Felt like I was at home. Great hosts. Good location to catch the ferry to the island.
Room was good value for money and was clean, view overlooks the Bay, not really a Boutique Hotel as not a lot of extras.
Dining room only used for Continental Breakfast, so we had to go to neighbouring town for Dinner. Breakfast options were limited. Lots of stairs.
Good value for this money, nice and helpful staff.
Very few things to choose for breakfast
Loved the old building
When we arrived we were up graded to a better suite, loved the location, and the comfort of the bed. Staff and breakfast were excellent
have no dilikes
Bathroom small, old
Inn full of history, friendly owner, room was clean and comfy, quite location, breakfast was good ,service was A one.
No frig in the room
The staff goes over and above for you....the view is beautiful...and you feel a sense of peaceful serenity.
Nice place, close to ferry docks to PEI.
It was such a pleasure staying at this inn during a recent trip to Nova Scotia. The Inn itself is beautiful. The dining room and meals as well as staff of the dining room were very caring to our needs. The owners are a wonderful couple. We enjoyed talking to them about Nova Scotia/Travel and directions to specific areas that we wanted to visit.
filthy dirty bathroom floors mattress was hard and could feel the springs in the bed
Nice ambiance; beautiful furniture etc.
The owners were very nice, breakfast was okay...continental
Extremely clean and well maintained. A lot of character with antique furnishings and decor. The owners were extremely Friendly and helpful.
Not a lot to do for a young family in Pictou, but it was a great break for us after several days of driving through the Maritimes.
View of harbour was to my liking. Bed was queen size and very comfortable. Breakfast was generous. Lady in charge was courteous and helpful. Bathroom was clean and well organized.
Unfortunately, there was some odour from the mill, but this wasn't the fault of the inn! A ceiling fan helped. Parking in front was limited, but the back worked okay.
The Inn is beautiful and the people running the Inn are "the best". The location was terrific. We could walk everywhere. Being up on the hill was peaceful at the end of the day.
If you do not or cannot go up 3 flights of stairs let them know.
The Inn and guest rooms were very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Although the bathrooms were clean, they were quite old. The double bedroom that my son stayed in was tiny with a shower that is entered from the room, not in the bathroom.
Great view of harbour from our room, The building has great character, antiques, art, older classical chairs furniture etc. The continental breakfast had excellent food and good selection. Nicely located in town but just off the street enough to have lawns.
Air conditioner in our room did not seem to be working well - got some cool air but not a lot on a hi setting. Milk for cereal at breakfast was just in a pitcher by the cereal so not very cold.
The furniture and decoration
Everything was great, owners were very friendly.
Staff friendliness Sense of tradition and `history` along with comfort. Breakfast was very relaxed and was `served` with panache by the efficient and caring staff member, it`s a long time since somebody ensured my coffee cup was full !
Can`t think of anything. It was a lovely and unique experience.
Was a lovely dining room but they no longer serve dinners
Very overpriced for what you got
Friendly staff Quiet room Good breakfast Local musicians
The pulp mill
The whole experience was like staying an English country inn -awesome!
The owners of the Inn - very nice people. The Inn is amazing.
