Bit by bit the hotel is being brought up to a good standard.
There are still no grab handles in the bathroom which makes showering a little difficult as you have to get into the bath to use the shower, and although there is a notice telling you the bath base is enamel and slippery there are no aids to assist with this.
Warm welcome, excellently placed, interesting town
The hotel was welcoming and the staff efficient and friendly. My room was clean, and thought had clearly been given to what travellers might need. Breakfast was ample. No frills, but all the essentials were provided. Though my room faced a busy road I was disturbed only by a couple of excessively noisy vehicles whose row no double gazing would keep out.
The choice of music during breakfast. Something unobtrusively soothing, please!
Great location. Double room large and comfortable.friendly staff.lovely breakfast .especially enjoyed the home made muesli.second time we have stayed here and will definitely do so again.
The staff were very friendly and professional and there was no problem with me checking in 40 minutes early. The room was huge. I booked a single and was given a twin. It had a comfortable sofa in addition to the beds. The large supply of complimentary mint humbugs were a welcome touch. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable choice.
Comfortable room with lots of space Good food and beer Easy access to town and hills
The location was central. Our room was clean and comfortable and shower in bathroom excellent.Breakfast was good.there was a lively bar on Sat night.
View from bedroom was a wall.there was not enough variety of cereals at breakfast. We were lucky to park outside hotel but access was not easy.
restaurant was great. Staff were really friendly AND efficient. If you just want a basic hotel in a central location this is fine. No frills at all.
lumpy bed. Bed definitely would benefit from a new mattress.
mis-priced bills, and poor welcome from staff
I liked the homemade granola and marmalade and jam! Very friendly and helpful staff.
bath/shower mix didn't work. Room smelled dusty and was noisy because we were over the bar - but I had been expecting that.
The staff were helpful and efficient. The hotel is well positioned for the theatres and restaurants. The choice of breakfast was very good, ranging from fruit juice and toast to a full meal. The hotel has a car park which proves convenient given the central location of the hotel.
Dampness in the bathroom.
locality and in general the price. also good breakfast.
hard uncomfortable beds. lots of noise from the street below but this ios not really the hotels fault.
Location, room, breakfast
Feather pillows, easy parking, unemphasised charm, local beers
Missed the famous Toad singing on Saturday night
Position of Hotel, rooms clean and fresh, good value for money.
Parking very limited, but manageable.
Very close to some attractive places
Wifi not reaching strong in some rooms
Staff were very friendly and the food was good. We ate in the bar and were impressed by the quality. Price was fair too. We enjoyed the live music in the bar, but I was reassured when, on check-in, the receptionist warned us about the music and told us that hotel guests are their priority and the music would finish by 11pm. This shows that they value their residents. We would stay again if attending another event at the Malvern Showground.
Bathroom needs updating, but when I mentioned on checkout that I had not been able to change from shower to bath mode on the taps, they said they are planning to revamp the bathrooms next.
Good location for theatre and value for money. Nice breakfast and friendly staff
We were two old school friends travelling together, the hotel was perfect for us, the best breakfasts of our trip, nothing was too much trouble for the owner or staff. Highly recommended.
Good quality room with good working facilities. Excellent food particularly breakfast
Great friendly welcome, comfy bed, good bar with well kept beer. Good breakfast, staff very friendly.
No food on sunday evening, bathroom bin not emptied, only 2 tea sachets, poor shower pressure (a dribble)
Central location spacious rooms
Church Road is steep and to be avoided, going upwards.
This was the perfect base for four days in and around Worcester. Breakfasts terrific, staff friendly and helpful. Top choice for a cricket trip.
Breakfast probably the best I've had and size of the rooms. Great bar and live music
Tired washed out bedding and furniture in room. Poor sleep due to fight in street and boy racers going through the town.
