The location is very remote - as long as that's what you want, then the hotel would be absolutely perfect. Beautiful hotel, wonderful pool, 3 minute walk to the beach/house reef, and an excellent dive centre on site. It was very quiet when we went (early April) with only about 50 other guests. The staff were excellent - both in the hotel and at the dive centre, Emperor Divers. The food - overall - was good but see below! We would visit again - now we know what to expect (see below).

My stay at Blue Vision Diving Hotel was such a great experience!
The room was clean and comfortable but the owner, Mohammed, really went above and beyond.
He helped me book a trip to Sataya Reef or Dolphin House so I could swim with dolphins in the middle of the Red Sea. This was one of the coolest experiences ever!
We also went diving at a nearby beach and saw stingrays, a sea turtle and tons of fish and coral.
Mohammed helped arrange a massage and baked me a cake for my birthday! He even called to confirm my ride was going to pick me up so I wouldn't miss my flight from Hurghada (an airport that is three hours away).
Thank you Mohammed and Blue Vision Diving Hotel for the best time in Marsa Alam! I will be back!

My wife and I had an amazing time. Clean, quiet, great food, amazing snorkelling just off the jetty. All the personal have a smile on their face and attentive to our every need. Gréât pool with a slide too.We also did 2 snorkelling outings with the on site diving Center. It was amazing to see about 30 dolphins at Sha’ab Samadai, Sanctuary. One of the dolphins did a serie of jumps and saw a baby feeding on mummy while under water. Great 4G cellular phone signal on the beach and jetty

my ultimate happiness.
my ultimate happiness. I can stay there forever. all the quietness on earth is there. it is a very calm city for those who are looking for that. people are so friendly and respectful. it is the ideal place to connect with nature. Abudabbab beach is the best place there to swim, relax, and snorkeling. Porto Ghalib also is a very good place to eat clean and good food with almost daily entertainment shows and performances.

Masa Alam is a hot, dry and dusty town on the edge of the red sea. There is nothing there for tourists. I'm sure there is a restaurant somewhere. I stayed at my hotel and ordered food to be delivered. The only reason i was there was because thats where the scuba dive boat leaves from. Since then i found out the dive boat operator will pick you up pretty much anywhere, even Hurgada. See if you can find a place in Hurgada and have the boat operator pick you up there, or take a private taxi to Masa Alam.

While far away from Hurghada, the main airport, about 4.5 hours drive, the coast around Marsa Alam is clearly wilder here with with much more sea life than further north, so definitely worth it for a more 'water safari' experience.
For transfers, I recommend 123 Taxi & Tours Hurghada, a top taxi company with great prices, where you can arrange everything by WhatsApp before you travel https://www.123taxihrg.com/

Greatest place in Egypt for snorkeling/diving in my opinion.
Greatest place in Egypt for snorkeling/diving in my opinion. Very quiet city, and most resorts are actually away from the city so don't expect anything outside of your resort (check your distance). Most resorts provide what you'd need anyway. Perfect for people looking to relax or looking for boat trips. Tough to get to but worth the ride.

This Hotel is super nice, the food is excellent, the staff is very friendly and the environment is just beautiful.
Ahmed at the restaurant is extremely friendly and such a nice guy. He's really interested in you as a person and gives you the feeling of not being a tourist, but being a guest at his home.
Ahmed at the reception is a cool guy and pays attention. He takes care of everything, your room, your trips, your transfers. So you can focus on enjoying and relaxing this amazing hotel.
Thanks to Mohab and his crew, we were able to spend 2 fun days in Marsa Alam. He was very helpful, whether it is for recommanding places, most of the time beaches, to go to or for finding us taxis. The hotel very much felt like our own house since we were very well welcomed and taken care of. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone who would like to visit Marsa Alam and its surroundings !
A big thanks to Mohab again 😁😁
Highlights:
- beautiful reef: just 5 minutes away from the lodge. Here you can find: eagle spotted stingray, blue-spotted sting ray, turtles, moray eels, barracudas, and all the colorful fish from the Red Sea.
- service: the staff was really kind and professional. Ahmed (admin) made sure we had everything we needed.
- food: high variety of high quality Egyptian food
- tour offers: all the excursions were well organized.
I really enjoyed my stay over there. The hotel is very comfortable. It is really quite, decent & clean. The team is very professional, helpful, flexible & friendly, starting by Mr.Atef (Hotel GM), Amr & Mahmoud (Restaurant team), Mahmoud, Youssef & Abdo (Pool Restaurant) and special thanks to the chief Mohamed Mostafa for the delicious food. Highly recommended. I’ll go there again & again.
The property is huge and brand new so everything is very well maintained and gives you alot of options. The pools were heated properly and we really enjoyed swimming in January. The staff are more than friendly and always looking to make your stay comfortable. Mr. Haytham from the hotel was very generous and upgraded our rooms to royal family suite. We are a family with two kids.
The owner, his wife, kids and the cook are nothing short of amazing. They really went above and beyond. The property was spotless, the food was incredible and the overall hospitality was simply the best in Egypt! When I said I’d be back, the owner replied with “you are always welcome, this is your home”. And they really do treat you like family.♥️
We both like the architecture of the hotel, the well kept garden and the easy-going atmosphere around pools. We are swimming lovers and the Coral reef was great on both sides.. We could easily go every day out of the bay watched Area without problems. We also appreciated the daily variety of the fish in the buffets.
The hotel vibe was actually comforting and relaxing, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The whole staff were friendly and welcoming, Mr. Mohamed Kamal, F&B manager personally made sure we have a quality time and receiving the best hospitality. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the place.

Mr. Mohamed is one of the kindest persons I have met in Egypt. He helped us a lot before and throughout our stay. If you are staying in his hotel, feel free to let him know what you need and he would do his best to help you!
I liked that it was quiet, I had the diving centre in the hotel, so I booked all my trips with them and I also appreciated that the village (Marsa Alam is just a village) is safe and allowed me to see the life of locals.
The bay was beautiful, we saw many turtles and dugongs. The Beach Boys were very kind especially Oscar Horus🤩
The hotel is very good and clean … breakfast was little bit poor!
