Not much to say here—very basic no frills spot for a short stay. The area is sort of a "new industrial" city feel, without restaurants or anything to do nearby. Train station is close though as the walk into the center is about 45 minutes. Staff was friendly.

Raise your wine glass and toast the beautiful city of Bordeaux on the banks of the Garonne River. Having produced wine since the 8th century, it’s fair to say the second largest wine producer in the world is worth the trip for the vin alone. The city itself has spread outwards, rather than upwards, and the result is a very pretty town center, filled with stone mansions and terraced housing comparable to Paris.
Cultured Bordeaux is filled with museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and Musee D'Aquitaine. The streets provide an equally interesting exhibition of fine architecture including the Victory Arch and the Aquitaine Bridge. On the shores of the river lies the Les Chartrons district, which is a blend of ferry boat rides, picturesque views and buzzing nightlife while the bars and cafes in the La Victoire district are frequented by students.
A tour of the famous vineyards is probably on the itinerary and this can be accomplished by visiting the wineries and châteaux privately or as part of a tour. You can also worship the wine gods at the Bordeaux Wine Festival held during the summer.
Visitors can easily make the short trip to the heart of Bordeaux from the Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. With 70 hotels and bed & breakfasts available, Booking.com allows you to discover the vibrant and friendly heart of the vineyard region.
This city is a gourmet's delight. The wine museum is definitely worth a visit (allow 3 to 4 hours, there's more in there than you would think). Public transport is excellent with frequent trams to all the places of interest.

We stayed in the heart of the city and there is so much to explore. Round every corner there seemed to be yet another square or narrow street, lined with cafes and restaurants. A visit to an art gallery was worthwhile. Good transport from the airport and around the city via trams. We didn't plan to do very much apart from wander around, explore and eat out. Deux Pieces Cuisine restaurant was very good. Worked perfectly for us although there are many more things you could do: take wine, food and city tours. Watch out for the crazy traffic / cycle / e-scooters. Green crossing signs don't always mean it's safe to cross! Never saw and accident but if you don't know how it works then it could be tricky. Everyone seemed very relaxed though, not a high pressure, stressy city.

A fascinating city packed with interesting places to see.
A fascinating city packed with interesting places to see. A wonderful place for immersing in rich cultural and architectural history as well as for experiencing vibrant shopping areas, and many enticing restaurants and bars that burst out into a colourful and dynamic city street life. Wine of course is a key ingredient and the local beers too deserve an honourable mention. The tram service is a fantastic asset for the city - it is convenient, efficient and so simple to use

Beautiful city, steeped in culture, art, and great architecture. Felt very welcome there in all places. Magnificent public transport options, especially the tram which can bring you all around the city and provides an excellent link between City and Airport. Apart from its rich wine history and culture, there are so many other great reasons to visit Bordeaux and I highly recommend a visit to this must-see European city!

A great city for a holiday.
A great city for a holiday. Lots to see but all very accessible. Public transport is great and easy to use. A great selection of restaurants and cafes. Many beautiful and historic sites. Would have loved to stay longer.
We adored our stay at LOLA Boutique hotel. The location was perfect- stunningly beautiful views of the cathedral, surrounded by cute cafes and restaurants, a short walk to the water and downtown and close to public transportation. The room itself was spacious and tastefully decorated, as was the rest of the hotel. The staff was so lovely and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We had such a wonderful time, we almost extended our stay! If you are in Bordeaux, LOLA is the place to stay.
An excellent place to stay in walking distance of the city centre. Nice clean and comfortable rooms. A lovely lounge area with drinks available. The breakfast was very good, the croissants and granola in particular were delicious.
The owner Guillaume and his staff (I’m sorry I’ve forgotten the names) were very friendly and welcoming and provided some great info and tips on where to visit and eat.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, thank you!
Villas Foch is a fabulous boutique hotel in a great location...quiet, yet close to everything in Bordeaux. We walked to town, to the river and to Cite du Vin. Very accommodating staff and excellent service. The bar was well appointed and comfortable for our nightcaps. Breakfast was tremendous, but there are cafe's next door if it's just for coffee. Great base for exploring all the wineries of Bordeaux. Highly recommended
I had a wonderful stay here. I had a long flight and slept in past check out and the staff was so generous and understanding. They had a very comfortable room and bed (hence the sleeping in!) and a great area to work and have a coffee in the lobby and they filled up my water bottle upon request. I tried to change my booking at another hotel for my way back through Bordeaux but they were booked. Highly recommend this hotel!
Great location, walking distance to every part of city centre. Very comfortable accommodation - one bed apartment. Kitchen very useful for breakfast and supermarket nearby. Apartment was on 5th floor, no noise and we slept very well, staff are very kind and helpful. Decor perhaps is a little bland in apartment but otherwise it was perfect. I would strongly recommend this aparthotel as an ideal base in beautiful Bordeaux.
The location is outside the City Center. It’s about a 3 euro tram ride to the centre and takes about eight or nine minutes which could easily walk if you don’t mind doing that. We return to Bordeaux week later and we decide to spend the extra 15 euro a night and found a spot located in the old quarter. It wasn’t quite as nice a hotel with the trade-off giving us a better location was worth it.
Seeko’o is an amazing hotel for anyone visiting Bordeaux. It is nice, modern, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is very good. Located a very short walk from the Cite du Vin and just steps away from the tram station that will take you to the city center (another option is a pleasant walk).
I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again during my next visit to Bordeaux!
the location of the hotel is good, there is a tram station right out the hotel. very near to city center close to wine museum in Bordeaux. staff are very friendly there, we arrived earlier than check in time but they allowed us to go into our room earlier so we don’t have to carry our luggage around the city. breakfast was beautiful, with lots of options and bio foods.
The Boutique Hotel offers a great balance of elegant and modern rooms. With only six rooms the boutique hotel offers great privacy! I can recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for a fancy and comfortable stay in the middle of Bordeaux. The best part of the hotel is the roof top terrace with a beautiful breakfast when the sun is shining.
The hotel is very nice and in good location. The staff is great - Brahim and Perrine are very professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, modern and clean although small but this is quite normal in France. Tea and expresso coffe available in the rooms, so good!
Excellent cost-benefit in Bordeaux and would stay there again!
Wonderful airport shuttle. Location is so convenient to CDG. The hotel has a lively lounge and outside space enjoyed by many. The hotel is about 500m from lovely restaurants in Roissy en France and also a park. The room is small and the hotel is under the flight path but this is expected at an airport hotel. Efficient and affordable.
Funky hotel. Young, laid back, modern, graffiti style. Location is in a newly built hotel area on the port, next to the City du Vin (slightly off city centre). Small, but comfortable rooms. Comfortable bed. Ok breakfast. Eventually fun atmosphere.
Parking is round the corner (15 EUR / day is actually cheap for Bordeaux).
- Straightforward to find for our overnight stop from
Spain to ferry crossing in France.
- secure car park
- Carrefour 2 minutes walk
- has a cafe in hotel for light meals and drinks
- park nearby to walk the dogs
- quite convenient to walk to bars and restaurants
Good value for the price. Professional and friendly staff. The hotel is actually pet-friendly (even their website might be confusing about it). Very nice and relaxing experience after booking other very bad four-star hotel in Bordeaux for the previous night.
As many have said before, this hotel would be nothing without its incredible staff. I’ve yet to stay in a hotel in France with better staff. They are incredible. The music at night is superb. It’s funky with a great vibe.
The Breakfast was the best we had in 10 days in France. Lucy, Clothilde & Antoinne all make us feel right at home, made lots of great local recommendations and generally went above and beyond to make our stay great.
Charming character house with very safe parking and a wonderful hostess. We felt that we were experiencing traditional France. Flat cycle ride to the chaotic centre of Bordeaux.
