Boutique hotel on 2nd floor of building, only 1 flight of stairs to climb. Nice continental breakfast. Separate shower in bathroom. Our room had a terrace, it just needed some chairs. Wonderful view from the upstairs terrace where you can enjoy something from the onsite restaurant. Great location, only a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Less busy than the East side of Luxor which is a 10 minute public ferry ride away. Large assortment of local restaurants that cater to expats (fish and chips anyone?). Expect a daily government mandated 1-2 hour power outage. Close to Valley of the Kings AND Valley of the Queens.

Hotel is one floor of the building. Small and cozy with large rooms. Very helpful staff. Wonderful view from rooftop terrace and lunch options at rooftop restaurant. Excellent air conditioning. Location: right off the public ferry dock. Near small stores, pharmacy etc. It’s Egypt don’t expect an immaculate and all new building for this bargain price.

This place is amazing the owner speaks perfect English is super helpful and can take care of all your tour requirements at very very lowest prices . He helped us so much with everything and is a genuinely nice guy. The large rooms are fantastic with 2 or 3 beds balcony breakfast include and the convenience of rooftop buffet. And very cheap laundry.

Our stay at the Nile Roof Hotel & Restaurant was so nice! Hassan was such a friendly host, and not only welcomed us in, but had us really feeling at home with his openness and humor. The breakfast was nice, the view of the Nile was so pretty and the neighborhood was perfect for the traveler who wants local eats and close proximity to the temples. Not only did Hassan answer all our questions and set up some tours for us, but he also set up a tour for our friend who wasn’t even staying at the hostel (for a better price than the one I’d found myself 😅). I’ve been to some places where they say ‘feel at home’ and then don’t really mean it. It was not the case here… I really did feel so welcomed, and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Luxor.

The outside might look a bit shabby but the rooms are beautiful and the owner/manager is a very nice and helpful person. The rooftop restaurant is very nice and offers a great view as well. They have fast and immediate room service.

Good location close to the ferry terminal and excellent views from the roof top restaurant. We were treated like VIPs, Mdouh came to pick us up from the bus station when we arrived and then took us all the way to the airport when we were leaving. He also offered good value excursions and was responsive when help was needed. We had a large room with 5 beds for only 2 of us, which helped me choose the best pillow. Overall good budget hotel.
