Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town with a beautiful view. The room was spacious and very cozy, with a very nice garden/terrace. Rojelio was very nice and welcoming, and with a lot of knowledge about history. He gave us a lot of interesting and useful information about the area and places to visit. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Rogelio, at the front desk was so welcoming. we are walking the Camino Del Norte and this spot was such a nice respite. We even walked down to the beach after a long day of hiking. it’s a little off the trail but so worth the extra walk.

This is a beyond-magnificent hotel with a superb host, greatly needed after a long day’s walk on the camino. When we arrived, Rogelio opened the main door and warmly welcomed us inside. After getting us checked in, he walked us to our room and showed us the room’s amenities. The rooms were beautiful. Later we ate dinner in the indoor restaurant which had an open feel with its large windows to the coastal view outside. The restaurant atmosphere was very relaxing with calming, ambient music. The next morning we had breakfast in the same restaurant before checking out and continuing our journey on the camino with Rogelio’s kind guidance. This is the only hotel in my life where we wish we could have stayed and never left, but the camino calls and we must go… Thank you Rogelio and the staff of Hotel Rural Playa de Aguilar, we hope to return again.

The owner was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was big and tidy with two showers and lots of storage. The food was really fantastic though - we even had a off-menu request that the chef made that was GREAT. Still dreaming about the apple tarte!

From the start, we were made to feel special. Rogelio alone was worthy of 11 out of 10. An absolute superstar and a huge asset to this hotel. Give this man a pay rise!!! He was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable about the Camino and very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. A large bath with jacuzzi and high ceilings. For the first time during our Camino, we didn’t want to leave and were hard-pressed to do so. We regretted not staying for two nights. The food during dinner and breakfast was very high quality. The atmosphere and ambience was exactly what was needed after a day of walking. Could not be happier and would return in a heartbeat.
