We went for Xmas and New Year - with nobody around - totally...
We went for Xmas and New Year - with nobody around - totally in the off season. I think there were no more than a handful of tourists on the entire island. Well, we got what we wanted, zero crowds, zero stress, restaurants mostly closed. It was a bit chilly at times but nothing a light jacket can't remedy. And the little wooded stove is just perfect to keep the place nice and warm even in the middle of winter. The house is quite far from town on a gravel road, about 20 min, wouldn't recommend the road for a low sports car but any normal car will do just fine if you drive carefully.

Wild garden with cacti, agave and olive trees is truly an amazing remedy for sore eyes - big old pine tree with never ending orchestra of cicadas right behind the beach offers amazing shadow throughout the day. We especially loved the open kitchen and the sea-view terrace in front of the house - perfect for spending leisure time in the evenings.FraneSlovenia
