When we got there we were sent upstairs only to find there was no lift which we were not warned about, which would've been fine if we weren't with a heavily pregnant woman. The room was definitely not what the pictures showed. Very old decor, the bed was awful (when you sit on it you hit the base of the bed). The heating in the room also didn't work. The main thing that ruined the trip was the fact there was a wedding reception on the night which our room was directly above so obviously we were kept up till past 1, again we were not pre warned this might be an issue and I don't know why we would have been given that room in the first plaxe. Finally the breakfast food was okay but the glasses for the juice were filthy and we were ignored when entering the room because the woman was gossiping to someone so we weren't sure where to go. Not worth £81 for one night.
The location was handy for us as we were visiting family in Leigh and the food at breakfast was pleasant enough.
Really enjoyed having free access to spa and swimming pool, it made our stay special.
Very friendly staff
Room was like a large storeroom very mismatch. The bed was hard the pillows were flat and it was very noisy. All night we had a very very loud generator noise that kept us awake. When checking out we mentioned this and the member of staff replied ' yes it is noisy in that room.it would have been nice to have been pre warne.
The wedding reception that we went to was lovely.
The evening meal was over priced and very poor. Had a steak and they killed it twice. Steak Sauce I wouldent feed to my dog so don't order.
Great location Good atmosphere they had a pub Quiz Breakfast was fantastic which surprised me after the evening meal night before
Noise from other rooms late at night Not the best bed we've slept in Sauna and jacuzzi were excessively hot and on mentioning it to the staff they seemed to know but didn't do anything about it
Very good breakfast Good wifi connection Clean and tidy room
I had read on some reviews that the rooms were outdated. They were a bit outdated but it really didn't matter to us. Cleanliness definitely gets more marks and we were told the hotel was undergoing refurbishment.
The hotel wasn't too far from the Trafford Centre. Hotel was really clean, food was nice, plenty of choice for breakfast at a good price for adults and kids ate free. There had been a mix up with our room but the staff were amazing and couldn't do any more for us. Kids were made to feel welcome.
Horrible, don't do it! The hotel was at best grubby. The pillows were flat. The bedroom noisy, we could hear other people's conversations word for word from inside our room. The leisure facilities were disgusting, absolutely filthy, freezing cold pool and so many chemicals in the spa it made us feel ill, we managed about a minute before we had to get out. Nothing like any we've been in before! The food was cold, days old reheated, but not reheated much. It also very very slow. Breakfast wasn't nice, wasn't restocked so there was very little choice and we were sat at dirty tables, the waitress wiped a 6" square on one edge of the table with a dirty tea towel in front of us and called it cleaned. Very very disappointed.
The receptionist was pleasant
We really enjoyed our stay, room was good, staff were terrific, so pleasant, nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was very good as was the evening meals. Three very nice days, will return again if traveling in the area.
In our room we had one very very very thin pillow each and a very stiff neck in the morning.
Not bad little hotel
Cleanliness. Price. Very run down. Towels in cleaners cupboard all over the floor (clean) The smell
The breakfast. The bed. The quiet.
Lots of noise at night. Not well soundproofed. The pool had been broken for a week and was too cold for the children to swim, the main reason we selected this hotel over others.
I checked into my room early afternoon and then went to a wedding reception. As we all do I left personal and valuable possessions in the room. Only to find on my return that my room had been let to another couple. Thankfully this couple was honest and all of my posessions were returned. And although the hotel staff worked quickly to provide another room and refund my money I find it very disturbing that this happened in the first place. They would have had to deactivate my key card to allow the second couple in the room and apparently it didn't even ring any bells when my belongings were returned to reception. I was lucky that the couple that were in the room were honest. They could quite easily have stolen my things. I hope that my experience will alert the staff and management to what is quite obviously an issue and ensure that it does not happen to others in the future.
I cannot comment on any 'likes' about this place due to the unfortunate events that occurred.
Traffic but heavy in motorway to Trafford centre as hotel about 20 mins out
It's got free parking, wifi, swimming pool, gym. Food is fantastic. Staff very friendly
We stayed did 2 nights and nearly came away after one but we're neeeting friends. The accomodation was dirty and the food was simply third rate, cold and unappetising - evening meal and breakfast. We will not be staying ever again. Very disappointed.
The tribute act was ok apart from that the room and food were unclean and unedible!!!!!
Have to wait for hour and half for meal. But to be fair the manager compensated us.Pillow were very thin
Good value for money ideally located
Smelll in corridor
The cooked breakfast was a bit greasy and the toaster needed upgrading.
It was convenient, clean and with good facilities.
Well in General the place is not very clean or tidy. The handle to the main hotel front door was hanging off, so a hazard waiting for some poor customer to have a serious accident. On checking in I had requested a ground floor room and ended up on the first floor. Toilet seat in our room was broken. Glasses in the bar area were dirty, breakfast room area, needs a good deep clean to say the least. Five star prices one star accommodation
Not a bad experience, but could be better. Hairdryer not working in my room, door lock not locking properly.
Excellent breakfast, staff very pleasant, the pool and steam room magnificent!
The hotel stank of disinfectant or bleach or some other cleaning material. Room ok but very basic. Bed thin and uncomfortable.
Staff helpful and engaging. Attached pub/restaurant very nice
Bit cool in bedroom. Furniture could do with being tidied up. Stronger lighting.
Location. Good breakfast selection. Friendly staff. Swimming pool. Size of room. View
Staff where very nice food was ok and bed comfy
Very noisy people in rooms next door!
