Where do I start . The location is fantastic when you just want to go away for a relax. Food was very good as was the service.
Television was rather small . Lots of men sat around a very small screen watching a big match !
From the minute we walked into hotel the service was amazing and the staff really friendly. The food was excellent.
The only fault we had was when we went to our room No8 you could see the inside of the windows were dirty, dust in the room was a disgrace, you could see the dust right round the bed and tv unit and right round the edging of the carpet and even the book telling you all about the hotel was dusty. In our room was a sofa bed I couldn't tell you the last time it was moved cause it was thick with dust and there was pop corn and lid of kids juice bottle . Rest of the hotel was spotless
Location and service
They don't make enough use of the view and the lodges look a bit tatty. We stayed in a suite, room 301, but the view was over the car park instead if the lake.
The location of this hotel is fabulous, with views over beautiful Loch Ard. The bedroom was immaculate, with a large and extremely comfortable king sized bed. (Ask for a front facing room) The breakfast was delicous, in particular the locally sourced sausages! All staff were friendly and accomodating, even serving us a cream tea at 7pm on a Saturday evening, much needed after our hike of Ben Lomond (hike very much recommended!). All in all we had a very relaxing break which we found to be excellent value for money and would recommend this hotel to all. Hope to return in the not too distant future.
Very difficult to fault this hotel! The tennis courts looked like they could use some tlc, so we chose not to use them. On arrival we could only use one tv channel but once notified to reception this was promptly dealt with (a quick retune apparently!).
Hotel facilities and how well catered the resort is for families. Pool, gym, spacious rooms, gardens.
The extremely rude Maitre d' in the Rafters Bar & Bistro. Also the food was akin to school dinners.
We just fell in love with the hotel and the staff excellent.
Gorgeous location overlooking the loch Immaculate gardens Swimming pool was ideal for children
Excellent food and views
Noisy location of bedroom. One of the two TVs in the suite did not work
Situation overlooking loch.
On 2 of the nights we stayed at the hotel we found the dinner menu in the Garden restaurant to be a bit repetitive.
Location Staff where friendly and helpful Facilities
Price of soft drinks
Prices in the bar
Location Room and bathroom Clean
Very poor bistro food. No taste, lousy service with poorly trained staff. Weak WiFi connection. Overall: poor Price/quality
Location, staff and atmosphere. It felt like nothing was out of question and the food was outstanding
It was a little pricey.
Thought it was over rated
The room was clean. Good size bathroom with good shower.
I found the bed uncomfortable. The room was too hot. Poor insulation: you could hear very clearly the conversation going on next door!
The location; it is amazing!
For the price, nothing is included. A small breakfast option could be included. No ice machine on the floors.
Loved the location Loved the hotel Food in the bistro was fabulous (did not eat dinner in the main restaurant) Excellent service
Whilst the staff were excellent, we were slightly surprised at the number of staff from eastern Europe. No complaints at all about their service or performance, but it slightly detracted from the "Scottish experience".
Room are full of spiders and no nice view of the loch. No access to the loch from the hotel. In-house restaurant food is lousy and pricey. Staff unfriendly and bias. Breakfast portion is pathetic. Hotel charges are messy.
Setting, breakfast, swimming pool
Mobile signals were poor
Liked location, view, general ambiance, room
Food wasn't up to fine dining standards.
Geographic position gardens, locals. Attitude of people running the coach house ( very good meal)
Attitude of some staff. A request for sugar was unable to befulfilled. Comment from chef was 'it's not my problem' No tv reception, took until second day before informed that there was a general problem.Told could view in bar above swimming pool, smell of chlorine or some such was too much to stay. Set menu £39:00 no a la carte No lift No offer of help with luggage to Room on 3rd floor under the eaves designed for one except for bed. 14inch hanging space in wardrobe. Windows could not be opened in any meaningful because of design of pelmet. Table for one meant one guest had to sit on bed with tray also on the bed ... I could go on
Food and service was excellent. Scenery fantastic.
The road to the hotel is very narrow and in places borders the loch. Not for the faint hearted! Wouldn't go in winter.
The hotel's extremely beautiful location, very comfortable accommodation, and high standard of cleanliness throughout.
The surly (almost to the point of rudeness) attitude of the majority of the staff, although there were a couple of exceptions (Eva and Xavier). Also, I did not appreciate being summoned to reception at 21:45 to have my card put through the machine to see if I had "sufficient funds" to cover the bill?! I am sure the staff members are perfectly pleasant people but they certainly seemed unhappy which did not make for a comfortable atmosphere.
