Short drive from promenade. Buffet style breakfast was very good (excellent sausages !) Pool looked very inviting but we didn't have time to use it.
Bar prices. Bar food menu Bar food (don't bother with the horrible chutneys just a small side salad would be better) More toast with pate ! Not sure if bar staff were serving correct measure of Baileys.
Really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools, thought the availability times were more than adequate for visiting families. The Victory Bar was very good and offered a limited but well cooked and presented menu. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice both cooked and not and the timings quite good not too early for being on holiday. Close to a lovely park and zoo, very good golfing facilities. Staff all really helpful and friendly.
We booked an accessible room for one of our party, didn't find the rooms particularly large for their purpose, had bigger premier inn rooms. The Italian restaurant was very over priced and not particularly memorably, we only went once as we thought it too pricey - good service from the young lady who served us though.
The staff were friendly and helpful the rooms were excellent offering ironing boards to hairdryers to telephone and i phone connections. the beds are spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed meals in the victory pub which provided excellent service and the use of the pool was great
Location & facilities. Naomi in the spa was very good
Room far too dark. Had to apply make-up by braille
Good location, good staff and service. Very clean throughout this resort. Good breakfast and service. Bed was comfortable. A friendly helpful hotel
Not a great menu for food. Bar haven't got a great deal of larger and ales to choose from. Good other wise.
we liked everything about this hotel, swimming pools are outstanding, saunas, jacuzi and steam room, rooms are lovely, staff are amazing, facilities are great. golf, tennis courts and squash courts as well.
needed more space to put clothes as we stayed for 8 nights, no wardrobe on rooms.
Lovely room, excellent leisure facilities especially the swimming pools Gorgeous receptionist! (long dark hair)
Limited times that children could use the swimming pool. Massive queues for breakfast
Location, views, quietness, layout, friendliness of staff, very helpful, very easy, courteous, welcome check-in, easy access to rooms floors, very good facilities, very clean. Very nice comfortable room, very good breakfast, all breakfast staff did a brilliant job, although would prefer a cold continental buffet.
Bar prices!! - although very quiet there was a distinct hum from some machine/equipment outside our room at night. We always sleep with windows open, didn't disturb my sleep but it was there, too warm in room.
Lovely comfortable room, good restaurant food, location good.
Everything about the hotel was great, staff were very helpful, they even organised our taxis for our night out, would of loved to of stayed longer. We were a group of 16 and we would all definitely return!!
Location and facilities
Mini fridge be nice
Everyone was pleasant, I had a small baby and the people , around, the staff were friendly all time.
The menus in the pub kitchen was not edible
I loved everything about the hotel great value for money! Will be coming back shortly!
Wow , I loved this place
I thought the bedrooms would be glamorous but they were very ordinary , stayed in a hotel costing half I paid for this and the bedroom outclassed this place
Outdoor pool. Outdoor bar area
Service poor in restaurant. Upper Deck Room not worth the extra money..same size as a normal room, decor exactly the same. Requested extra breakfast tea as only 2 bags and received Tetleys (after 2 requests and 5 hours) and not Starbucks
Lighting in the room
It is a lovely hotel with a nice atmosphere.
Our room was quite dark.
Didn't sleep well because of noise coming from other rooms due to adjoining doors and thin walls.
Excellent leisure facilities
Noise from nightclub or bar
Everything about this place ticked my buttons, this place is fantastic and l could not fault the place from staff, facilities, cleanliness and location. I would give them 10 out of ten.
There was no wardrobe in room as l stayed for 8 nights and had to live out of suitcase, not a big deal but would have helped. Massive table with flat screen on, could have been smaller to fit a wardrobe..
The hotel room we had was dirty and in need of decoration. The mirror in the bathroom had not been cleaned in months by the look of it. I opened the window which was that rotten it nearly fell off. The condiment tray in the bar area was stuck down with dirt as one member of staff told us. Would not stay here again. It is a real shame this hotel carries the De Vere name.
Facilities were excellent, breakfast was lovely and room was well presented.
Room was a little bit too hot diring the night but a fan was provided in the room so that helped
Very clean friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Would go again
We went when there was a wedding going on at the hotel, we could hear the music in our room.
It is good that there is a pool, gym and a Starbucks. We chose this hotel because the kids love being in a swimming pool. The cleaner that was still cleaning our room on arrival was very nice and helpful and gave the kids a packet of sweets and a drink each.
The room was average. The sofa bed that the kids had to sleep on would only be fit for animals. The travel cot for our boy of 21 months old was terrible. After a long wait to check in we had No help to the room even though we had 3 kids and lots of luggage. The breakfast was average. Buffet breakfast with overdone bacon and hard fried eggs.
