This is just another of the wonderful villages to visit in...
This is just another of the wonderful villages to visit in this spactacular region. Everyone is just so welcoming. Mapelton Hotel is only a few minutes down the road by car and has the most wonderful views from the large wrap around verandah. Think country hospitality and you have it in abundance. Beautiful mountain scenery and the views are best pic worthy with lots of terrific lookout points. Eumundi markets are a short car ride away and Montville and Maleny are just down the road. Flaxton was a great base for all these places plus Flaxton has its own arts and crafts plus "to die for" Devonshire Teas. This village has it all. Montville hotel (on top of the hill) is a great fun place for lunch , think hot days under canopies with mist sprays. Lots of lovely greenery and friendly interactive staff. Inside reminds us of a European challet hotel.

Flaxton is part of the hinterland escarpment and so is lovely. There are a lot of places to see, falls, parks, views of the valley, shops, galleries etc. Plenty of places to eat and a good variety. Having a car is best to get around. I would prefer not to come in the holiday season as we went for a quiet peaceful get away.AAnonymousAustralia - 10Scored 10
A beautiful location!
A beautiful location! Very close to the wedding we were attending. Supurb accomodation and hospitality by the host. Lovely presentation and above average facilities, cleanliness and comfort. Will certainly stay there again!

Nice quiet place without the hustle and bustle of other...
Nice quiet place without the hustle and bustle of other towns nearby. I only had time to try one cafe but the owners and staff at the Flaxton Barn were very friendly and food and drinks were very nice.
