Too many children in pool having lessons & swimming with parents, too many crying children in changing rooms.as a couple wanting to chill out we where in room next too family woken at 7.30 by noisy children I am not anti children but I feel management should not place them next to couples for both parties had we of been coming in early hours it would of disturbed them as much, breakfast dried out would not return!
Difficulty accessing room Decor was tired Breakfast (Eggs Benedict) worst ever had and cold - very slow service.
Cleanliness and friendliness
Items that were included in our last trip we had to ask for this time eg bath robes for spa and disposable manicure pack
The whole Turkish team in the bar and the restaurant who were absolutely brilliant and know no limits in pleasing the client.
The cleanliness of the two rooms was sub-standard. The towels looked like they had only been rinsed and dried, the shower curtain had blood stains on it, the grout in the bathroom was unfinished behind the toilet. The wall paper was stained and peeling off in places. The central heating was working in the corridors but not the bedrooms. The best of the best was breakfast where the whole team were totally untrained, not making the difference between a tea pot and a coffee pot, not cleaning the tables correctly for the following guests and the 'matron' insists on having the last word with the customers! If you arrive at 6.30AM when the dinning room is empty they say it's too early and things aren't ready, at 7.30AM it's the same and at 9.30AM you are more or less told off for being late! The general manager comes to supervise on Friday when the room was empty but can't be found when it's pandemonium.
Good value for money
Size of the room was good. Swimming pool was large.
Shower area was a bit shabby. Breakfast menu wasn't given to us until the last day. Had to wait for hot & cold items on occasions. Rooms very hot.
Staff excellent. Rooms spotless and nicely furnished. Breakfast was very good. Facilities top notch.
Nothing to dislike.
The friendliness of the staff, rooms, spa and indoor and outside pool. Breakfast was very good. I hired a conference room, everybody was very helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and I felt very well looked after
The evening meal was very good, but expensive, probably more suited to that special occasion
Location and pool was good.
Organisation was extremely poor.
FACILITIES AND LOCATION
MATTRESS A LITTLE TOO SOFT
I did stay at this hotel a couple of weeks and then was mostøly wrong with the hotel, unfriendly staff, getting a twin room when booked a double room and got food poisinig from the food delivered by room service. I decided to try once more even thou I did not have high expectations, but it was totally different, friendly staff, and nice room so I am very satisfied with the hotel after my last visit.
Location and atmosfere
I loved the entire setting. I travelled here from South Africa and was amazed at how beautiful it was. Quaint buildings, lovely setting.
the spa is very nice also gym is good
Rooms could do with a bit of updating
Buffet Breakfast general facilities
Bed not a king size room was cold on arrival but warmed up by morning
The facilities were very good. Smashing breakfast. The thermal suite was divine.
The booking with reception via booking.com stated it was just 2 adults , when in fact there were also 2 kids- had to chase to get bed linen etc. Not great when all you want is to get kids settled after a days travel.
1. Hotel is well situated. 2. Staff helpful but clearly not enough of them. 3. Didn't use spa but facilities looked good.
1. Breakfast was not good experience. All plates and cups etc were not smooth as if the dishwasher had not cleaned them properly, both days. 2. Big queues on Sunday with lots of complaints as people waited to be seated and for food. 3. Rooms and most areas look tired and need of upgrading. 4. Cost of drinks. 5. External noise e.g. running water from outside features at night. Could be a really great hotel but needs management to focus on many small things that all add to making the stay average rather than good.
The place was lovely.
No towels in the bathroom, and the phone to complain about this didn't work, I had to wasley to reception to order room service, and no apology when I did complain about this.
nice and quiet
Facilities are good if you want have time to use the Spa.
Reception staff not friendly. Very expensive for what it is if you just want a room. Not a great location, not near very much.
Location is pretty
We arrived to check in only to find one person on reception and a full wedding party and guests also doing the same. No help was given to the under pressure receptionist who was very pleasant even under strain. The complex looks like a cross between medieval and or a ranch style:-/ it's like a theme park without the rides. The rooms on the other hand are all old looking with dark wood furniture chintzy curtains, all just in need of some money throwing at it, one bath towel to share , no biscuits with the tea and coffee either and we had paid £79 room only! We headed to the main bar leant on the bar and struggled to unstick my now soiled shirt from a bar that could not have been cleaned in a week, again understaffed but pleasant when in attendance. Cocktail hour seemed a good ideas until you asked for cocktails where the Integral ingredients ie no mint for a Mojito is missing and this is just the start of the evening, again the decor is poor and outdated yet they seem to want to push the place as a high class spa! I'm afraid it fails and really needs money spending on it to take it from the seventies to modern day standards to even compete. It may get full due to it's ability to cope with high volume but how long before people start saying "that muck under the carpet is creating a noticeable lump?" I think it has.
friendly staff food spa and facilities spacious room
I like every thing about the hotel plus spa. What makes it for me is the Hydro pool
The un-safeness of outside the grounds it was very frightening.
Excellent breakfast with attentive staff.
Having stayed at the hotel some years ago, it is now very tired & in need of some TLC (ie refurbishment in many areas including bedrooms particularly the noisy bathroom extraction fans that can be heard in all neighbouring rooms)
