Rooms and decor Staff very helpful
Car park away from main building No pool
Very helpful staff and excellent restaurants
Lovely service, the free coupons for food is terrific as well. Great location easy to walk anywhere you would need.
Tv was a little smaller than expected
You would expect a certain amount of noise from the streets staying downtown but, the construction of the building is solid and I slept great. Great lounge downstairs for a quick cocktail before hitting the town or making a night of it.
Really nicely decorated, very clean boutique hotel within walking distance of the harbour, Empress etc. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended!
As notes by others the location and noise isn't great. But this is more than made up for by the friendly, knowledgeable staff and the excellent food/cocktails in the adjoining lounge bar.
The free cheeseplate given as a deal with the hotel stay.
The location was okay. Previous reviews made it sound like this hotel was really upscale and in a great location. Hotel was okay and the location was okay.
The room was very comfortable and there was a lively bar/diner attached to the hotel. The breakfasts were good too.
The lack of parking in front of the hotel was a pain when dropping bags off.
the receptionist was very helpul and pleasants
We were not made aware till we arrived that there was no parking avilable
The Rialto staff was welcoming and very attentive and helpful in planning our adventures around Victoria. The location was wonderfully close to shopping and great restaurants and within walking distance to harbor activities. The hotel had a wonderful bar serving very good food. I would stay again,
Parking was off site less than a block away, yet convenient enough for us.
Room was modern and clean
Slow check-in. Receptionist on phone for 5 minutes.
Staff, decor, the tapas bar & complementary cheese plate: all great. Room small but elegant. Heated floor in large bathroom. Ask for quiet room.
Price a tad high.
Excellent staff and customer service. Updated appointments in a boutique hotel. Downtown location Good restaurant
Fitness room off property Uncovered and off property parking
The staff was both professional and helpful. The location was perfect for us. Surrounded by excellent restaurants and shopping. Will definitely return.
parking - while close not convenient. Thinking you should have a valet system
We stayed at Hotel Rialto over our wedding weekend and when we arrived, were met with incredible kindness and generosity by the staff. They knew we were there for our wedding and gave us a complimentary upgrade to the Superior King Room, and were gracious and accommodating every step of the way. Being an old boutique hotel, the rooms are not large (unless you stay in the suites), but the rooms were immaculate and comfortable, and our bathroom was huge. Every single staff member treated us like a personal friend and made us feel great about our wedding weekend. They tried to accommodate our every request with a smile on their face. When we came back from our wedding night, our rooms had been tidied up and they had left a cheese plate and a congratulatory card in our room. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - the rooms were nice and the food was great, but the staff was really what made all the difference for us!
The staff was very professional and responsive. The decor of the hotel was superb and I enjoyed learning about the history of the building itself. I also really appreciated the fact that I requested a tub and a view because I was celebrating my birthday and they upgraded me and my wishes came true :) The staff also had a personalized card in the room for me when I arrived and my room was ready early! I work in the hotel industry and I was quite impressed. Thank you Hotel Rialto!
Upon arrival, I noticed the cleanliness of the unit was a bit under par. There was significant dust on most surfaces: bathroom counters, tissue boxes, ledges etc. It didn't bother me too much because I work in the industry and I am familiar with all the hard work housekeeping does. Things most definitely fall through the cracks and it's understandable. Additionally, the bed had black hairs all over the top and inside the sheets... and our sheets were shredded upon arrival. The staff should pay closer attention to detail because first impressions are everything :)
Would stay again staff very helpful and it was in a good location for the town centre. The best of it was they had a cocktail bar where the baran conjured up fantastic cocktails. It was an education just watching him.
Staff efficient and friendly. The bedroom is on the small side but the bathroom was large and both were very clean. Tapas bar good food and ambience. Walking distance to just about everything you want to see.
We lookied into another room so our room was on the dark side but it was quiet.
The complimentary cheese plate and the bar, including the service there, were excellent. Our room was very clean.
Because the building is old the pipes were loud and the room was quite small.
The location The rooms The cafe and restaurant The staff
Would have liked a bigger lounge bar
The room The location The friendly staff
There wasn't anything to dislike
This hotel was in a great location. Close proximity to China Town, inner harbor, Bastion Square, Empress Hotel, Provincial Museum. It is well maintained and beuatifully remodelled. We ate in both restaurants and were impressed with the food. A good bargain.
The superior queen room was a little small and could have used a couple of drawers to put stash some clothes during our stay. Hotel parking is limited, so parking on the street or in a nearby parkade was necessary.
Staff was very helpful with directions. Very friendly.
No pool and parking was not close enough and should be include in the price for the room.
location bar spacious room good wi-fi
loss of hotel dedicated parking
