Good location overlooking beach.
Firstly hotel was closed on arrival at 1pm. Only opened at 5pm. Most restaurants were closed for the season.
Restaurant far too pretentious. I ordered fillet mignon rare with morelles sauce. Got overcooked fillet with no sauce and when I complained they told me it was PORK! They refused to refund 26 Euros. Also too isolated in October and almost every local facility closed or restricted hours. tried to get a taxi to go somewhere with life and facilities but couldn't on Saturday at all. Got one on Sunday to Portiragnes village but couldn't get one back so had to walk 5KM with a bad knee. Definitely wouldn't go again as although located right on the beach it's covered in washed up trees and branches. Looks like a forest was obliterated somewhere and is now on the beach.
We arrived off an early morning Ryanair flight into Beziers. Taxi ride to hotel got us there by 11:00am and when asked if our room was ready there was no look of disdain just a smile, check and sure enough we were given the keys to room 4. This is a nice room with its own balcony overlooking the sea.
Reception closed during the middle part of the day making it awkward for those arriving at that time. There was nothing else to complain about.
Weather and the location by the sea.
Hot outside and the AC did not work. Unable to reach staff. Very bad. Poor wifi. Rooms are older at the back (better at seaside).
The location is great to relax by the sea Helpful staff Great restaurant The room is clean and has a lot of space
Wi-Fi didn't work all the time You have to pay attention to the working hours of the reception We got stuck inside the hotel, the key didn't open the outer door, had to ask the restaurant owner for help The breakfast is expensive compared to bakery alternatives in the town The price is much higher than in the nearby 5-star camping
Le Mirador is well situated with free parking at the front and views over the Med from the balcony. It is clean and the staff very helpful. Perhaps the best thing to report on was the meal that we enjoyed in the restaurant. We would definitely stay at Le Mirador again.
Position was quite good close to a beach. Ambiance in the restaurant was fair.
The shower room could do with a good clean particularly the tiles in the shower(lots of mould in the grout. The only restaurant where a half a duck breast is served as a portion. Breakfast selection was also very poor, no fresh baguette, no croissants,no hot water for tea and mediocre selection of fruit.Eggs were in shell so it was difficult to know if they were cooked or not. No option for anything cooked
It was an ideal situation for an overnight stay or several nights. Te staff were helpful. The restaurant was excellent
The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent.
Only the fact that it didn't have a pool.
Only 7 klm from Beziers airport Right on beach Very good resturant Helpful staff
Rooms very compact
Was very helpful would stay again was very good all round mike debs
Location Staff Food Atmosphere Portiragnes plage Close to Beziers and not Cap D'agde
Slippery tiles in shower
Rooms with own terrace are amazing, very clean, polite staff.
Breakfast not worth 18 euros, milk had sour taste so I didn't want to take any chances.
Excellent meal. Very helpful member of staff at reception who waited for us when we were late, before leaving.
Very awkward secure parking- would have been impossible with large car. Not necessary off season- plenty of free parking outside.
Excellent position, right by the sea (only a small car park between hotel and dunes), on the other hand in summer it must be hell getting down to it via long straight road. Cheapest rooms face on to inner terrace with no view - didn't consider that a problem since we paid very little. Room spotless, rather small but bathroom perfectly adequate and again very clean. Don't understand how Logis has given it 3 chimneys, because although fine for the price (out of season, I should say) it is very basic and very plain. Restaurant serves very good food - you don't often find razor clams, and they were delicious, and the duck was really excellent. Wine list good and not over priced. Again, rather a bucket-and-spadey feel to the decor, but definitely a worthwhile place to eat if you like good food.
No view from cheapest bedrooms, and wouldn't even attempt access in the summer! Opening hours of reception are restricted, but it should be possible to work with it even if it is a bit odd for a seaside hotel.
I love this hotel, the situation is fantastic. Portiragnes Plage is just like the seaside used to be. The beach is glorious, book a room with a sea view. The staff / family are really friendly and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we were late this time and were not able to eat in the restaurant but the breakfast was nice and fresh, good coffee.
The whole experience. Food great, staff efficient and friendly, room with large balcony overlooking beach clean and bright and comfortable.
nothing to dislike.
The location was perfect for us, as it was out of season it was quiet as well.
Nothing really. When it is out of season, you need a car, most of the rest of the resort is closed. I should imagine In july/august it would be very different when the nearby holiday camps are open
Hotel is locked and no staff at front desk from mid day until 5pm. If you have already checked in, your room key gives you access to the hotel, if not, you must wait until 5pm to check in.
Location and staff
Exellent dinner. Good seaside location
Very poor noise insulation between apartments, very bad drainage smell and mould growth around Basin and Bath taps, and bath to tile sealant was also mouldy, large surface cracks in bathroom wall tiles. Room Safe box was not secured to anything, ie, wall or floor, Small room, noisey Air con system which expeled a large amount of dust into the atmosphere making impossible to use at night, Entrance door into apartment, though secure, the euro lock was so close to the roller shutter frame it was very difficult to put the key into the lock cylinder from the outside, this would have been impossible for anybody with a disability. At nine euros breakfast was very expensive for the choice of food on offer, a kettle with cup and saucer etc in the room would have been nice, the fridge was however a good thing to have.
