Owners and Staff fantastic. Food spot on. Beer and wine well kept and good variety. Entertainment in bar never intrusive on the stay. Working at the theatre with 13-18yr olds - this was a great hotel to return to to chill out and it is highly recommended.
A few minutes walk from the theatre or the bars and restaurants. Welcoming staff Good range of ales in the bar Tasty breakfast
Short (flat) walk to theatre, Good Breakfast, I couldn't really find fault.
Only a few parking spaces directly outside hotel
The room was cold as the radiators were not on. The manager lent across our table to get the sauce whilst we were eating our breakfast just to put it back.
breakfast and room
central location reasonable bar prices for food and drinks excellent breakfast comfy bed and lovely quality quilt
Great location and breakfast was excellent
Very helpful staff, friendly and welcoming Good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast
Nothing, for the money it was perfect for an overnight stay
Friendly staff, large and comfortable room
Staff very friendly and relaxed. Bar is good, breakfast was excellent. Location spot on. Great value
Room was bit basic but OK at this price. Shower not the best. Parking bit tight
Very friendly and helpful staff. Central location. Very warm and quiet. Breakfast excellent.
The hotel was easy to find.
The room was simply not worth the price. It would have been ok for 30 pounds.... It would have been fine in another part of the world where making do is normal (and then it would have cost 10 pounds & been part of a cultural adventure!). Half the window was blocked off, there was an emergency exit complete with glowing sign in the room, and rather a lot of noise from people (staff?) thumping about in the emergency stairs. Sadly, discussion with the owner on this appeared to cause him to think insulting me was a good response.Overall not a positive experience. I moved to another hotel in Great Malvern where the service & facilities matched the price, so fortunately my break was not ruined by this hotel & incredibly hostile owner.
Excellent central location. Modernised Victorian hotel, so reasonable sized rooms. Good bed! Friendly, helpful staff. Good value food in the bar. Nice to have a choice of real ales. Good choice at breakfast, including some home-made specials. Great value!
Limited WiFi. Parking restricted.
At 10pm I was phoned in the Abbey Hotel - where I had thought I had booked - and realised I had booked the wrong hotel by mistake. That was an expensive mistake! Sorry, guys!
Having to pay for two hotels
warmth of welcome
rattly window in wind
Location Room had a bath. Breakfast was excellent and serving staff were helpful and attentive.
Hallways were a bit tired We ate in the bar area. Well presented food but rather small portions for a sporty appetite.
The Great Malvern Hotel is most welcoming with friendly service, the food is varied and tasty (whatever your preferences) and the rooms are comfortable, large and well equipped. A great stay and I would thoroughly recommend the Hotel.
Generally good accommodation, friendly staff and good breakfast
Container of soggy bath salts in bathroom. If these are going to be advertised they should be in a watertight container.
size and location staff friendly but somewhat overstretched quiet after 11:00pm
dinner not available on the night of our stay bedroom and bathroom not up to modern standards lounge not conducive to sitting-in for the evening
Location was brilliant and so was its value for money. The cooked breakfast which was included in the price was refreshingly grilled rather than fried and my gluten free diet was well catered for. Our room was very quiet even though there was a band playing in the hotel. Will definitely visit again.
The only thing I didn't like was having to fight through the smokers on the steps of the hotel in order to be able to check in. It's a shame there wasn't a separate entrance for hotel guests.
Staff were good and very helpful. The position of hotel was excellent for exploring Gtest Malvern.
The rooms are, as others have said, a bit tired and the plumbing on the 3rd floor a bit eccentric.
Bed & Pillows Friendly Staff Location for central facilities Limited but adequate parking Good Breakfast
Showing it's age in places.
Breakfast is good with home-made jams, cereal and dried fruits, and local produced honey. We lived in two rooms in two different days. Both have a good view to Great Malvern.
Water pressure at bathroom is weak and it takes time to bath. The room at 3rd floor needs to use a water pump to increase the pressure with great noise but it cannot help much.
