Location and friendly helpful staff. Good cafe and bar
Every thing was great.
Staff are very friendly. Clean room, but no bath tub. Beds are just comfortable to sleep in. Easy to access to everywhere in Victoria. We could walk all the way to Fisherman's wharf. On a way back, we rode a water taxi.
We felt very comfortable in our room. The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very good. We had an excellent sleep
The noise of traffic was loud until about midnight. The area was a little sketchy
The hotel location is at the edge of busy and touristy downtown so while it was convenient, it was not noisy. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the complimentary breakfast in the lobby was much better than most hotels. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Overall a very pleasant stay
winter weight duvet in summer.
The hotel staff was incredibly helpful with guidance on where to go in the city and we really enjoyed interacting with them. Then our car broke down in the check-in parking area. They offered us the use of their phones, water, coffee, and to hold a room for us until we determined if we could get our car running that day (although only 2 rooms were left for the night). They made a bad situation stress free. I couldn't have been happier with this hotel and the staff.
Proximity to downtown.
A bit loud on the street.
Great cheese plate Nicely appointed room Excellent staff
Lovely old hotel very nice room
Noise from the street was very loud
World class bar staff and bar as for breakfast the hash is one of the best things i'v eaten in years
Woman who checked me in was so warm and friendly.
A/c was a bit finicky.
the location was within walking distance of all. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
We liked the tasteful fittings, the vouchers for discounts from the restaurant, location, cleanliness, quiet.
We felt the room was a little small, but it really wasn't a problem
Friendly staff who are willing to go the extra mile and help you. We had a superior king room at the back of the hotel (ask for a quite room if possible) - we heard nothing so we didn't have to use the ear plugs! The super king size bed was so comfortable. Bathroom a great size. Sofa very compfy. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee making facilities. The hotel provides you with a voucher which enables you to have a free coffee and muffin for breakfast or $3 off the menu - we always went for the breakfast so we had $6 off the bill and the coffee was also free. There is a complimentary cheese board when you arrive which can be eaten in the tapas restaurant. Happy hour is 4-6pm. Easy to walk down to the main activities.
The room was very well furnished. Lots of amenities. And a great location. We barely wanted to leave the room, but there was an excellent tapas restaurant downstairs. We also enjoyed the coffee bar for breakfast.
Parking was a bit of a pain.
we were given incorrect information about street parking - and got a parking ticket - when we spoke to the manager - she blamed us for not reading the sign not interested in just apologizing that her staff had misguided us - no resolution other than she would try our best to get off the $20 parking ticket - no guarantee. seriously , if you want to have people recommending you to their friends etc. this is not the way to grow your clientelle or reputation- we will not recommend this place to anyone because of her bad attitude.
Cleanliness and comfortable bed. Happy hour was nice
Clean rooms Excellent friendly staff
There were lots if homeless people around near the hotel, which I found very offputting.
Everything is good, like the fact that it is near China Loved the breakfast and the complimentary cheese platter!
On the down side is the window of my room is basically facing another people room window. I can see people bed from my window, I closed my curtain for the whole stay.
Friendly welcome, good service, excellent tapas/cocktail bar, comfortable room.
Our room was next to the ice machine which woke us during the night.
Rooms very comfortable, free wifi, excellent restaurant with fab tapas. Loved watching cocktails being made in the bar. Central location so easy walking around town.
Some street noise, not a real issue.
Breakfast vouchers, credit for not using room service, free cheese platter at tapas lounge, large bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows.
Street noise (our room was over a crosswalk and we heard beeping all night), people in room next to us were early risers and were noisy.
Rooms well furbished Breakfast and option not to eat a full meal WIFI excellent the best and easiest we had in our stay in Canada Location great for downtown Victoria
Off loading of bags and off site parking
- Located in the centre of Victoria, everything within walking distance - Professional staff (especially Alex) - Good restaurant inside - Nicely renovated
- On the first day, we had issues with the cleanliness of the room (cookie crumbs on the floor, hair in the blanket). After our complaint it was handled well. - The room we got on the 4th floor was very small and facing a wall - paid parking, limited breakfast, price vs. value a bit on the wrong side
