The breakfast was fantastic with freshly made juice and choice of omelettes or anything else you liked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great - a short walk to the shops, restaurants and the bus stop was just outside. The big bonus was the bakery downstairs which had delicious cakes !

It was a great location for every trip around the island. All people were very helpful, great cleaning ladies who made our rooms looking spotless. Everyone was very humble.

We really loved staying here, it made our vacation feel so luxurious. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had a stunning view of the bay. It was a bit of an uphill walk to get to but on a quiet charming pedestrian alleyway,
with a lovely cafe just a few minutes uphill from it. It was also cleaned daily, which we found an unusual perk in an apartment. There were also really comfy robes provided as there was a sizeable hot tub on the terrace. It unfortunately wasn't working while we were there, but we were so busy, and it was so windy, I'm not sure we would have used it much anyways.
I think the thing that put this apartment over the top was the service we got from the manager, Dimitris. He was initially in touch to make sure we had transportation arrangements, and gave me a great recommendation for ATV rental. He really helped us with information about sights and restaurants to visit. He met us to hand over the keys and insisted on carrying our bags up to the apartment, and also met us at check out to carry them back to the parking lot. Once a day he quickly checked in by text to make sure we didn't need anything, and his kindness made us really feel like treasured guests.

We really enjoyed our stay at Palaios !
- great location: it was peaceful and quiet, yet within walking distance of Trypiti and Plaka
- great view: from our balcony, we could enjoy the view for sunset
- kindness of our host: she helped us to rent our vehicle and left some sweets for us
- spacious room, cleaned every day

Nice to be in a location with some restaurants/bar, lots of shops, incredible views and lots of friendly cats! Safe area and free public parking lot a 10-15 min walk from most places in the Plaka. Overall seems much less crowded and crazy than Adamas Port area. Some small museums in the town. As Plaka is higher up on the island, be prepared for walking inclines/declines and some stairs depending on your route. Limited car parking up close to restaurants and some of the rental accommodations, so something to consider if you have difficulty with mobility. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this area again.

Excellent location in Placka.
Excellent location in Placka. The host Stelios really care about the clients and he is used to provide very useful information about restaurants and beaches in Milos and other islands. The studio was amazing with an excellent view. I suggest all future visitors of Milos to stay in the old village of Placka and book a room at Halara Studios.

Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below Plaka, parts of the Milos bay and the windmills of Trypiti. On foot you can reach the old core with its beautiful Cycladic architecture in a few minutes or the ancient theater in half an hour. Don't miss the sunset from the Kastro! Our host Dimitris was incredibly helpful, in case of technical problems (Wi-Fi) immediately on the spot and had many good tips for restaurants, beaches and other destinations. On request, our apartment would have been cleaned even daily, which we did not find necessary.

Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to stay on Milos due to the village being quite lively at night. I recommend a car for the island anyways so you might as well stay in that village and get a great view. The village is also central enough to the main attractions that if you want to hike directly from there to the port city or the beaches (Plathiena) or fish village (Klima) you will have a nice good hike. The prices are more expensive there so go eat elsewhere. The Utopian Café is worth it, though you can see the beautiful sunset from so many places. Do not go to the only café/bakery near the center - it's overpriced. Go to Adamantas - the port town - better prices for better quality.

This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly.
This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly. There are restaurants nearby.some a bit pretentious. We used a local taxi to take us around and to leave on the ferry
Incoming was difficult as l ferry was two hours late. Nothing at ferry terminal. Best to walk to entry to port where there are more.
No nearby local shops.
Excellent archaeology including the spot where Venus de Milo was found.

Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in.
Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in. At night they block off car traffic and so pedestrians can walk freely from restaurants to shops to bars, etc. So cozy and lots of dining options. Central to the whole island.
The owners welcomed us with such a warm heart.
They even provided a transportation to the beach and picked us up from there with extra charge but reasonable price :)
The hotel is located in an absolutely beautiful place up the hill so that you can see the whole city/sea view from there. I would say absolutely worth the money with this sunning view.
Ms. Chaido baked carrot cake and shared it with us and it was very tasty and I felt like home by staying with them.
Thank you so much for your hospitality :)
Everything. The quality of the accommodation was incredible.(bathroom was beautiful). The family were most welcoming throughout our stay. There was a welcome pack of water, fruit and homemade biscuits in our room.We availed of the breakfast one day which was wonderful.Mrs Chaido and her family were such lovely hosts.Their communication from time of booking was great and Lefteris picked us up from the Seajet ferry port when we arrived in the evening. We will be back for 😊.
Great location - it felt like being off the grid, in nature, but only a few minutes from Plaka. Incredible views from the balcony. The studio was very clean and comfortable, much better than most places I've stayed at in Greece. Fast and reliable wifi, good enough for remote work which was a positive surprise! The hosts were super friendly and helpful, I visited off-season when a lot of food places were closed and they regularly checked in on me if I needed anything.
Plaka Suites are many properties throughout Plaka. The host, Dimitris, is the best! He was really responsive, flexible, and so helpful with great recommendations. The properties are beautiful and well appointed. My cottage had a little veggie garden, fig & olive trees, and a gorgeous view of the Trypiti chapel. If you’re staying as part of a group, be sure to mention that in your booking ahead of time.
Nice views of the ocean, five minute walk to old city Plaka. Owner is Stelios who also owns a bar named Verinas (cute little joint with hand crafted cocktails). Breakfast not included. Has an electric stove top with some cooking supplies and small hotel size mini fridge. Would recommend getting a car to drive to all the beaches of Milos. Helped us with car and restaurant reservations.
Great place in the heart of plaka. Clean, updated and lots of space. After a few weeks in greece a laundry machine was an amazing amenity. The shower is large and is the first to fit my 6'5" partner in greece. Tons of space for a couple and could easily fit a family of 4. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.
The staff are extremely kind, the hotel is right above a lovely bakery/cafe and it’s perfectly located in Plaka. Within two minutes you are in the old town and the bus stop is literally a few steps away. Everything was extremely clean and comfy and the balcony was great to have as well.
I liked the location of the hotel. It was just a few steps from cafes, restaurants and shops in Plaka. The hosts were very accommodating as our ferry was over 2 hours later than expected. The hosts communicated great and gave us a ton of recommendations for all over the island.
- From the top floor one has an excellent sunset view (but I suggest to arrive with an ATV or car, as the bus stop is quite far away)
- Very clean apartment
- Everyday some cookies or cakes
- Above average room size (for Greece)
- For Milos, good room rates
The host was incredible! So friendly and helpful. She left us sweets on our doorstep every morning and helped me figure out an ATV booking when I was struggling to connect with an agency from overseas. A truly amazing and affordable spot in Milos!
Everything about this hotel was amazing. Made our stay in Milos even better. Antonia our host was the best. She helped us organizing our day trips and helped us with everything we needed including reservations. We recommend to stay here 100%.
Some positives. The staff accepted a package for us - so that was quite nice. The location is pretty close to the main area in Plaka. The room was large and relatively clean. Overall pretty decent but not a standout hotel on our trip
This is a once in a lifetime booking. The location is the best in Milos, at the top of the hill in Plaka. The place is spacious with a fully stocked kitchen. We absolutely loved it here!
The hosts were waiting for us when we arrived, they were willing to schedule a pickup from the port as well. We got the keys within seconds and were able to be in the pool within minutes.
Felt authentic; a different experience than a totally modernized hotel type stay. Had just enough conveniences to make it comfortable without losing the authenticity of staying in Milos
Thodoris, the hotel's manager, and his team are a great complement to this hotel. They were always there to provide tips and tricks and support us with our inquiries. Great job!
This small hotel was in a perfect location with beautiful views and close to restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
