The hotel was in a great location by the inlet and close to the sea. The promenade went by the hotel and was great for a walk in the morning and afternoon. There was a local shop just round the corner which was very useful and had very friendly and helpful staff. There were local bars and restaurants just a short walk away. The town itself was a 25 minute walk away. The facilities of the hotel were excellent, breakfast was particularly good. We loved Ciutadella. It's a beautiful historic town, full of elegant buildings, outdoor cafes and restaurants, nice shops, easy to get around. It has an interesting culture, and an authentic, lively atmosphere. We visited Ciutadella in an off season, which meant a calm city with little amount of tourists. Since it was still winter season many restaurants were not open unfortunately and the water temperature was a bit cold. Ciutadella is a good option for anyone wanting a quiet and easy holiday. Admittedly there isn't a lot to do here but swim and eat, but that's what makes it the perfect place to just switch off and rest. Getting to the famous beaches is so easy, there are buses available from the town square that are designated to each beach and have no other stops - I highly recommend pre-booking your return trip though as the buses can only seat like 30 people. We were upgraded to a much larger room which was so lovely. The hotel is in the best location in Ciutadella, so central and next to the best restaurant in town. El hogar de pollo, it’s a local spot with the best zamburrinas and pulpo in all of Menorca. The lady who runs Calma kindly took our washing and brought it back all clean and folded. The aircon was great after a long day in the sun!

The hotel is tastefully decorated, the room are large and contain all amenities. The staff is very attentive and thoughtful , it was our 5 wedding anniversary and they offered us a bottle of cava :). The breakfast is wonderful; lots of choices ( healthy ones as well ) and delicious. We can only recommend the place !
