Gar-Anat Hotel is a small and unique hotel from the 17th century, set in the historic city centre. Skillfully restored, it retains most of its original architectural features.

Welcoming and delightful staff, courtyard and breakfast. Nice sitting chairs and lighting in bedroom. Bathroom nice. Location is great for walking and exploring the city.
Main floor room not soundproofed. Could hear occasional talking in reception/courtyard and upstairs walking and toilet. Parking is really not offered. We left our car far away from hotel. Cars in city center strictly limited.
location, right in a restaurant street, close to everything Beautiful hotel, very clean, bathroom excellent
little street noise (we were on the first floor)
The location was close to the town center and restaurants. The free breakfast was good.
The lobby smelled like it was just outside a washroom without an extraction fan. The rooms smelled like they just sprayed it with a cheap industrial deodorizer. It didn't make for pleasant stay. Cannot understand how a high rating was achieved...
Temp in room was hard to regulate, breakfast was disappointing and the rooms were noisy (somewhat expected in the middle of the city).
Really nice hotel, very good staff.
The breakfast is really simple, no hot dishes, even an egg. It is a little bit pricy.
Everything. Location, staff, decor,
The lack of a choice of a cooked breakfast.
The location the feeling of the place the bathroom and the very beautiful room. Nice breakfast too
2 single beds instead of one double bed didn't make it for us...
Great location for tapas bars and other restaurants. Short taxi to Alhambra. Very helpful staff.
Great location, comfortable and superb breakfast.
A bit hot in the hotel.
Location was reasonably central.
We stayed 2 nights towards end of November. This was the Spanish winter so the Air Con blew only hot air - room was too warm. Unfortunately our room faced onto Calle St Matias. This was appallingly noisy from 06.00-01.00h with traffic. Many polluting 2 stroke very noisy motor scooters forcing us to keep windows closed. Hotel overpriced for it's quality.
The helpful staff and comfortable rooms
We didn't stay longer
Breakfast room rather too small for all the guests.
Good atmosphere and ambience. Staff were friendly and approachable
Coffee machine in breakfast room
Extremely nice staff. Excellent location Nice lobby with tea in the late afternoon and a cozy place to sit Nice bathroom and toiletries
Rather small, tight room, not as nice as I expected
The hotel is exactly what we were looking for! Close to everything. Very helpful staff and the building was beautiful.
Location was great in the centre of town bit still our room was extremely quiet clean and cozy. Staff were helpful and friendly
Nothing not too like but parking is a little tricky. Make sure you book a space
The staff from the outset we're welcoming and extremely helpful in arranging a tour of the Alhambra with an English speaking guide, recommending an excellent restaurant. Many extras added to our comfort.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tasteful decor.
View of vacant site but at least it was quiet.
The front office took the initiative to alert me to the ticket situation at the Alhambra a week before my trip. They had run out! And then helped me to book a visit with a tour....which got me in to the palace. Thank goodness for that!
Very nice staff at breakfast and very kind cleaning ladies. Good mattress. Good breakfast. Clean.
First of all, there is a very unpleasant and heady smell of cleaning products floating all over the place. I coudn't get over it. Made me feel nauseous. Secondly, and I didn't realise while booking, the place is situated right in the middle of tabas bar streets, which means a LOT of noise during the night. Especially week-ends of course. I had room number 10 the first night, which is on the first floor, giving on the noisiest street, and impossible to sleep. I close all the windows: the heady smell is way too strong, I open the windows: I'm like sleeping IN the street and the street light bulb is right in front of the window, so full light in the room. Next day I change room, number 14, on the other side of the building, a bit better speaking of the noise, smell still there, but at least I could open the windows. Thirdly, no comforter (or maybe I didn't find it), just blankets for sleeping. It's a bit cheap and in October, it can get chilly at night. I'm not used to be negative about a place, but that's the way it was for me.
Spacious room, accomodating staff, great buffet breakfast. About a 20 min walk from Alhambra.
A little difficult to access, but then again, Granada is not car-friendly, so not the hotel's fault!
The location is excellent and the hotel is very nice the service is great
the quality of the bed is horrible, the hotel must change the bed since affects directly to the quality of the sleep
A charming hotel in a good location, with lots of cafes and bars nearby. The staff were extremely helpful with directions and recommendations. Comfy bed, lovely clean room and bathroom. The Alhambra can be reached on foot in around 20 mins, all uphill of course but ok if you are reasonably fit. The airport bus stops 5 mins away, and a taxi cost 8 euros from the station. We had a problem with wifi at first, but this was rectified and it was available in our room and the courtyard. Breakfast pretty good. If you want to visit the Moorish baths, book in advance as we were disappointed in not being able to visit.
We did experience a little noise from both the street and the inner courtyard with people returning to their rooms, Granada is a lively place!
