Very nice location and amazing welcoming by the host! We had a lot of snow and every morning the driveway was cleared. The communication with the host throughout the stay was just perfect. Also they were very fast at replying on WhatsApp whenever we contacted them. Overall a very pleasant stay!

Hello! We are Mike & Tammy from Austrian Alpine Getaways and welcome you to Haus Schmitten in Zell am See, just a few minutes walk from the Areitbahn. We love Zell am See/Kaprun so much that it is our home away from home and we look forward to you discovering all the hidden gems of the region.

** Please note that this room does not have a kitchen or cooking facilities.** The Maiskogel room is 21 m2 and has a double bed with a private bathroom (with shower). The room contains a table, a small bar fridge, a kettle, and glasses. The room is located on the main floor of the building. The Maiskogel room is our smallest room in Haus Schmitten. Haus Schmitten also has 1 and 2-bedroom apartments. If you are looking for apartments with a kitchen, living room and separate bedrooms please see our listings for Haus Schmitten: Apartment 3 Brüder, Apartment Schmittenhöhe, Apartment Kitzsteinhorn or Apartment Großglockner. Haus Schmitten is located in a quiet street, only a few minutes walk to the Areitbahn Gondola. Guests have access to the garden and BBQ. ***From May 15th to October 31st our guests receive the Zell am See-Kaprun summer card. Enjoy the region with amazing discounts and offers including free gondolas to Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe, free entry to many attractions and free public transport

Haus Schmitten is the perfect place to base yourself to explore all the sights and adventures offered in the Kaprun/Zell am See region. Summer is magical in Kaprun/Zell am See. Spend your days enjoying the mountain vistas on a hike stopping for lunch at one of the many traditional mountain Alms. The region is popular spot for bike riding through the countryside or for the more adventurous exhilarating mountain bike trails await. The pristine Lake Zell is a perfect spot to enjoy sailing and water sports. Sigmund Thun-Gorge, Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs, Krimml Waterfalls (Europe’s highest waterfall) and the High Alpine Grossglockner Mountain Road are only a short journey from Haus Schmitten. In the winter, Kaprun/Zell am See becomes a world-class ski resort catering to all abilities. For beginners, the ski schools at Schmittenhöhe are world-class. The local resorts of Kitzsteinhorn (100% snow guarantee Oct- early summer), Schmittenhöhe and Familienberg Maiskogel offer over 138km of perfectly groomed pistes. In addition, the Ski Circus at Saalbach/Hinterglemm and the Höchkonig Ski resort at Maria Alm can be reached within 30 minutes by car.
