Mijas is amazingly beautiful. We have been visiting for 9 years and it's perfect for us. It can get busy during the day as many tourists come up on the bus from the coast to enjoy the views and it's many restaurants and bars.
There is flamenco dancing in the square and donkeys take take you around the village.
Absolutely love this place.

Mijas pueblo was surprisingly cold, windy and cloudy, yet 20 mins drive south on the coast, it was warm, sunny and tropical.
The town architecture itself is lovely but full of tourists, souvenir shops, tacky outlets and Brits singing karaoke to English songs with loud speakers- a complete denial of where they were - reminiscent of what you might expect in Blackpool or Disney version of Spain. Not really our cup of tea, so we walked around for a bit and left.

Amazing place to stay. Could not fault the place. Stunning views, great location. Private parking within the property. So peaceful and quiet. Comfy beds, tv with English channels, good shower. We had our own little balcony to sit and enjoy the stunning views towards the sea. Owners amazing and friendly - nothing too much trouble. Excellent Wi-Fi.

I recommend Mijas but with certain reservations.
I recommend Mijas but with certain reservations. I remember the town from 50 years ago so maybe I'm biased. It has managed to keep a certain amount of charm but in a way has grown too large for its own good. In my opinion there are too many souvenir shops and too many below standard restaurants/ bars. I had the feeling that I was a commodity - certainly not everywhere but enough too blunt the pleasure. The farmhouses that were onced dotted through the hills have been replaced by an urban sprawl & even the odd gated community. A pity - I leave with very mixed feelings
We stayed at La Zambar for 3 nights and there are no words to describe our amazing staying there. It started before we arrived when I reached the hotel by email and requested their help with my planning to ask my girlfriend to marry me. Manuel, from LA Zambar stuff, helped me and made sure that the proposal will be unforgettable. And so it was.
EVERYTHING was AMAZING - the room, food, pool, and of course the view! saying that we were just speechless about the stuff and service.
It is a small appartment on ground floor, with one bedroom (the only room with a/c) and one bedroom that does not have a real window but looks out on the laundry space. A car is needed to get around, but the parking is private and gated. The location is convenient for visiting the beaches, the cities and Mijas Pueblo. The swimming pool is deep and big enough, the garden is well maintained. The view on the garden and pool is nice. The host was very attentive.
The location was excellent as it was at the heart of Mijas pueblo, we were able to walk around the village without transport and the local bus stop was a 5 minutes walk from the hotel if we wished to explore further afield such as Fuengirola or Torremolinos for a few hours which we did and thought was excellent.
Breakfast was delicious and healthy, it was enough to keep you going until lunch time as the portions were generous!
Sharon was the perfect host - a quick explanation of everything and contactable but left us to it. The house itself is lovely and there are so many little touches everywhere that really add to the charm. The location is unbeatable in our opinion, right in the heart of nature but close (by car) to Mijas pueblo and Fuengirola. We met Kevin at the end of our stay who was very friendly too.
Mijas Residence is a beautiful villa that has been split into 6 apartments with the owners living on site. We loved the facilities and the decor and the owners Deborah and Bas went out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous holiday. We were in no6 with a patio and 2 beautiful terraces. Very roomy for 3 adults. We also loved the honesty bar and Deborah's fabulous breakfasts.
The most beautiful place in Málaga. The owner is so nice, generous and welcoming! Every detail is exquisite! It has been one of the most amazing places and trips we have ever had! The staff is also worth to mention, always with a smile and taking care of us all the time. The breakfast was delicious too! We are thinking on our next trip to Málaga already!
Apartment was super clean and comfortable situated in a tranquil area within a few minutes walk from the beach. The rooftop terrace and the large balcony were amazing providing sun or shade anytime!
It is only a short walk to to the Senda Litoral(boardwalk) that runs to Cala de Mijas which we loved to stroll along.
Very good location in mijas golf for a mix of work and leisure. Hotel staff were very helpful. Having the spa pool and sauna facilities available was very nice. There was a great view from the balcony and the small included a dishwasher and worked well for us.
location perfect for mijas pueblo. no view from the room but the price reflected this and easy to walk out to see the sea view. super clean and lovely host. kettle, cutlery etc and fridge are all available. if there are tea bags or coffee would be brilliant.
What a fabulously clean and modern apartment in the cutest town, Pueblo Mijas. I enjoyed cooking in the versatile kitchen. The decor throughout was impeccable, even in the hallways, and the sun roof was a nice bonus. We would definitely come back!
Such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Great location with lovely water views. Mijas Pueblo is not even a 5 min ride away and has a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The owners, Bas and Deborah were very friendly and helpful.
The location is fantastic, such an easy walk to everything at Mijas. We would stay here again, it was clean and bright with excellent air conditioning. The outside area at our apartment was lovely and the pool area was fabulous too
Location good easy drive to Mijas and Coast. Entrance and public rooms good quality. Swimming pool large and good for swimming lengths. Towels with sunbeds. Bed comfortable food good choice.
The staff were great, the room was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool and bar. The hotel offers some great views of the Costa Del Sol and is close to the centre of Mijas Pueblo.
Ideal location super value and excellent all round close to centre of Mijas pueblo !!
See Margarita as she will look after you so well recommended and will use again !!
