The Hotel Die Tanne in central Goslar offers country-style rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a daily breakfast buffet. Goslar Train Station is just an 8 minute walk away.
Score from 76 reviews Good
This 3-star hotel is a beautiful historic building with a traditional façade in the Old Town of Goslar. It is a 15-minute walk from Goslar Train Station and the market square.
Score from 247 reviews Very good
In the Harz Mountains, this hotel is in the old city of Goslar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It offers modern guest apartments, an outdoor terrace and traditional cuisine.
Score from 353 reviews Wonderful
This hotel guarantees a good night’s sleep, despite its central location in beautiful, historic Goslar, near the Kaiserpfalz residence and the old market square with its famous chimes.
Score from 113 reviews Good
It's a good value for money stay; the room was impeccably clean with an excellent bed, just as you'd expect in a German guest house. It's very close to the town centre; the earlier reviewer who didn't like the walk into town must have a deep aversion to walking. It's a gentle 5 minute stroll into the superb Goslar centre. Well stocked, inexpensive refrigerated drinks cabinet in the hallway downstairs.
Not a lot of staff support evident. We arrived at 6 but only through an earlier phonecall were we able to get to our room. The owners were very trusting of guests. I thought the breakfast was disappointing, in terms of the rising standard of this meal across Western Europe and set against Germany's very high standard. The coffee was very good, but as for the rest it was only adequate and somewhat predictable. In a B & B, guest house or hotel, breakfast is a meal one should look forward to and want to get up for. Here, this wasn't the case.
Laisser faire approach. Clean and comfortable. Not too far from town centre
Upmarket furnished room and a nice breakfast. short walk in to town.
No login wifi documentation in room or foyer.
No hairdryer,poor wifi
Good location in a quiet neighbourhood with a car park. Room had a balcony.
Nice and Clean. Liked the breakfast served to the table instead of a messy buffé. The host gave great service!
Good location Friendly owner Very clean room and toilet Good breakfast
WiFi worked only for 1 hour
Room was clean, beds were soft, breakfast was included with room and was good value for the price.
The guest house is 5-10 min by walk from the Markt. After crossing Kaisertorstrasse, there are guiding signs to the guest house. My room (no. 7; single room with a shared bath room) was very clean and comfortable. The shared bath room was also clean. Breakfast (three kinds of bread, a boiled egg, several slices of ham and cheese, a small portion of tomato salad) was prepared for individual guests and brought by a staff. There were fruits (kiwi and apple) and yogurt for everyone. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions (a recommended local restaurant and so on). The value for money is extremely high.
WiFi was not fast enough to browse web pages although there was a WiFi router in my room. The wall/door of the rooms are not soundproof so that you hear noise from other rooms.
Good location, great shower, comfy bed and clean.
Wi-fi kept failing - not much in the grand scheme of things.
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly.
A very comfortable house with a very relaxed atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and the standard of the accommodation and the breakfast is exceptional. Highly recommended.
Beatifully laid-out breakfast
Lack of warmth in the welcome. He was happy to take our money but made it clear we were not his type.
Pleasant rooms, reasonably central location.
The walk back to the guesthouse from the town centre - not too bad really!
Spacious room in a very quiet neighborhood but within easy walking distance to a must-see city. The gasthaus was better than the 4-star hotel room we stayed at the night before.
Very friendly en comfortable hotel on walking distance from the center of this lovely town
Friendly and pleasant.
