Score from 758 reviews Wonderful
good location, friendly staff, free breakfast, in room kitchenette, wi-fi, convenient location near metro, reasonable parking rates underground - everything you need for a short or long stay in Montreal.
I like the location. Breakfast was great. Service was excellent.
Mattress and pillows were not very good. I'm not sure of what size bed was in the room. Small for a queen. Parking was awful. My car bumper got scratched while exiting. Turns we're too sharp and the hill was too steep. Could see. Should have been another option. Nothing else was suggested and there were no warning.
60 second walk to Berri-UQAM underground where all lines meet
Centrally located. Breakfast is very rich. Staff is very friendly. Number bus 747 is going form airport to Berri Uqam bus station every 9 minutes. Ticket is 10 dollars for 24 hours. Hotel is close to the Berri Uqam station that takes only five minutes by walking. Famous shopping street Sainth Catherine is near at hotel.
Housekeeping came to room for cleaning after 3 pm.
location, staff friendliness
breakfast buffet - repetitive and bland internet/wifi - slow sometimes
Close to St. Catherine Street and old Montreal
Staff could have been a bit more welcoming
Location was great, suite was roomy and clean, kitchen was nice to have with kids. We loved walking down st catherines street and through the village, as well as through old montreal.
Breakfast was ok - nice to have a hot breakfast - but the same every day. Front desk guy who checked us in was officious and borderline rude.
Location and is close to Metro station and restaurants, shops, bars are walking distance. Very nice.
The mattress is too soft to sleep
Comfy, HUGE room with kitchen and "living area." Clean and nice. Short walk to jazz fest.
My friends and I recently stayed here on a 5 day trip to Montreal. The room was very spacious, had a nice sized kichenette which made making our own food very easy and convenient. It's a 30 second walk from the main metro hub, which will save you lots time in terms of traveling to many places if you are there for sightseeing. Room was thoroughly cleaned every day, no complaints. Staff was very helpful and patient in terms of pointing us in the right direction and answering any questions as well as giving us recommendations. A very good room with great service for an amazing price. I would definitely stay again.
My only complaints would have to be the parking garage, it was very tight and difficult to navigate even in my small car; however, I was glad to have private parking. My other complaint would have to be the actual street the hotel is located on. It's on a bit of a sketchy street although all the others surrounding it seem fine. Even so, they have good security measures with someone always at the front desk and guests needing a key to open even the main hotel doors past a certain time of night.
Half a block away from the best parts of St. Catherine's St, and only a short walk away from old Montreal. Complimentary breakfast in the morning is good quality food. Facilities in the hotel itself are just ok, but for the location, tough to beat the price. Probably an excellent place during off-peak seasons if you want a fair price without the risk that you'll end up in a dump. The kitchenette in the room is a nice feature.
Location, Big size rooms, B'fast..
Small and messy parking, No Elevator from 2/3 level parking, Staff is rude, Extra charge if dishes are not cleaned after use, Very close to Gay Village, No good restaurants in area, Poor Customer Service after check-in..
The Breakfast was good
The towels were rough and scratchy, there was no conditioner provided, there was a $25.00 charge if you did not wash the dishes in the room. The staff checked us out of the wrong room. The parking garage entrance/exit ramp was very steep.
The position is really good, close to the bus station from airport and within walking distance from the center
Location, location, location.... quick walk or metro rode anywhere Breakfast Free printing
This hotel was very reasonably priced for a big city hotel. While the amenities were not the highest quality, we had everything we needed and everything was very clean.
The hotel staff should have been more aware of events in the city during our stay and informed us of the bike ride for thousands of people that shut down traffic in the city twice during our stay. Also, Wi-Fi was not dependable at all.
a 10-15 minute walk to Old Montreal. Lots of older folks in tour groups. Reasonable breakfast, nice and quiet.
Cabs have trouble finding it. It's just a minor glitch, but you may want to ask the staff for nearest major cross-streets or intersections.
Attentive staff, hotel very clean
It is close to the Metro station and a big supermarket nearby.
The breakfast time is too late for 7 AM, I prefer to be at 06:30 as sometime my meeting was early.
Hotel location, breakfast good taste, staff amability and friendness
At this visit there was nothing we did not like
-Clean -Quiet - never heard any noise from hall or adjacent rooms -Proximity to subway/location convenient for getting where we wanted to go -Decent breakfast included for free -Parking available in secure garage (yes, it's tight, but off the street)
-Location - street it's on is very sketchy - the other reviewers aren't kidding. My fiance and I were always together so it was okay but I would feel unsafe on that street by myself at night. Best to cross through the parking lot across from the entrance to Rue Berri and go to the subway that way. -$100 deposit and $25 fee if you don't clean your dishes - seems ridiculous for a hotel, I would expect that at a cruddy motel. -Be aware if you have kids watching TV - there's a freely available porn channel (or at least a channel that shows porn after 11pm) - we stumbled across it just flipping through channels before bed, and it was legit full-on pornography. No warning or anything preventing a kid from accessing it.
Conveniant to the city, comfortable bed and pillows, nice bathtub.
It was fairly noisy even with double glazing.
Very good breakfast , big room with kitchen facilities, near everything you need
Great location, good value. The service was awesome. Our questions were answered in English and we felt very comfortable staying here. First time to Montreal and if we were ever to go back this is the place we would stay. Breakfast was included and it was a great breakfast.
since my last stay a year ago much needed improvements have been made to the bathroom. close to metro and some decent to pretty good restaurants.
the neighborhood remains sketchy at best. I'm from NYC and took it in stride, although I can see why some would be put off. maybe not so good for families with young ones. was a stabbing 2 blocks away when I was there. never had that before. also, ramp to parking garage is as steep as a ski jump. wifi is terrible.
