It really is a 'chambre d'hôtes", the hosts share their house and their hospitality with you. They are artists (an operasinger and a painter) and you sense that in everything. The rooms are superbly decorated and they give you their best china and cutlery to use at breakfast. Nice breakfast, served in their dining room. Nice swimmingpool, kept supertidy. The hostess only opens 2 rooms, so it is always very quiet. Best bed I ever slept in away from home, and at night it is absolutely quiet - nothing can be heard, no cars, no trains, no airplanes.

Located 12 mi from Chartres and set in a farmhouse from the 18th century, Chambres d'hôtes La Bergerie de l'Aqueduc offers a heated swimming pool with salted water. You can relax in the spacious park and terrace or admire the Voise Canal. All of the rooms have a view of the garden, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, luxury bathrobes and toiletries.
