Location Staff attitude
Staff The breakfast Central location Tourist advice
It was noisy Didnt have a hair dryer Taxi drivers didnt recognize the street and refused to drive me.
Great location. It's between the Palace Museum and Wangfujing Area. Nearby restaurants with fair price. Short taxi ride to Beihai & Jingshan Park, Qianmen, Temple of Heaven. Comfortable bedroom like home.
Near the Forbidden city and the shopping street.
No mirror in the room! A small room Very noisy- a lot of buses under your window! Wake you up at 04:00
Close to restaurants and tourist areas.
The wi-fi was not very consistent.
Location (few minutes walk to Forbidden City and Metro) View from rooftop
Bed was very hard - not comfy at all Very small room Very small bathroom (no extra shower cabin - whole bathroom was the shower) Window look-out into the stairway Noisy during night Only chinese channels
Excellant location. Big rooms.
Some staff miserable. Restaurant terrible. Decor very dated. Mouldy shower cubicle.
Good location, near Tianamen Sq and forbidden city Big room Price
Woke us up in the middle of the night to tell us it was raining and to close windows. Windows were closed. Staff seemed very unhappy all the time. Hotel generally a bit shabby
The room is always neat and tidy. The bed is very comfortable. I always have a good sleep after a tiring day at a meeting. Fresh towels are always available as I requested.
The wifi connection is weak. The lamp is not for reading purposes.
Good location, close to Wanfujin and Tiananmen. Shops located at the other side of the street. Some of the staff speak English and they try to help you as much as they can. Clean hotel, nice roof terrace. Breakfast was overpriced
Business center is crap. Slowest internet connection I've ever experienced. Ordered a trip to the Great Wall but in the end we didn't go. Our guide called us with arguments that we had to choose for the more expensive trip (didn't agree). The day of departure she called us in the morning (6.20 am) and started to use silly arguments again. We decided to cancel. If you wanna go the the Great Wall, look somewhere else.
the hotel is in a good position close to the center
the staff speck a strange english.. When I arrived in the hotel, I had to paid a deposit with my visa card, also more than the cost of the room.. The staff was not helpfull when I asked informations of the transportations. The breakfast is too much expensive.
Very good location almost Clean room
It is quite near to Wangfujing street where you can find a lot of food stalls, shopping centers etc.
Deposits - There is no mention about deposits before we arrive at the hotel and the deposit is cny600+, which had a huge cut on our expenses budget for our stay in Beijing. Staff - there are 2 or 3 good staff who really respect their services and attend to our needs, listen to us. But we also encountered a handful of staff who are not so friendly, e.g. we asked the counter whether the tour guide has arrived and where should we wait for the tour guide, the staff, still sitting in her chair, showed us an irritated face and asked "where did you book the tour package" and used her jaw to "show" us wait at "there". End up, tour guide was looking for us and he couldn't find us. Taxi service - When we needed taxi service, the response was slow and we never had any successful case of getting a taxi from them, we end up catching taxis outside the hotel. Tour package - rather expensive and we did not have good impression for our tour guide. Wanted to stay longer at the Great Wall which is the key point of the whole trip! But we had to rush back to the tour bus bcoz he "has to" bring us to the "silk store" and "usually people are tired after climbing 1hour". Oh not to mention, our tour package did not include transportation to the Great Wall gates, we were told that we must take the cable car or tramp car in order to start our climb, which we initially thought that we can walk to the gates so that we did not have to pay for the cable car, that costs us another CNY100 per person.
Staff very helpful
The bad smell in the bathroom.
I can highly recommend the Tianan Rega because I immensely enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and very comfortable: spacious with a soft bed and wonderful shower and the view from the roof of the hotel is stunning! Most notable: the staff were very friendly and accommodating. For example, when I wanted to go to a tourist destination one member of staff was kind enough to write very detailed instructions for me, with bus numbers, the time of the bus journey, number of stops and walking instructions to and from places. She even included a Chinese translation to show locals if I got confused! This was incredibly helpful, I don't know when I have experienced such service. Finally, the location cannot be beat with many local buses running through the area and the subway in close proximity as well as Tiananmen Sq. and the Forbidden City just a few minutes away on foot you can get a very efficient start to your visit to Beijing. Additionally, for a nice international vibe and a few Chinese novelties you can explore the Wangfujiang shopping area which is also only moments away. There are outdoor bars, some Western fast foods and lots of inexpensive Chinese options as well. As a lone traveler, this area felt very safe and I never had to use a costly taxi with the subway and buses so at hand. Thank you so much, Tianan Rega, for making my stay in Beijing so lovely!
My only complaint is that the internet did not really work, though this is common in China, including in my own apartment!
Only the location.
The bedsheet was kind of soiled and I suspect there could bed bugs 'cos my whole body itched while sleeping.
The location is fabulous :)
best position, close to Forbidden City and close to the pedestrian area for tlhe night
wifi no good
near shopping center
The bed was soft, which is unusual in China... I really liked that!
Very close to the forbidden city, Tiananmen Place and Wangfujing Road! Also very near to Metrostation. I can recommand this hotel.
WiFi not working
Only two girls were exceptionally good. But only gave us the information when asked.
Did not like the fact that very few could speak a little English. Information was only given when asked. It was not offered.
Very good hotel!
Wi-Fi is not perfect, but it is not bad either.
The location is perfect for visiting Tiannamen Square and the Forbidden City. The bed was particularly comfortable.
