My only complaint is that the breakfast was lacking a bit. I appreciate that it's included in the room cost, which is pretty rare, especially in bigger cities, but I needed just a little more - perhaps a protein option other than hard boiled eggs and cold cuts. If you don't do dairy or gluten, you're pretty much stuck with fruit. The yogurt, cereal, pastries and bagels looked lovely, and I understand that's pretty much what a continental breakfast is, but peameal bacon, even another egg option, would've been nice, too.
The staff was excellent from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The room was spacious and modern, which was a surprise considering it's such an old property. They've done a great job with the conversion to a hotel. It was quiet and nice to get away from Toronto city centre but it's also very close. Without traffic (which is never) it's like downtown Tdot is right down the street. Otherwise, it's still only 15-20 minutes away. Tip: avoid Bloor like the plague! Take the Queensway or the Gardiner if it's running well. Then of course there's a TTC station about four minutes around the corner. Super easy, this place is very accessible.
