The reception on arrival very friendly we were running late due to traffic and were due at a birthday party at the local rugby club, the receptionist organised a taxi while we put our things in our rooms and thanks to them we arrived with time to spare. On return time to check the room, clean comfy bed, clean bathroom and shower but most of all biscuits and tea making facilities perfect. Breakfast lovely staff great
On return no resident,s Bar bit disappointed no nightcap
the bed was raised at the bottom felt like it was tipped so we slept the wrong way round the pillows were so thin it was like having none the lift was out of order so had to carry the bags up 3 floors then the breakfast was nasty even the yogurt was horrible ! will defiantly not stay again
Lovely weekend good staff and facilities
The room was exceptionally tired, when I moved the kettle it had never been dusted underneath it for ages, the toilet seat pointed one way and the toilet another. The toilet was a small size toilet. There were bleach marks on the carpet, it was a dark room, it wasnt air conditioned, went to open top windows, spiders webs on them !!! On the wood casing (where the central heating pipes were hidden) there were funny blobs of stuff on there. The bed was soft, the room was too warm, couldnt open windows in night because of road noise we were on warrington road side. People smoking outside our window and we got the smell. The doors were noisey when shutting because they didnt have the springs on that made them shut quietly. The corridors smelt musty and air wick freshner smell everywhere too as if they were trying to cover the smell. The corridor past the function room smelt of sick.
Bar staff where great
The room smelt of mould on arrival not overpowering but it was there and very dusty
Staff were very obliging . Bed was very comfortable and clean.
Real problem with the water pressure so had no hot water. However they were very apologetic and maintained customer satisfaction.
Swimming pool was good but the changing rooms were poor!
Fan in bathroom didn't work The bed was very uncomfortable. The room was stiflingly hot and no aircon Waited 17 minutes at the bar to be served! Changing rooms in the swimming pool were grubby and no explanation on how to use the lockers!
every thing was very good and could not complain about anything
the staff were very good very helpful breakfast was good good choice
had to change room as shoer and other things were not working and room was very tired looking
staff bed swimming pool food was OK, not brilliant but OK
being moved out of dining room as a coach party was staying in the hotel. that act did not make us feel welcome at all. we were paying guests but were not treated as such whilst we dined. needed more bar staff, only one bar person for coach party and us!
Restaurant staff pleasant and helpful
Shower didn't work mo hot water not enough towels Limited channels on tv Lift not working
The staff was very nice and the pub had good food it was great!!
The shower has only VERY HOT water and you can't do anything about it!
staff were very helpful, and really out themselves out to help us find our way around manchester. Hotel was really good and breakfast was fantastic
Rooms at rear look out onto oak trees and the setting sun. On-site parking. Very obliging staff.
Busy East Lanc Road at front
Central location to our family & friends
Room over the gym was like a hot house
Spotless room, super staff, great breakfast - we love the sausages!, nice big mugs for coffee in our room, super snuggly towels.
Breakfast buffet OK Bed comfortable Staff friendly
The second floor of the building including the bedrooms was incredibly hot. There was an overpowering and unpleasant smell of air fresheners in the corridors.
Really helpful, cheerful staff.
Nothing negative to say
Friendly Staff, breakfast good
On a busy road so noisy with windows open, incredibly hot with windows closed
facilities not working no water from shower...hairdryer broken... pool area dirty lift out of order...cleanliness poor...breakfast poor...description nothing like advertised by booking.com
I liked the freedom of the hotel made to feel very welcome and made my 3days fly by and would have no hesitation of booking again food was lovely and service was excellent many thanks walter from kirkintilloch
friendly staff comfy bed great choice at breakfast
ground floor room looking onto carpark people looking in
Happy staff, always seemed to have a smile on their faces. more than help full in answering questions regarding local places of interest.
None of the following in the room. 1.Phone 2.Clock 3.Refrigerator I also suggest that the bath be removed and replaced by a shower cubical
Well located on East Lancs road, and about one mile from centre of Leigh where we were visiting relatives. Do not confuse with a newer hotel in Leigh Sporting Village.
Met by loud disco music from a wedding party on arrival on Sunday night, but our room was sufficiently far away from the reception room that we could not hear it in our room. Breakfast staff could benefit from a customer service refresher.
I like the pub next to it very nice! Love English breakfast, very good
room next to the parking, window view, cars and a road.
