On a secluded bay, this luxury hotel has a private beach and a multi-level pool. Sea views are the highlight here and the center of Hvar is only a 10-minute walk away.
Score from 601 reviews Good
The Palace Hvar is the oldest hotel on Hvar, framed by St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the famous Hvar Theatre in a beautiful setting surrounded by Gothic and Renaissance architecture.

Located in Hvar on Hvar Island, Hotel Croatia is a 10-minute walk from the old part of town and the port. Surrounded by a pine forest, it is 33 yards from the beach.
Score from 160 reviews Very good
Non functional rooms, no space for luggages, no privacy in the lavatory, no suficient lights at the night, noise from the harbour.

Banging music outside
Great location, nice staff, bit noisy with bar downstairs but ok if you are down there making the noise! Not a family hotel
Nobody told us that we had ti leave the car so far. The room was not clean and the bathroom very unconfortable
Location and staff friendly
Didn't change the linen during our stay!
Cool rooms. Excellent breakfast
Insufficient lighting in room. No privacy for shower
Great location if you want to be close to the ferry stop and all the bars
...but that means you will be woken up by 6am by queuing passengers even if you stay out late. The hotel is a garni with some artwork, not sufficient in my view to be a boutique hotel. Small rooms; staff ok; limited facilities, using the indoor pool only at a neighbouring sister hotel would have cost 120Kuna. Suitable only really for under 30's who can afford the price.
Great location and the food and drink were excellent value for money. Loved the little disco at BB bar every night.
Customer service was non existent. Watch out if you book transfers through the hotel too-they don't tell you how much it'll be, then charge a huge amount!!
Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good.
The bathroom sink was broken for over a day. After calling the reception for times, finally they send someone to fix it. Bar stuff extremely unprofessional. The over night stuff at reception was helpful and polite.
Too loud at night time on sea front rooms
Noisy and small rooms
I reserved and paid for a Delux room. Room was so small it could not fit two pieces of luggage. No privacy in the washrooms. Poor wifi. No irons in rooms or access to one
Location, bb bar
Food was not perfect
Right in the middle of the action. Hop off the boat and the hotel is right there in front if you. Good Breakfast. Great staff... and once again... we were right there with all the restaurants, all the fancy big yachts... and that great view out the window.
Very pricey. Very noisy. Rooms very small. Wifi a bit too slow... for the price. But we knew this from the outset.
Superb Location! Frienly staff. Nice BB-Club Bar at the hotel.
Very Slow Wifi. Premium available for +/- €35/day (july 2014) Music of the BB-Club can be heard up to the 3rd floor when trying to sleep.
Location Rooms Cleanliness
Noise until 2am
The hotel is in an excellent location and the rooms are modern and clean. The BB bar outside (owned by the hotel) is one of the most popular party destinations in Hvar.
As per other reviews, the hotel is very very noisy. We stayed 2 nights and both were sleepless. The hotel not only is a party destination itself, but also attracts young people who party all night in their rooms, the walls of which are paper thin.
nice breakfast, friendly helpful staff
too soft pillows, BB clubs terrible music!
The hotel is situated right on the harbour so every morning you are faced with the beauty of the sea, boats and passers by as you eat breakfast. Transfer boats and day tour boats leave from right outside which is also handy too. The hotel is beautiful, modern and very clean and the 'boutique' hotel interior makes you feel like you really are staying in the best of the best. The hotel bar is situated right outside on the promenade and is buzzing every night with good music and great vibes.
Despite being a beautiful hotel there was a lot to fault the hotel on during our stay. To begin with we were told we would have an 'Hvar' view which ended up being a brick wall about 2 meters away from our window. The lighting in the rooms is very poor. No main light in the bedroom area which made getting ready for a night out a nightmare - we basically got ready in the dark for our nights out. When it came to lighting there was too much focus on the 'boutique' hotel side with dimmed green tinted lights beside the bed making it difficult to see what you were doing. During our stay we also had problems with our electricity. The key slot would often come disconnected and everyone would turn off after about ten minutes of being in the room. After being faced with the disappointment of all of the above we complained and were told we would be able to move rooms the next day. This was never followed up and everyday we were promised the same thing. The customer service was dire and it seemed the front desk did not understand our disappointment. Eventually we were offered a free day at their partner company beach club which was lovely however the problems were never fixed and we had to put up with the above for the duration of our stay
Location. Views from room.
If you're looking for a place where you don't mind still being able to hear loud (I mean loud) music through earplugs between about 11pm and somewhere around 1:30 am, you'll like this place. The location is great, it's clean, and I would have been well up for joining the revelry outside a few years ago, it seemed to be pretty much in the heart of where the late night fun was, just don't stay here if you want quiet.
Really nice breakfast terrace.
Extremely noise neighborhood. Late night party on sea view so you can expect to get sleep after 02:30.On street side (Hvar view) if you open windows you're just above chillers and air-conditioning units.
The location is excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.
The rooms a are very noisy! Double glazing on doors had nil effect and sleep was difficult. Room was small and poorly designed with no storage for bags etc
hair in the bathtub when i arrived and shower water that was warm, not hot.
We had a view of the stunning harbour from our bed which was wonderful. The room was small but lovely.
It was very noisy at night until 2am due to proximity to the lively bars - we were glad of our earplugs.
