Lamlash is the prettiest village on Arran, with the most beautiful views.
There are charming art & craft shops, lovely cafes with home baking and the ferry over to Holy Isle goes from the pier.
The Lamlash Bay hotel serve delicious evening meals. There are other bars & restaurants as an alternative.
Buses go through the village in either direction, so it's easy to get around the island from here (get a timetable).

Lamlash is a lovely village - 10mn bus from Brodick/ferry terminal - with some nice little shops and beaches from where you can admire the Holy Isle and also some seals who seem to love the area!
Few restaurants and a Co-op (supermarket) and the people there are very welcoming.

Lamlash is a great location to base yourself, only ten minutes from Brodick. Very easy to get around and everyone is friendly. Crabbing and pier jumping for the kids is recommended! However we visited the Drift Inn for dinner and could not recommend it.

Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle.
Loved the sea view over to Holy Isle. And the walk along the shore.
We ate at 3 local restaurants, the Pierhead Tavern, Lamlash Bay Hotel and Glenisle Hotel all of which served good food and had friendly staff. All on the shore road within easy walking distance from the property.

Small coastal town, pretty , good views of holy island and some nice walks and views. Waterfalls and cairns not too far away.
Monamore B and B fabulous nothing too much trouble for our hostess.
Drift Inn good for food book and be early for the specials such as Scallops.
Flat walking on the front some cafes and shops. Also some sports facilities but we did not use.
Extremely clean, Covid friendly, room 2 big and spacious. breakfast and evening meal beautiful. staff so nice and helpful. Our ferry was cancelled on our day we were meant to be going home due to high winds but the owner kept us our room and booked us in for breakfast and dinner as well. Perfect surroundings, on the water, pubs nearby and other restaurants as well (but my advice is eat at the hotel as it’s delicious and have drinks in the hotel pub as it’s gorgeous). Also a co-op is right next door if u want some goodies in ur room.
This venue was quite special, right on the water looking out at the Holy Isle and in walking distance to a lovely cafe (The Old Pier Tearoom), pubs and shops in Lamlash. The hosts were so kind and welcoming and made sure we knew everything we needed to book the ferry to Arran for instance, really felt like they went out of their way to provide a great experience. The apartment itself was well stocked and sparkling clean with great views without even leaving the front door!
Perfect seafront location, with an idyllic view from the garden, looking over to the Holy Isle. It's situated just off the main road, so no traffic noise, but not too far from Lamlash facilities. The sleep huts are perfectly adequate and comfortable, and the cookhouse has everything required to store/prepare food. If you're having an adventure holiday on Arran, and you don't need 'resort' type facilities, I would recommend the Arran Lodge as a base.
Carol and Jules were very friendly and helpful. We really liked the way the place was decorated, the attention to detail, and and a great collection of books! Nice touches like a bowl of fruit in the room.
The location was excellent, in the middle of Lamlash.
The vegan breakfast was delicious, and very generous portions.
Lovely location near the beach and easy walking distance along a coastal path from Lamlash. Village has all necessary amenities and is a great base to explore Arran. Spotless, comfortable room with small fridge and wonderful breakfast. Guests can come and go during the day. Owner is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Great location with even better views. The Sleep Huts are perfect for hikers and cyclists who only need accommodation to sleep. It's basic but has everything you need. The communal cook house is very nice and spacious for any cooking needs. I would definitely return to sleep huts next time I'm in lamlash.
Brilliant stay at Monamore Guest House, couldn't fault a thing. Homemade shortbread & tablet in the room was a lovely wee touch. Located in a great location within walking distance to Lamlash with a couple of greats pubs & restaurants. We will definitely be back!
Lovely flat, and a handy location in Lamlash. Nice job on the decor, lots of nice touches throughout.
Clean and very comfortable.
Easy check in, good instructions, and lots and lots and good quality local information of where to go and how to get around.
The hotel is in a perfect location near restaurants, shops and well connected for hikes and other activities in the south of the island. The hosts June and Colin are fantastic and provide you with the best tips. Breakfast is also of excellent quality.
Up to date cottage with all amenities for cooking washing and relaxing in. Lamlash beach is just over the road which is excellent for dogs. The location and scenery was amazing. If we return would stay again.
