This cute and cozy basement apartment is a bright and modern accommodation in Piraeus, the charming port town of Athens and one of the oldest districts in Athens. The city itself is a popular jumping point for the Greek island ferries, but it offers so much more than that! Piraeus is an ancient city close to the heart of Athens. It is filled with history and classical architecture, with plenty to do or see. Athens' most important cultural sites and coastal beaches are a short ride away.

The space Modern features create a comfortable and relaxing space for up to four guests in this air-conditioned, one-bedroom basement apartment. The living space has a combination sofa/day bed that converts into a bed for two guests. A large flat-screen television and two armchairs help create a cozy, relaxing space. The nicely appointed bedroom is spacious and comfortable for two guests, with a queen-size bed and wall-mounted television. There is ample storage space for your belongings in the armoire. We provide all of the bed linens and towels for guests. The traditionally-designed bathroom has a shower/tub combination, toilet, and sink. Also provided are shampoo, soap, iron, and toilet paper. There are a clothes washer, WiFi, and air conditioning as well. The well-equipped and stocked kitchen contains full-sized appliances for guests' convenience, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. Additionally, there are kitchen essentials such as pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. The kitchen has a small bistro table for dining. You will appreciate the workspace desk immediately adjacent to the kitchen if you're in town on business.

The area: The ancient city of Piraeus is the main port for Athens, located within the city's urban area. You can hop on a ferry to any of the Greek islands. Piraeus is 12 kilometers southwest from Athens' city center along the east coast of the Saronic Gulf. The city has three main areas: the Central Port, the Zea marina, and Mikrolimano. The Central Port area is also the main hub of town life and from where ferries depart. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the port to see cargo ships and sea liners. In the Freatida area, you will find what's left of the ancient Piraeus Wall. Zea Marina is for yacht watching as it's home to some of the world's most luxurious yachts and cruisers. You'll find many restaurants, taverns, bars, and stores along the oceanfront. Kastella is a popular and picturesque quarter built on a hill known as Prophet Ilias. There are lovely winding streets and picturesque houses at the hill's summit. An outdoor theatre, Veakio, hosts notable cultural events during the summer. The Archeological and Maritime Museums are worth a visit as well. Metro station "Pireaus" is a building worth visiting if you didn't arrive via the train. This magnificent building with its arched dome (1929) was renovated not so long ago. Athens is approximately 20 minutes by car or public transportation.
