Good location, right at wangfujing
The service was very bad (staff was quite unfriendly and annoyed when we reported to them at our arrival that our bathroom door was not able to be closed and barely offered us a neew room).
very good location, bettween Tian An Men Square and Wangfujing Road and close to subway.
Strong smoke smell everywhere in the hotel. Expensive breakfast (88 yuan) and not close to any supermarket if you wanna buy your own food.
Great location, it has it's own tourist office
Poor internet, the room had a window directly into another room, and they were banging a lot because of work done just beside our room
Very good location - in walking distance to both historical and shopping areas. Room was clean and generally comfortable
The room was very dark and had o window onto the outside world
good location; comfortable.
This hotel is a short walk from the square. Super comfy bed.
The hotel "kindly" upgraded our room.... To one with no windows.
The location is convenient: very close to the subway, Forbidden City, restaurants, little supermarkets. Compared to other Chinese hotels, most of the staff in this hotel speaks english.
It is very noisy in this hotel: other guests and the staff were screaming, a big and load construction the whole day long It was extremely hot in the room even though our heat was not on. The air conditioning did not cool the room down. Even opening the window did not help because of a big wall in front of the window. Therefore it was very hard to sleep at night. We wanted to check out later but the staff did not allowed it to us. Very unprofessional, inefficient and unfriendly staff.
the location of the hotel is near Wangfujing area and price is reasonable.
The room is small and many items such as windows and shower head are in poor working condition.
Reasonable location, close to subways. Reasonable prices. They let me checkin early.
Heating was either off, or too hot. Staff spoke minimal english. Room was falling apart. Smell of smoking and urine from the air-con. Terrible wifi that didnt work 50% of the time. Incredibly hard mattress
They upgrade us to suite which really give us the space we need.
Convenient store quiet distance n limited, food choices limited too. Room up keeping not very good, ie cleanliness, no proper replacement of tissue and such. The aircond unit not working n make it hot n uncomfortable when dressing up
it is really convenient to subway, Wangfujing business street, and comfort to stay at, for this cold winter, we really enjoy to stay at hotel.
we were not informed in advance about 15%extra charge when we check in
Location, proximity to interesting places, price
The hotel is in a great location, within 5 to 10min walk of shopping centres, tourist destinations and subways. Staff were helpful and house keeping were quick to respond. Additionally the hotel did provide 2 small bottles of drinking water per day. Some tea, coffee and sugar. The room did have an ethernet plug for a laptop.
Before arrival to China the hotel charges a holding charge, equivalent of $75 AUD. Upon arrival and introduction to the hotel they immediately charged equivalent of $400 AUD additional on top of quoted Booking.com price. There was no compromise and choice but to charge the additional cost. The hotel promised to return the deposit and the holding charge after 2 weeks, which did not occur. We had a 3 weeks stay so were able to request the deposit and holding charge be returned in person. On the last day after 3 weeks we paid the hotel and had to specifically request the deposit be returned. The hotel looks worn, the floors don't seem to be vacuumed very often and wallpaper was peeling. Air-conditioning is not effective, in winter the room was 28 to 30 degrees celsius with no ability to control the temperature through the ineffective aircon. Centre rooms have a window facing a wall, Furniture was old with stained seats. The room and building smelt of stale cigarettes and dampness on the non smoking floor. The bed was uncomfortable providing no support and its mattress protector had some serious stains. The bathroom had mould and the shower sprayed unevenly with calcium build up. Very small amounts of body wash are provided, at a rate of 1 per day. House keeping provided one small roll of toilet paper with no spare and one small sachet of tissues were provided. There were no clothes washing facilities but there was a laundromat service, provided at cost. For internet access, the password was not provided for WIFI. Ethernet connection was slow and internet was unreliable. The TV had poor reception and there was only 1 english channel, HBO. Which did not work on many occasions. Don't touch the mini bar or drinks in the fridge as the Evian water is 45 yuan, and price is only provided once drink is taken. Before you leave, ensure you request the holding charge and your deposit be returned before you pay.
Location is very good for business or pleasure. Forbidden city is next door, same as metro.
Very dark rooms. Shaved with my phone in flashlight mode. Breakfast is suited rather for Chinese visitors to Beijing.
Location Helpful staff
not so comfortable beds that cause back pain While our staying they never vacuumed the floor Wi fi didn't work properly
It is very close to Wangfujing street and the forbidden city. The rooms are clean, tidy and the shower was excellent. There was a good variety of food available for breakfast and they were willing to pack us up a takeout. Wifi was good for accessing emails and the certain apps accessible in China. The safe was good and easy to use.
The air conditioning didn't work well. There are no small independent food places to eat nearby. Wangfujing street is good for street food but if your not wanting that every night then the main food places nearby are in malls. You have to venture out of the area for a nice sit down meal or drink, although the subway isn't too far away to do that.
Very close to the forbidden city and the subway.
The air-conditioning didn't work and the wifi was terrible, although staff did supply a fan on last night to try and cool the room down
Poor WiFi signal, deposit
Everything's except the bed
The bed to woke up with a sore back in morning
Great location, comfy bed, near subway and amazing Wangfujing food and and shopping alleys. A great headquarters for doing Beijing on your own- no tours needed since subway is just 2¥ (32 U.S. cents!) and can take you everywhere (except the Great Wall). We would definitely stay again.
Front desk rather busy at times and not much English spoken but mostly helpful and friendly nonetheless. (That was part of fun of being in China!)
Good attractions very close by - Tianmen Square, Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street Hutongs - all just a walk away.
Hotel needs to keep the hotel much cleaner.
Room Bathroom Soap Smell Wifi - horrible wifi connection
Location was great just next to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City and Wanfujing St. Great roof terrace overlooking much of Beijing - open at night too, so you can just sit and rest and enjoy the view. Loved having a clean toilet and bedroom and mini-fridge, fresh towels and wifi after the train ride! We managed to get this at a good price - so good value for us.
Beware the deposit taken and how long it takes to refund - we are still waiting!!! The area felt a very business like and modern. As others have said the hotel is a bit jaded - more 3 star than 4 stars. Staff not particularly interested after booking you in.
location and standard
poor englsh skills of the staff
