Score from 1433 reviews Very good
The staff where friendly and helpful. The beds where nice and comfortable.
The WiFi keeped disconnecting
The location was excellent for where I needed to be, only a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk to work, however I got a taxi for both much to the annoyance of the taxi driver who had waited half an hour for a fare and got me !!! Liam on reception was friendly and informative, showed a good rapport with his customers. Breakfast was a buffet style and was adequate.
The leaking shower screen The decor in the restautrant.
Polite and friendly staff, great seaview, excellent location. Clean and a great value breakfast . Not the first time we've stayed here and won't be the last.
Room decor was lovely and amenities were just as needed. Bathroom was very clean and heated towel rack was very well used.
Combined hair and body wash in the showers is never very practical but not a major issue. Fan in bathroom was a bit loud and not entirely blocked out by closing the door.
Fantastic location to explore the lanes and Brighton in General
Weather but this is the UK
I just loved the view from our room and the room abd toilet everything was so clean.
The staff were attentive and had a great sense of fun
bathroom and carpet in bedroom was dated. Room was cold and needed an additional heater.
Easy to find right on front. Some of staff v nice
So noisy (next to bar/club). Noise went on until early hours on night I was there. Wifi couldn't connect. Freezing cold room despite heating on full blast Weird beeping every 30 seconds in or around room I couldn't locate.
The room was clean - the decor was fresh and room was comfortable and warm (which is useful on a cold night in Brighton). I wasn't expecting such a nice room and excellent service with such a cheap price (£36 per night).
There was a bit of noise from outside, from the room upstairs and other residents. However, the hotel and its staff cannot be held responsible for this.
The best of all is the staff ... Good breakfast and room good to go with family
Excellent helpful reception staff who even put our bags in room
staff are friendly and the restaurant is really good quality.
Room was for single occupancy not double paid for. There was no where to put our clothes once unpacked apart from a tiny narrow hanging cupboard. When asked if we could pay for a bigger room was told they were fully booked although we're still advertising rooms on booking.com
We were upgraded to a room with a 'side sea view', although it actually had a view along the seafront road, and to both piers. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished. The breakfast was excellent value for money, and the restaurant has lots of character. Very happy with our stay.
All of the things Mentioned. Location was good close to where ever you wanted to go. We don't drive so everything was in walkable distance. Plenty of cafes, and eating places.
I think the only problem we had was the windows do not keep much of the noise out.
I was very impressed with the staff Steph as she gave us a bigger room because we had our son with us. We were given a sea room which was amazing. I liked the writing above the bed it was a nice touch. Our son loved breakfast as we got to sit in a theatre style booth very quirky and just what we love about Brighton.
Nothing not to like loved our stay and will be back soon to visit thank you to all the friendly staff.
Excellent location, friendly staff, good querky restaurant, decent breakfast.
Our room was at the back and noise from a nearby nightclub went on late - but it was the Saturday before Christmas!
Friendly, polite, professional reception staff. Good location close to Jamie's Italian, the lanes, the seafront etc.. Fuss-free check-in and check-out, accommodating requests for quiet rooms near to each other. Neat, clean bedrooms - with free 'upgrade' from 2 singles to doubles. Teenagers enjoyed pool table in bar. Decent breakfast. Quiet enough to sleep well. Cool room - hooray! (I hate being too hot, and bedding was more than adequate for one.)
Water temp fluctuates, but not enough to ruin shower. Mattress a bit soft and tired but not enough to ruin sleep (esp for one alone in a double bed.) A bit of outdoor noise - but not enough to keep us awake. No view, but we only needed a base so that was fine.
Right in front of the beach, big room with nice view, and well decorated. Very good english breakfast.
Noise from the passing cars. Light coming from the window at night.
Was lucky enough get free upgrade because hotel was quiet(Jan)
Cooked breakfast wasn't very warm
front of house staff. location.sea views reduced parking, few minutes walk delightful restaurant, joined by interconnecting doors.
peeling paint in bathroom build up of limescale(brown) in bathroom, on grout, sealants, shower door, cictern, chips in basin, large one in bath, makes it look dirty. very uncomfortable bed, mattress tired.
Excellent reception staff
Room was hot overnight Coffee shop adjoining looked unappealing
