Noise from outside
good location close to the city centre.staff polite and helpful.Room 803 clean ,tidy and nice bed .Breakfast plenty of choice and taxis cheap.
NOISE,NOISE ,OH NOISE.Heavy traffic on a big roundabout close to the hotel.Night club across the road,if you want a good night sleep go some where else.
This is in an ideal location if you are wanting to be in the centre of Sheffield. The hotel was very noisy when we were there on our particular floor. However, the staff were very helpful and moved us to a much quieter floor. We would stay there again.
hotel very nice clean tidy rooms alots space nice bathroom comfortable bed TV,coffee tea kettle free wi-fi big wardrobe space were very near to our venue just walking distance friendly staff at reception, area to smoke, nice bar and restaurant overall we had a brilliant stay
Accommodating staff , allowed us access to the room earlier as we needing to change for our daughters graduation x
everything in easy walking distance for the city centre
they would not accept cash from one of our group as payment without photo ID. seemed strange as the amount of cash for a one night stay was small
The room was very cosey and clean. The view was perfect.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and the the hotel was in a great central location
Room was nice and spaciaous as were the public areas
The restraunt! Wine glasses were dirty and the chips were inedible.
Location is great, getting there is v convenient despite having no parking of their own (they have a deal with a local secure multistorey)
There are a few things that came across as a bit cheap/unhelpful. For example, despite dire warnings not to leave valuables in the room the safe deposit boxes aren't actually big enough to put a laptop in and some are broken. My keycard was a bit old and knackered, and didn't let me into my room on the second night so I rang them to ask them to meet me outside with a replacement, but no-one came up. Luckily I managed to get in after 15 minutes of swearing but it all just felt a bit unnecessarily cold ...
Very friendly reception
Its location convenient also linen etc changed daily.
The noise at night and it was a bit grubby .
It was ok. Standard Best Western.
How you overcook a steak yet undercook chips and onion rings is beyond me. The chef doesn't seem to care much.
Staff in the bar
This hotel is conveniently located near the city centre and train station. Comfortable clean and friendly staff. Would definitely use again.
Very helpful friendly staff
Bed a bit to firm for me
Lee the barman was excellent he had excellent local knowledge and nothing was a problem..5 mins walk from station and city centre
Slight noise from road but nothing really ...asked reception to order taxi for next morning and double checked it was done...guess what no taxi ordered...sorted in the end but very nearly missed important appoinment #wouldntofbeenhappy
Excellent value for money Breakfast
the cover on my bed was stained
Reception staff were extremely rude and couldn't seem to get anything right. When we arrived the key wouldn't work in the lift or door and I had to go back and ask for a new key card. My boyfriend was ill so we paid for late check-out and still the key wouldn't work after normal check out time. At exactly 2pm were called and then a receptionist came to our room to make sure we were leaving and we felt very pestered. Also the cleaner ignored the do not disturb sign on the door and came in to clean the room anyway. The bathroom was also very dirty with mould around the sink and the floor of the shower. My boyfriend accidentally pulled the emergency cord, and even though neither of us are disabled nothing happened, so I'm not sure this room would be safe for a disabled person. The doors were very loud and through out the night we could hear other doors slamming like it was our door. Over all it was a very uncomfortable and unpleasant stay.
Simple and effective.
Location Staff Room Food Service Cheap car park
Panoramic view of sheffield from my room.
Building site opposite. Ok for me but hard luck if you fancy a lie in.
