The staff at the desk and everywhere else I encountered them were super helpful.
I ate a post-marathon dinner in the restaurant and the food was good value although the race had sapped my appetite. Had the beef ribs one of which just fell lusciously off the bone and the other one a little drier but not so much it wasn't enjoyable.
The room was a good size for this solo traveller and I made use of the spa which was more than adequate for my needs. Highly recommended 👌

I never imagined a major town in South Wales could be so run down. I checked out of the accomodation a day early and found myself in the High Street around 0830. I had an hour or so here before my train out of town and I saw nothing of interest to a visitor.

First time in Wales for me.
First time in Wales for me. Everywhere we went met with friendly people. Even the girl in Next chatted while serving me and laughed with me about my day.Family meal (14 of us) at TGF. Made welcome and served with a smile all evening.
Coffee shops also had staff interested in our stories.
Pity we live in Perth with 8 hour drive as liked people and places and a return trip maybe when newlyweds have family

The room was good, the pool was out of commission which spoiled the weekend because that made the jacuzzi impossible to gain entrance to due to the amount of people being let down on the pool. Food was perfect.

There is a lot to like about Newport and the surrounding countryside. My favourite feature is without doubt the famous 'Transporter Bridge'. You have the choice of numerous venues for both Rugby and Football matches and a great selection of local Parkruns.

There are many places to eat in Newport, there is also lots of shops and local bars with live music. It is close to Newport football stadium. It also has a little castle near the train station.
The new Newport market is a great addition to Newport, it had lots of small shops and a variety of different restaurants which you can order on the app and get it served to your table.
Booked to attend a Rugby match in Cardiff. The hotel was ideally placed a short walk from the train station & was ideally placed.
A little tired in appearance but work is ongoing (painting) and our rooms appeared to have been done recently. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen spotless.
Had breakfast at Weatherspoons around the corner
The staff were very friendly & helpful.
Very good value for money.
It's a workies hotel, grubby and worn, not the best, if you need a cheap room for the night, or maybe just a couple of hours then it is fine. it is literally feet from the M4 so it is handy. Place stinks throughout but the room was fine. Certainly not a place to stay for a holiday. Breakfast is basically cornflakes and stale pastries and you have to wait because the breakfast room doesn't have enough tables.
Coldra Court Hotel ticks all the boxes for me, the rooms are spacious, clean well thought out. Having a swimming pool is a huge bonus. This visit did not include swimming having travelled to London then Wales I was too tired. The bar is comfortable and the restaurant is very good, the breakfast is excellent with a very good choice.
Very conveniently located to train station and bus terminus. Staff was very welcoming and helpful in requests. Rooms were clean and tidy far exceeded my expectations. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Newport area. I will stay here again if I get another opportunity to visit Newport.
Exceptional, fancy breakfast. We were very impressed with the upgraded rooms. All the furniture looked new. We felt like we were staying in a 4 star hotel but very competitive rate. I highly recommend this hotel. It was by far our favorite hotel during our trip of staying at 7 different hotels/B&Bs!!
Very friendly and relaxing hotel. wonderful countryside location. great family swimming pool and spa facilities. comfortable bar and residents dinning and games areas. large free car park for guests. easy access to Newport city centre. Excellent Raods and tail transport.
for the price, i was not expectng to much, but it ticked every box, and even a good fried breakfast with toast an jam!
would def recommend this place for a good bsic hotel, near the centre
Great location, peaceful setting, helpful staff, good internet, clean rooms. As with most UK hotels, there is no ice maker for guest use, but the bar staff will provide ice in pint glasses.
Beautifully designed hotel , rooms in the main house were stunning . I loved everything at the Priory Hotel, staff were so lovely and helpful , Definately coming back .
Everything was very lovely. I am from Newport but live in London. The hotel was the perfect place to relive memories and great for me meet up with childhood friends.
Service at hotel was very poor, breakfast was not to standard for the price you are paying for room/ hotel. Was expecting a lot more from this property
