The Monjas del Carmen is in a pedestrian street in central Granada, next to Plaza Nueva and the Moorish Albayzín Quarter. All soundproofed rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV and a laptop safe.
Score from 911 reviews Excellent
1. Room different from the description of the one we booked: no balcony and no brighteness inside, just one small window on a dark backyard. 2. Poor Breakfast in a ugly café near the hotel
Front desk very helpful, shared some great tips on Granada
The room and especially the bathroom have been restructured, only the furniture was not very new.
The bed & the location of the hotel.
Clients need to be made aware of the difficulty driving into the city center. Advise...such as parking close to the river genil then walking directions.
Room lay out was nice though shower only suitable for slim people ( very narrow) Staff quite brusque .
Noise in street outside all night . It is a city centre hotel and we stayed in another hotel around the corner that was sound proofed. Cafeteria very poor .
Very well located, clean, good internet connection.
The room smelled damp, I guess it hasn't been used in a while.
Pilar the receptionist is really charming and so helpful. It's the second time I have stayed here and I'll come again. The location is really excellent and the car parking is easy and reasonably priced. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms well done. This Hotel is a gem.
the lady at the reception has been very much helpfull and friendly.
otopark is really a problem.ofcourse I know itis due to the central location of the hotel but anyhow a lower price otoparking could be arranged.
I've stayed in this hotel twice now & would go back again. It's very central, very clean & the staff are excellent. The receptionist even printed off our flight boarding passes for us for free!! They also park your car for you & it only costs €15 per day.
We has a room that was facing onto the main street where the hotel was located. As a result, it was a bit noisy at night time & early morning when the streets were being cleaned.
Good loacation, helpful staff.
The fact that they will park your car and pick up your luggage on arrival and bring it back to you on checking out. The room was very comfortable and beds just amazing...
Would have liked a nicer restaurant/cafe attached, but plenty close by to counteract this.
Great location and friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room and nice modern bathroom.
A lot of hairs on the sheets.
Great location ,helpful staff
Staff was very helpful, especially for parking. Location is great, very close to everywhere you would like to visit in Granada.
The room was a little bit smal but this is something happens most of the time when you book via Booking.com.
Location, facilities, cleanliness, cozy patio on the first floor
Restaurant - only ordered coffee there once, but did not seem like a very nice place- much better find some cafés it restaurants nearby for your breakfast, tapas, dinners or coffee
Centrally located Friendly staff
Noisy - you could feel the doors shake when someone in the adjacent room opened/closed their doors Too much like a hostel - thought it would be a nicer hotel based on the reviews
small, modest hotel, but well , with attentive staffmaintained and pleaseant
no soap holder in the shower!
The location is great for having easy access to the whole city. It is a wonderful value if you are looking for comfortable accommodations with Euros to spare for tapas and enjoying the sights. I traveled with a small dog and they were very welcoming.
It's a bit noisy which was fine for me. I enjoy hearing the sounds if the city.
Comfortable rooms, clean and excellent location.
Tha staff should care about behavior of pets form other visitors. It is OK to allow pets in the hotel, but it's not that good if barking dogs wake you up several times during the night. I think its the staff's duty to warn visitors with pets about this and act in consecuence if that happens.
Location was perfect for sightseeing, wifi was good, rooms are clean and modern and they even give you a toothbrush and shower cap!
Since the location was in the heart of it all, our room faced the street so it was a bit noisy.
Handy location Well-equipped rooms
Rooms are modern and of good size. The staff is really helpful, always with a smile. Also, the hotel is perfectly located in the city centre, surrounded by shops and the airport bus stop.
Location, the size if the room, value for money
Lack of the fridge and the street was sometimes too noisy during the night, but that is the price of the central location.
Well, the hotel has a wonderful position. You can reach almost everything in few minutes. if you like "trekking" it's about 15/20 minutes walks from Alhambra (depending on the entry), 5 minutes from the cathedral and Albaicin. The staff is nice and kind. The breakfast area is indeed a separate cafè which was good in my case, because it resulted very good and not expensive. The rooms are right for the type of the hotel, clean and the wifi worked wonderfully with three devices at the same time.
Personally to me this was not a problem but beware that there is no elevator and that the parking is in a no traffic area (of course... you are basically 500 metres from the cathedral...) . That means that if come with a car you need to have explanations from the staff, they have a particular path for the tourists. Remember to discuss this with the hotel because I believe they need to share with the city council the plates of the cars in order you don't get a fine (in Granada there are cameras to avoid people getting in the city center). The staff is extremely gentle, follow the instructions of the hotel not the navigator :)
very good location. kind and helpful staff.
