Space on the suite, quit and very confort space.
Front desk staff, very rush and dont pay attention, too stress to deal with guess.
Room had lots of space plus having a couch was bonus to have. Friend was able to sleep on it instead of floor.
breakfast was good
hair from last guest in the shower large gap at bottom of door to room bed uncomfortable no signs to room
The room was huge and the location was close enough to the airport that we had a short drive for our very early morning flight.
The opaque curtains on the windows didn't close, and the sheer curtains didn't close all the way, so we had a clear view of all the people in the parking lot as we stepped out of the bathroom after a shower. I was really uncomfortable with that, so we hung our towels from the curtains.
Simple, clean, quiet, affordable
Small pillows, interior rooms have view over banquet hall / atrium.
no satellite tv. no restaurant. no hot tub. dont replenish items for next morning
If you like the old world charm of grand hotels, this hotel has a decor you can enjoy for a fraction of what you might expect to pay. This once grand lady is still gorgeous albeit her age shows in some areas - but but not in a decrepit way. The important items like tubs, sinks and toilets are updated. The lobby and dining room have chandeliers to marvel at. Rooms are all around the outside of the hotel, leaving a huge 2 story open room in the centre of the hotel. This is the dining room where the floors are marble with intricate pattern inlaid in the centre of the room. A gorgeous big fireplace is at one end of the room. The ornate sconces adorn the walls with other heavy ornate woodwork. I couldn't help be reminded of the glory days in the Great Gatsby! I, for one, was thrilled to see the hotel has not be completely modernized. The complimentary breakfast was not all carbs. Eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, juices and fruit were part of the buffet along with muffins, pancakes and toast. I appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea available throughout the day - especially specialty teas such as Earl Grey, Mint, Apple Cinnamon and a few more.
There is only one front desk person who is responsible for many duties, some which require them to step away from the desk, leaving it empty. When I arrived I had to wait 15mins before a lady returned to her desk. I had occasion to deal with about 5 different front desk people and every single one of them showed amazing professionalism given the circumstances under which they must perform their duties and were more than willing to help me when I needed it. The multitask to the best of their ability to minimize the wait time for people. So go easy on them folks, if you run into the same situation. They're not fluffing off in a corner somewhere. They really are tending to something that requires then to leave their post.
Staff very helpful
no ledges in shower, towel rack too high up, breakfast moderate, rather unnecessary grandeur.
way to noisy. there was a function under our room. not able to sleep. very small.
What a horrible experience, and it was only 2 nights!!!! Location isn't close to anything unless u have a car. Their shuttle to/from the airport is $22 but is only 10 minutes (6 km) away. Half an hour to 45 minutes from downtown. This place is in the ghetto. Staff are incompetent. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.
Even though the room was small it was adequate for our needs. There was very good water pressure in the shower and we enjoyed the heated floor in the bathroom.
I had advised the staff about the fact that I was unable to secure the safety lock from inside the room - however, no one came to check it. Also, there was no fan to run when having a shower to prevent steam build up in the bathroom.
the price was attractive & nice free breakfast
the room was too tight & small.
There was a wedding and lasted late with loud noise and we couldn't sleep, many times we asked he staff but they didn't act on and finally I threatened to call police so they stopped at 2 am.
asked for extremely quick. Breakfast was delicious.
My only concern was that the WiFi was very very slow. My partner and I were searching nearby restaurants and the WiFi was so slow our phones ended up using data instead.
the location of the hotel front desk were very friendly & helpful
2 out of 7 night the maids haven't changed the towels in the bathroom
The inclusive breakfast was really good. For the price I was definitely happy with the facilities and service.
We loved the decor, comfortable spacious room, and great breakfast. Amazing dining area for the free breakfast with cloth draped chairs and a amazing chandelier! Staff was great also.
Location was a ways to drive into downtown Toronto with the traffic. Otherwise it was easy to find, quiet and right off the main road.
Easy check in etc
Although this hotel is miles from anywhere, located in the middle of a kind of wasteland, near a dismal mall, amazingly enough it is not that far from a bus line that does actually run regularly, even at night, to the nearest subway stop, Islington - so you can get in and out - thank God.
This place is very, very, very, distant from the city, with so-so staff, unappetizing breakfasts and at weekends it's used for huge wedding parties, so watch out.
- it was clean - low price
- room was too dark, one small window to atrium - breakfast was poor - hotel is older than how it looks like on photos
The rooms were clean, nicely furnished and comfortable.
The location,I guess I really didn't realize that it was almost 27 miles from downtown Toronto. The breakfast, although included in the price, left a lot to be desired. Not enough selections.
Beds were ok. Interior of rooms was dated but they made aspects of it look good so the impact was alright.
Not clean...carpets & walls were soiled. A note from previous occupant stating how much the hotel sucked was left in the rumpled hotel folio on the desk in our room...not a good sign! Breakfast was a throw-away...boiled bacon, re-processed ham, cold scrambled eggs....absolutely not worth going down to it (the children refused even the cereal). Wifi was very weak...these 'perks' should not be part of decision to g oto this hotel! Hotel only seemed to have one employee from 7pm as we called to get the baby cot we'd requested and waited some time, called again... the (nice) front desk manager arrived with it (finally).
Very clean and stylish
The air conditioning was poor. The unit was located just above the bed and there was no other option for adjusting the temperature but to tolerate the straight air into head . The breakfast was also the minimum possible
Clean rooms and location breakfast is ok staff friendly
Need to save parking spaces for guests when having events
I would recommend to my friends.
