Price: $33/night Convenient Clean Tours Had staff that spoke English
Not much. Beds could be softer, but most Chinese hotels have the same style beds.
Cheap for Beijing, right in the thick of things for local food, walking distance to airport shuttle, subway, restaurants, shopping & Tiananmen Square.
Staff are really noisy! Talking loudly at the crack of dawn & the noise travels. Bathroom didn't drain, toilet sometimes wouldn't flush. The restaurant gives you whatever food they feel like rather than your order (which has a full description on it) so a big breakfast which included tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans & hash browns instead just had cold tinned corn & fries... They did give us a discount though.
The location was great, the staff were very helpful and useful. The room was very clean and comfortable.
The wifi was weak & they need to upgrade their routers to improve this.
It is located in a very convenient place from where you can visit all the touristy places in BeiJing.
It was very difficult to use the toilet as it was placed in wrong direction.
Generally, very good in terms of cleanliness, customer service, and facilities. Very close to 前门步行街 （5 minutes), to BRT and bus station is about 10 minutes, easy to find cheap and good food.
Sometimes no hot water especially early morning. It is in an alley, a bit dark.
Very near to Tiananmen Square, shopping district and restaurants Clean and adequate for our needs
Little bit tired and run down Room was small
Is really near to Qianmen Dajie. Is just take 2 minutes. There have a lot of food to eat and shopping.
The hotel is without lift. You have highlighted to the hotel that you have old people accompany. Ask them to arrange the room at low level. If not you have to climb 2 level of staircase to your room together with your heavy luggage. Is very difficult for old people.
the typical architecture ("cour carrée" in the hutong , very near to Tiananmen Square. The breakfasts are very good and the personnel is very welcoming and helpful The rooms were cleaned every day
If you ask for pack food in advance (ex: to go to the great wall in the morning very early), they wait for you to arrive in the very morning to make it. They dont do it in advance so include it in your planning !
the bed was like sleeping on a rock. wifi did not work on upper floors had to lug laptop down 2 floors each time. staff did not assist in bringing down suitcases . staff attitude towards obtaining transport to airport at end of stay was non existent. we had to cart luggage to main rd to hail a taxi
Simple but well organised and clean hotel in a traditional Hutong area (narrow streets of low rise Chinese style housing). A lot of charm. A lot of restaurants and shops round the corner, a lot of value for money around, but not much western style food for those who insist on it. Study well your map in order to find the hotel in the small Hutong lane.
The main street Quianmen Street is closed at night. This forces you to find your way through back streets after 10pm but Beijing is a pretty safe place.
poor wifi dirty bathroom trouble hot water
The staff gave us a map in English of the neighbourhood including attractions, also advice about choosing a Peking duck restaurant around the Meishi Jie. We didn't pay additional fee for the deluxe room given to us instead of the standard double room, because of the full capacity of the latter type.
It's good that the receptionists are young, but they get panicked when seeing many customers and we needed time to receive our deposit. The hotel is not so near attractions, as the squares and streets are big. So, to find the hotel, you need to know it's near a subway station and the road of the Railway Museum till the intersection with the Meishi Street.
It is close to most attractions, good shoping area, close to buses, and subway.
Bed was rockhard, realy coold in the reception and dinning area.
great location, clean bed
small rooms, narrow stairs, knowledge of Emglish is not more than fair. Weak wif in the room (you have to sit in the corridor or in the bar/lobby)
The location is excellent in the heart of the night markets, walking street, subway & Tianamen. Plenty of food places nearby including macdonalds. An elect jug supplied to make coffee. Staff were helpful & spoke pretty good English. Heater in room as it was down to zero at night
Bed is very hard but that could be how Chinese beds are. Although my room was on level one up the back a lot of noise can be heard from other guests.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, English was good, we enjoyed our stay, really close to tian Amin square and the forgotten city, I would go there again for sure, prob the only 2 things that could do with a look at is the beds are really firm and the Breaky took a while to get it after ordering, but we were really happy.. Thankyou to the staff
Beds a bit hard & food slow to get, but we were really happy with our stay there and we would stay there again for sure
Loved the stay. Excellent location, nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Close to subway and city centre.
Sometimes I had problems connecting to the wifi, sometimes it worked without problem.
The location, even though it is kind of strange during nightime (after 23:00). Nice, clean room (everyday cleaning). Air condition (necessary for the cold Beijing). Good value for money.
Some humidity in the wall, a liitle bit afraid of using the plug on it. I d like more safety prospects because of the area (in a small hutong).
Great location. A lot of sights can be reached by feet in minutes. Subway station is also close, as well as pedestrian area and food places. Staff was also helpful.
The bigger rooms are only on the ground floor
พนักงานบริการดี Staff nice and friendly, room okay, good location, full of restaurant and souvenir shop.
It will be very good if the room was done early.
The hotel is very well located, near Tiananmen Square and Qiangmen metro station. Not easy to arrive the first day as it is located on a hutong (small alley). Staff were kind and tried to help you. Food at the hotel was ok. Laundry service: 20 Y/kilo --> OK.
Bed to hard. Bathroom without shower separation, so after a shower all floor get flooded and toilet can not be used as it get completely wet.
Rooms located around two courtyards, very nice setup. Even rooms to sit together and a bar, a little bit of a hostel feeling. Flexible young staff, doing their best to learn English. Great!
Breakfast and coffee quite expensive for China.
Quality-price expensive. Hard bed. Old furniture. We book three night and the first one they didn't have the room (I cannot remember the excuse), so we went to another hotel, for the same price and it was a horrible... I would not come back...
Friendly / Helpful Staff. Typical hutong location. Walk to Metro / Bus. Great Wall Tours organised by hotel. Good daily room service.
Everything else seems good to me.
