The old town is very quaint with plenty of places to eat out...
The old town is very quaint with plenty of places to eat out, shop, or have a drink. Take a walk through the old, stone streets and corridors, visit the church, and don't miss the cemetery and adjacent overlook. There is also plenty of free, on-street parking. There is plenty to see and do in the area - hiking, mountain biking, etc - but the true gem is the lake/reservoir. It is clean beyond any other body of water I have seen in all of Catalonia - since most rivers and lakes are polluted beyond repair and the water levels are so low due to the extensive and destructive nature of pig farming in the region. (I no longer contribute to this destructiveness by not consuming any animal-derived foods or animal products of any kind.) So if you go to Sant Llorenc Morunys - go to the lake, rent a kayak, and spend at least half a day exploring the lake and its coves, beaches, flora and fauna - the farther out you go, the prettier it gets. Try some local, artisanal beers while you're there.DanielSpain

The owners were welcoming and so generous with their care. Many thanks for taking care of me and my son!!! The food provided in the restaurant is locally sourced and simply delicious! We went snowboarding in Port del Comte in the morning and had a delicious breakfast waiting for us at 8am. The drive to the ski resort is scenic and quick. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Monegal! Thank you!!
