The room's size and bathroom.
Cold room. Impossible to switch on the heater, there is not any control panel. TV remote control didn't work properly. Staff forgot a bottle of wine ordered before arriving and don't accept to leave a printed e-mail on the bed.
Staying at the Kyriad was an excellent base from which to see the city on foot. Nantes is an unexpected hidden treasure - charming and very 'pleasantly French'. Our party of four were only passing through on our way south but we all agreed we'd return. The Kyriad Hotel being a convenient and comfortable place to stay with nearby car parking near the station.
Welcoming staff. Comfortable clean bed. Well appointed bathroom Small refridgerator.
Stained and worn carpets in hallways. Lighting not properly synchronised in stairways.
The room was spacious and I liked the provided kettle in the room so I could make myself some hot drinks.
All was very good, nice to find a quiet place to rest in such a busy town
Would be good if you stay few days to get a good deal with car park around, can be a bit costly!
Across the road from the train station. Close to restaurants. Good breakfast.
Room very small.
This hotel is centrally located and easy to find being opposite the Gare Nord and despite its proximity to a major network hub is pleasantly quiet. The multi-lingual staff were very helpful and the rooms are warm and comfortable with access by lift or stairs.Breakfast, though extra, is an extensive buffet style so value is largely down to your capacity to eat. Whilst there is no car parking at the hotel itself, there is multi-storey car park on the opposite side of the road( access via underpass right outside the hotel) which is bookable online so your car is no more than a hundred metres from your room. All told this is a good place to stay giving value and comfort.
Cleanliness Reasonable size of room Variety and quantity of food for breakfast
No air-conditioning - just seemed to be air circulation (which was quite noisy the first night - didn't notice after that)
The proximity to the station was good and the staff were helpful.
The location: right across from the north exit of the Nantes train station, and near the botanic garden and the castle. The staff: very polite and helpful.
A quick search of the hotel room revealed no electrical outlets accessible to guests, beside the one for electric shaver. If there are outlets they are very well hidden. For those with electronics that needs charging (mobile phones or computers or cameras) this can be a deal-breaker. Also, one of the bath-towels was blood-stained. I understand that blood can be hard to wash out, but the staff folding the towels should have noticed that. While it is probably just an unfortunate oversight, it does create a bad image.
Within walking distance of Nantes rail station. Very clean.
Room is modern and clean, breakfast is a very well provided buffet.
Lift is a bit small to go with a buggy.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful with directions and getting transportation arranged for the airport.
Close to he SNCF station; the main sightseeing views are not far.
Wifi connection is a bit complicate.
Lack of parking
Comfortable and spacious bed, clean bathroom. All the comfort you need really. Good breakfast.
Maybe the breakfast is a little too expensive.
We each had a single bed, though the cot broke under the weight of our 11 year old son. The room was large for Europe, as well as the bathroom. Walking distance to the centre, the rail station and the castle.
Staff seemed disorganized and not the friendliest. The street on which it is located is not very nice (including a strip club!).
Friendly staff. Good position for rail travel, and city. Spacious room. Good cleanliness.
Lights too dim to read by.
Very accommodating staff
the Hotel's inability to turn the room air conditioning off. Parts of the hotel were in need of refurbishment
standard, basic good hotel to stay overnight. Great location if you need to travel by train.
Close to train station and all the sights
Very good for centre Nantes and train travel
Rooms air condition unit was noisy
Just opposite to the train station, very easy to get in. The stuff is helpful and the room is very clean.
Free wifi is actually a limited Orange wifi which is not very convenient to connect.
In front of Central Station!
We didn't have breakfast but in check out charged 40 euros for breakfast.I Requested refund by phone and email and was not answered.
The hotel is perfect for those travelling to Nantes by train, as it is within sight of the Gare Nord's arrival doors when you first step out into the city. A short walk takes you to both the Chateau and a beautiful botanical garden. The location really is ideal. I asked for a quiet room and received just that - it was spacious, comfortable, with a mini bar, free wi-fi, telephone, tv, kettle and tea/coffee facilities and the usual amenities. Staff were helpful at the desk and were able to assist with queries. The breakfast buffet was expensive by the quality was good.
The room was very hot, even during the night, and air conditioning could only be controlled at the desk, but this was only a very minor inconvenience.
