We loved it and our kids loved it as well! From the moment we arrived at Chateau Murviel, it was clear we had stumbled upon a gem that beautifully marries history with modern comfort. Nestled atop a hill, the chateau offers breathtaking views that promise to enchant every visitor. The location alone is worth the stay, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life while inviting exploration and appreciation of the surrounding beauty. We had amazing breakfast and conversation with hosts about their and ours travels. Amazing family. Highly recommend. Please be careful when driving - don't get stuck on GPS route - there's a better route with arrows - still narrow, but easier. What truly sets Chateau Murviel apart, however, is the condition of its facilities. It's apparent that great care is taken to maintain the property's integrity, ensuring everything is in excellent working order without detracting from its historic allure. From the well-kept gardens that invite leisurely strolls to the pristine rooms that offer a haven of rest, the attention to detail is commendable. Our stay at Chateau Murviel was nothing short of magical. It provided a unique blend of historical richness and modern luxury, making it a perfect retreat for those looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and history of the region. Whether you're a history buff, a lover of nature, or simply in search of a peaceful getaway, this chateau promises an unforgettable experience. We left with our hearts full and our spirits lifted, already dreaming of our next visit.

Exceptional property and hosts; the chateau is charming, and we had access to several rooms including the salon, dining room, and breakfast room. The chateau is filled with works of art and is very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the remarkable period furnishings. Our petite dinner (a paid amenity) was wonderful as was the breakfast which was included in our stay.

Our stay at Chez les Amis was marvelous! We felt right at home, the people were so nice. We had a great time at dinner, it was not only delicious but also super fun! it was like a big family dinner. The rooms and the beds were very comfortable, quiet, and very cozy. I have to go back for a romantic getaway.

What a fantastic place. We diverted our cycle tour up the Orb valley to stop here and it was a great decision. A beautiful renovation with spacious, comfortable, and well designed room. Two bright windows, two nice chairs, a kettle, and nice view of the garden and church. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the conversation lively (even with my basic French) Easy bike storage too. Thanks Brigitte and Cyril!
Madam Jocelyne and her husband were fantastic. They really went the extra mile to ensure all our needs were met, from arrival right through to check out. The chateau itself is absolutely beautiful, pictures simply do not do it justice. We were in awe of how well the couple had restored it. The attention to detail and dedication to ensuring the chateau was sympathetically restored really was admirable. The chateau was also wonderfully decorated, with furniture and artefacts Madam Jocelyne had collected from around the world.
Upon arrival we were brought through to the dining area and immediately given cold drinks along with coffee and biscuits (we had just finished a few hours of travelling on a very hot day). I should also point out that the couple refused to allow us to pay for these extras and would not add it to our bill, which was so kind and hospitable of them.
Although the chateau was fully booked during our stay we were the only guests booked for breakfast, and were blown away by the wonderful spread that Madam Jocelyne and her husband put on just for us each morning. We were served fresh home made lemon cake, crepes, pastries, fruit, cold meats, large selection of cheeses, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice each day. We were also given exception pain perdu on our last morning, which was such a treat.
Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the beds were really comfortable. The aircon was also really appreciated in the height of July heat. Breakfast was served in the beautiful courtyard, and we were absolutely delighted to discover the chateau had an amazing play area for kids too. The area was stocked with so many toys that our kids couldn't believe their luck. For us, travelling with small kids, it was such a delight to have this area to occupy the kids on the hot afternoons when we had finished exploring Murviel-lès-Béziers or returned from the beach (Serignan).
Overall we loved our stay here, and will definitely return one day.
