I enjoyed the living room and bedroom separate..the bed was amazing..staff and location was great.
Elevators small and slow..
I enjoyed the location and for the the most part the staff. The room was ok, not as I requested but it was a nice room overall
I was very disappointed with the individual who checked me in. He was condescending and rude. He certainly did not make me feel welcome at the hotel nor was he genuine. When leaving he asked my boyfriend if his mother would be paying for his parking... he actually announced it to the entire lobby. My boyfriend mentioned that he would be paying for his parking and that I was his girlfriend not mother. The employee continues to refer to me as his mother. I was so embarrassed and upset I couldn't wait to leave the hotel. I thought that this was a high end hotel that would have employees who wouldn't publicly embarrass their guests much less be so arrogant towards them. I will not be referring this hotel in future to anyone I know until someone can assure me this is not their hotel standard to provide poor service.
The valet service.
In addition, we found the room poorly cleaned, finding bottle caps and hair. The room service food was poorly prepared. So neither the preparing of our own food or utilizing the hotel food service were pleasant. Management didn't take ownership of the issues. There was too long a discussion until we got a token rate relief equal to the expected dog cleaning charge. It didn't feel right to be charged for cleanliness when the hotel hadn't maintained it's cleanliness.
Location, Location, Location.
For the purpose of this trip there is nothing we didn't like.
Staff very accomodating Location excellent Offers limo to airport Spectacular views from the 30th floor
Room not clean upon arrival Did not have sofabed as requested in first room they sent us to Bathroom door did not close No pillows for sofabed occupant--had to use shams
We were attending a wedding in the area, lots to do during our stay. Fantastic restaurants - even took in the Royal Winter Fair! Accommodations were perfect!
Excellent location. A subway stop is literally just outside the door. Short cab ride from the lovely Distillery District. Lovely well appointed rooms.
We had never booked last minute before and were very pleased with this hotel. Modern, comfortable and the staff was friendly and inviting. View of Toronto was magnificent and found myself moving the chair just so I could look out the window.
Wished the parking was cheaper but other then that, we had no complaints.
Location, views, size of room, staff excellence and knowledge
We had a combined washer dryer which was marvellous but it took us and staff time to work out how to operate it. Aircon could have been cooler.
A lovely room, great ammenities and perfect location for my purpose.
Avoid the 12th floor! It's a beautiful banquet facility, however a banquet room on the 12th floor, near my room, made for a noisy night. Suggest guests inquire as to events, room location prior to arrival.
The underground P.A.T.H. is connected to the Hotel allowing us the leisurely convenience of getting to Air Canada Centre, The CN Tower and Aquarium. Union Station and North to Dundas Square with our toddler grandchilden.
While there is parking on site Cost is double the rate of nieghbouring underground. The hotel staff is gracious in directing you to park elsewhere if Valet parking is not necessary for your stay.
Kitchenette was pretty awesome. Front desk staff were very helpful upon check in. Bed was clean and big. TV was HD. Room was large and modern. Toiletries were good quality! We had an issue with the phone and Internet but they were both fixed promptly! I would consider coming back!
Our window/view was of another wall. The online ad showed this particular room with a view of the city and water. False advertisement! The kitchenette had greasy finger marks everywhere and the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Shower floor tile needs to be bleached. The grout is horrific. Check out staff weren't all that friendly. Pillows were down so it was like sleeping with mush. Not comfortable. Room stayed hot until morning. Air filter is way overdue to be changed.
The comfort and staff very helpful.
For some reason the air quality in the room was very poor.
- location and subway connection was perfect - view of city was pretty - bed was very comfortable
fan was on from time we arrived and did not know how to turn it off... was difficult to fall asleep at first, upon waking fan was still on
Wireless Internet service was very poor.
Great service. Excellent location near downtown. Very comfortable room.
Loved the historical elegance of this hotel. Great location. Lovely rooftop patio. Disappointed that I didn't know about it until I was checking out though.
Blacked out windows due to exterior restorations but that's temporary. Looked like the maid did not finish cleaning the room as the full garbage can was left on top of the kitchen counter. No dishwasher detergent, got it from the maid and no dish towels or paper towels in the kitchenette. Minor annoyances though as I would definitely return to this hotel.
Location friendly staff cleanliness price
We were well treated. Place was very clean and the amenities were terrific. Close to Eaton's Centre and the action on King st.
The information about breakfast was unclear. On the reservation it implied that we had to pay 20.00 per person per breakfast every day. IN actual fact, we only made it to breakfast one day and it was approximately 30.00 per person. We were not given the appropraite coupons or something?
The location is excellent. Very convenient to get around downtown Toronto
No free wi-fi in the rooms. For the kind of room rate, it should include wi-fi. I think it is unthinkable to not have wi-fi in today's day and age
Room smelled of cigarette smoke and had a massive sky light with no curtains - try sleeping in that room! Wifi was spotty.
It should be a three stars hotel.
Nice roomin an historic building clean with good kitchen. This represented good value for the money.
Excellent downtown location, walking distance to Rogers centre and Eaton centre, many great restaurants close by. Comfortable beds. They changed our room as soon as we asked and gave us a free breakfast to make up for the noise.
Checked into room beside the elevator shaft. Listened to elevator all night. Went out for the day, came back at 5pm and room isn't made up. Asked for different room at desk and got one right away. Unfortunately ended up beside a party room and no amount of calling the desk helped - two sleepless nights.
