Beautiful city next to the Caspian sea with nice walking boulevard next to the sea. Lively city with plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs. The old city is part of UNESCO heritage sites and is worthwhile the visit.

A very vibrant city with a rich history. The Old City is such a piece of art. The traffic is a bit pain and to get around to near by areas its recommended to walk rather than hailing a cab. To feel and absorb the real beauty of the city can only be done on the long walks this city deserves. The overall city is extremely safe. Basically they need to learn how to treat tourist, stop their stupid scaming which ruins the whole experience of Baku. Its beautiful but a small city, had been enough with just 4 days. The cultural food is not a big deal so dont visit because of the food! Be careful with the hotels showing you updated pictures that does not match with reality! specially breakfast items.MariaSweden

The staff were helpful on check in and helped me sort out a very early morning taxi when I left, which was cheaper than I had expected. The room was a good size, with the small elegance as the rest of the hotel and the whole place was very clean. The absolute best bit was the rooftop restaurant for breakfast though, with hanging plants, singing birds and great views of the Flame Towers and the city roofs. That was amazing on sunny days!
