the staff - all friendly & good breakfast
Hotel clean. Friendly helpful staff.
Everything was fine.
5 minutes' walk from rail station. Friendly staff greeted on arrival.
Friendly and helpful staff, very well equipped and clean rooms
Parking off site, 800mtr down road
Wifi access Cleanliness Price
Couldn't get a coffee downstairs as the girl on the bar couldn't work the machine Not enough reception staff on for a busy Friday evening
Excellent location for our purpose. Understanding of young children. Friendly staff.
Location to city centre
The double beds seemed very small for a hotel, king size would be better !
Room was booked for three people but only had towels and cups etc for two. Had to ring down to reception twice before this was rectified. Toilet was re-filling all night (faulty), really annoying.
Comfortable Good quality breakfast at good price, with children's breakfast free this is really good value. Great views of the city from the top floor (9th) amused the children
The standard rooms are a bit on the tight side for an adult and two children. Had expected three single beds but had a double and single and for an adult not used to sleeping with a lively child this led to a disturbed sleep.
Friendly staff, very clean rooms, great location.
Food in the bar wasn't too good on this occasion - the chips were dreadful! The room was very hot at night but the air con soon sorted that out.
Lee, the barman, was excellent. Friendly, helpful, nothing too much trouble, very efficient and hard working. Every hotel should have a Lee. The reception staff were also very friendly and extremely helpful. In particular Emily (or was it Emma?) made extra efforts to help us. Much quieter than the last time I stayed, maybe because this was mid-week whereas the last time was week-end. Generally clean and well-maintained hotel, within easy walking distance of city center.
Parking is a couple of hundred meters away on the opposite side of a busy road; inconvenient when carrying luggage. The bedroom doors make a loud bang when allowed to close freely. still no dampers to reduce this noise. I mentioned this last year and was told that "Steps were being taken to solve the problem"! Bathtub leaked allowing water on the floor which created a potential threat of slipping on the wet surface.
Very helpful staff. Location
Bathroom grouting horrendous, looks like a 5 year old did it
Saw a band live at 'the-plug' which is literally over the road. Car park is round the corner and cheap for a city centre hotel. Staff were very helpful and breakfast is really well set out and worth the money.
Our room had some trouble with air in the water pipes but have flagged this to the staff.
Room, staff, central location
Poor food at dinner, poor quality, pre-frozen food at breakfast
Room, cheaper parking.
Hard to locate while driving Find on sat Nav drove around awhile. Two tier Sat Nav
Booked the hotel at around 8, arrived for around 10.15, got booked in very quickly and sorted!
Poor WIFI connection
Location is near station and city centre. Pleasant bar area and perfectly adequate breakfast, only £8 if paid at check in. Room fine and bed comfortable. A step up from Premier Inn for roughly the same price.
Room rather cool and the CH system didn't seem to make much difference
you receive double bed also a single bed which is great. also the staff are fine. clean tidy and nice hotel overall plenty space. good value for money i found it really cheap price it was £40 when i stayed last which i class as a bargain.you get a lot for your money.
there's restriction on volume during the day its not even late its around 14.00-17.00 clock music is restricted around hotel also tv volumes are restricted to. Wi-Fi isn't always the best.
The members of staff and food was of a high standard.
We were traveling by train to London on the Saturday and needed an over night stay previous eve. Perfect location for railway station. Highly recommend it.
Was alp good
Ate in the bar & food took too long to come.
Nice location and good service.
Reception need improvement. Majority of the times not responding calls. I have missed many external & internal calls. I can see this is the gap to Jurys inn to improve. Otherwise all are fine.
