Breakfast is wonderful !
Very cousy hotel Flowers in the room Soap cubes Decent breakfast
Blanket was too thick and warm
With excellent location yet quiet place, an old fashion family run hotel, antique design and very comfortable. The stuff were just amazing and very nice to talk to. If I would ever return to Turku, this is where I will stay again for sure.
The bathroom could use a bit of renovation
The Park Hotel is in a rather central position 10 minutes by foot off the train station. It is a villa-like building in a small park surrounding it. There are tables and chairs outside where you can have a drink if weather permits. Very nice! The surrounding of the hotel is quiet, so you can sleep with open window if you like. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The problem with the hotel is however that its interior is very old. Furniture is outdated, mattresses were worn out. The bathroom was tiny with old equipment. I could not even find a plug in the room to charge my cell phone. Breakfast was o.k., but no more. Another feature we did not like was that we could only book a non-refundable room even as early as December 2013, which does not allow a cancellation for the case of changing travel plans. This is a policy which I do not consider customer-friendly and which is very uncommon for booking.com hotels.
The staff were very helpful even arranging an early breakfast in order for us to eat before we caught an early morning ferry.
A little old fashioned but that was expected .
Good location in the city + availability of free parking on premises.
- very old fashion room decoration - bad breakfast (limited in choice and low quality of food items) - this is not a 4 stars hotel, is maximum a 3 stars and even so it needs major improvements. - no air conditioning and you could open only one window - the mattresses and the sheets on the bad were really not good - very slippery
Fantastic location Fantastic building Fantastic rooms Fantastic atmosphere Nice parrot
Breakfast no berries even in the middle of berry season Some of the breakfast items not so fresh... No complimentary sauna Poor WiFi
- The hotel has a very good style, which is a welcome change from the modern hotels. - Quiet surroundings, although close to the city centre. - A comfortable choice for city shopping.
- The furniture seemed rather worn. - The breakfasts were rather poor - to my view. - It is expected from a Finnish hotel to provide tea / coffee making amenities in the room. Which was not the case here, unfortunately.
Hotel full of character, walking distance to town Center, train and bus stations, nice and quiet next to a park, friendly staff
It got very hot in the bedroom
Nothing, apart the trees and garden.
Beds, the absence of windows and air conditioned, the bathroom, the kitch fourniture, the parrots in the tiny gage, the.
Wonderful surroundings, flowers, trees, tranquility in the heart of the city. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast which we enjoyed outside in the garden. The surrounding city is perfectly suited for bicycling.
The room was small, and the ventilation system did not work properly. This resulted in sticky warm air all night long despite an open window. We rented 2 bicycles from the hotel and felt that 20 Euros per bike per day was overpriced.
The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel's little quirks - including the parrot who lives in the reception - were mostly very charming. The location is perfect if you're arriving or leaving by train, and it's only a 5-minute walk from the centre of Turku.
The room decor was amazingly old-fashioned, a shrine to the late 1970s. The brown en-suite bathroom really sealed the look!
Friendly staff, nice parrot (Jaakko), good breakfast, beautiful building, fast wlan and free parking.
Some furniture were draughty. There was no air conditioning. The weather was really hot, but fortunately it was a possible to open a window.
Beautiful building with charm Spacious rooms Quiet yet central location Free and plenty parking
Somewhat overpriced Uninspiring breakfast buffet Hot rooms - no aircon
Excellent location (railway station within 5 to 7 min.,) big rooms, old-fashioned furniture, nice breakfasts, professional personal, good service
We have stayed for two days only, but would like to live therein at least a week to enjoy more hospitality of the Park Hotel personal and Turku sightseeings
Really nice hotel with perfect location. Great breakfast. Free parking.
charming, funky. very comfortable. nice breakfast. perfect english (as all of finland seems to be. easy stroll to sights of Turku. no brainer. would definately return.
Very romantic Hotel to have special time with our loved one.
Breakfast was a little bit poor.
cosy rooms, bathroom a little eighties, kind service
It was really nice to stay at a unique hotel with lots of personality. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very friendly. I definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
The rooms and hotel were quite hot (in cold weather). The wi-fi didn't work in my room most of the time. I think tnis might depend on the room so if really important to you, it might be a good idea to mention this when booking.
Family like atmosphere, staff very helpful and flexible (they arranged a one night extension for us at the same price even though they were full, thanks !)
mattress were too soft and bed linen was slipping while sleeping
I think this may be the loveliest hotel I've stayed in. Beautiful, quiet room, lovely garden, personal service. And a parrot!
Great atmosphere. Forget the hotel chains and get something more personal in Hotel Park!
Whole style of the hotel, very central european, old fashioned. Down pillows, a rarity in Finland nowadays.
Would have preferred natural yoghourt over sweet variations at breakfast. Moldy smell in the bathroom even if the window could be kept open all night.
Nothing--the place is a dirty dump
Just about everything--they put us in what was billed as a junior suite--it was more like a converted attic
