister hotel since Wiesler’s was under repair.
Well located close to the heart of the old city. Easy 14 minute walk from the hotel through a lovely park at the end of the street. Welcoming host, friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The beds are big and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has a lot of choices.
Great hotel to stay in Graz!
The location is the best quality of the hotel, easily reachable from the train station and close to the centre.
Breakfast was okay, typically Austrian.
