Crazy traffic and noise, dangerous to walk as a pedestrian since there are almost no traffic lights and pedestrian crossings. Uber taxis are very cheap, but most of them drive like crazy and don't have functional seatbelts at the back seats. We found the best food and view at the Greek Club, and amazing croissants at the Croissant D'Alexis! Montazah park is beautiful and offers some fantastic views away from the traffic and the noise.

Visiting town centre, with its many suks, was one of the highlights. Major sights like the Library are well known. Less so the newly renovated Greek and Roman Art Museum. Our guide didn't intend to take us there but we insisted and were very pleased that we did as it is one of the most important museums in Egypt.

It’s a great city for the soul. Once you enter the city and see the sea, you will feel so refreshing.
Everything is great there, whatever historical places or nature or atmosphere in the downtown in the night.

There is no place to take a pleasant walk in the city or spend time except the museum and library. It is a very ruined, chaotic, noisy, dirty city with terrible traffic, so walking or hanging around is not only unpleasant but also tiring. However, its library and Greco-Roman Museum are incredibly impressive. Other museums are very ordinary. Seafood dishes are very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Therefore, I think 2 days are enough to visit this city; You can spend a lot of time in the library and the museum, take a coffee break in a cafe (the number of stylish ones is almost nonexistent), take a short city walk and see what looks like it and gain insight about the city and have a seafood dinner in the evening and continue on your way.

was a lovely hotel, staff all friendly, my only complaint is that everywhere you went you could smell cigarette smoke, people smoked in the lobby, and the corridors the rooms, even though my room was clearly labeled no smoking everything stunk of cigarette smoke including fresh bedding and towels. this for a smoker would be not noticed, but if like me and my daughters (all nonsmokers) it was enough to put a black cloud over the whole holiday .

I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria.
I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria. It is a big, bustling city, and parts of it are very dirty. However, there are so many interesting things to see, and it is pretty easy to get around, I used Uber. It’s a very interesting city, and I recommend giving it at least a few days.
This is great location 3 minutes from the promenade. Nearby there is a tram station and a supermarket. There are many coffee and restaurants in the area with middle check 50-100 pounds. The really sociable owner is always in online👍.
The room is clean and there is an amazingly comfortable desk to work with (It is very important for me). Probably the best wifi in Egypt 👍👍👍 And you have a balcony with a super view.
I really liked living here, I recommend visiting this place.
This looks like a 5 star resort and we got ourselves a beach banglow, which is conveniently located on the Mammoura beach. The banglow is right infront of the beach and you could hear the roaring of the sea all day and night long. The breakfast was great to say the least which featured Egyptian traditional options, as well as continental and western dishes. The best breakfast we had during our stay in egypt. Must stay in Alexandria. You would not find anything better.
The quality of the room is fine with a big balcony and clean bathroom. Maybe the building of the hotel is old, but it doesn't mean any disadvantage for the guests.
The beach is also very lovely with free sunbeds and towels on the site.
The breakfast was good, it was like in any other hotel in Egypt.
The staff is is very hospitable, so nice people. On the departure day i didn't know how to get to the airport, but the staffs have organized a private transfer for me.
Hello 👋 all the room are arround the pool 100 % new and clean 😀 this is the second time here and the hotel is new 👌 everything i like in the room plus it is always no noise when it is not summer and i respect GM's who make 👏 the special rate for Egyptians paying with the Egyptian pounds as the local law in the central bank of egypt 🇪🇬 and the tourism local policy for egyption special rate which i know from 25 years tourism, special thanks & appreciated much .
Amazing hotel, loved everything about it , it should be a 5 stars , it’s the cleanest hotel where I stayed in Egypt, the rooms are huge with comfortable beds , I had a beautiful view over the main square and sea view , breakfast is fabulous, the chef will make for you fresh omelets or pancakes, I’m really happy that I stayed here on my last night in Egypt, also the staff is very nice and helpful!!!
My stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the warm and welcoming smiles of the staff to the impeccable elite service, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The buffet offered a delightful array of delicious options, and the breathtaking view from my room was the cherry on top. The room itself was well-equipped and provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!
I didn’t like the property I arrived and there was no receptionist after a while to see if they would arrive I finally gave them a call they picked up to tell me that there was other Egyptian people who took precedence so I was not gonna be able to stay there after I had already paid for the accommodation and had my reservation left me stranded at night
Location is awesome (easy for UBER)
View is amazing , hotel is calm and peaceful.
I asked for room service (dining) at a very late time .. The kitchen went above and beyond and had the found made for me. I swear it tasted amazing. Egyptian cuisine and it was super. Thank you so so much .. Had fun
Amidst apparent chaotic urbanity of second biggest City of Egypt, Alexandria, the historical mini-castle and now hotel allowed for tranquility and inspiring beauty from the very moment entering the reception/ lounge and all the way up to the roof terrace with a relaxing view and restaurant.
Great 5* hotel within 5 seconds walk from the beach of Alexandria!!

there is absolutely nothing I liked about this HOLE this is the worst hotel out of 22 hotel that I have been to in Egypt in the last two months this is a nightmare this place should be shut down filthy dirty , horrible staff inconvenient I can go on and on and on.
It’s a grand old building, all original, with spectacular views of the sea.
The staff- typical Egyptian kindness, hospitality and friendliness. Hamdi was very helpful.
