Enjoyed the thermal baths and the valley of beautiful women, but the castle museum was a bit of a letdown. Definitely wouldn't spend more than one night here, but could even just pass through it for a short visit on the way to somewhere else.

The Basilica is a magnificent building There are lots of museums to visit, under the city, fire museum, sports museum, marzipan museum & many more Restaurants are plentiful with lovely food & wine on offer

Eger is an incredible location to visit! It has it all! From historical sites to thermal baths & wineries. Something for not just all ages but also budgets. We over heard people talking about an excellent restaurant at the citadel and indeed 1552 restaurant was esquisite!

We made the mistake of coming during the winter, we really wanted to enjoy nature in the mountains and to visit the national park. Due to weather conditions we couldn't do much and the national park was closed. The steam train nearby was also closed. It's a cute village to visit, i bet it is more beautiful during spring/summer/autumn.

The location was an easy walk to Eger Castle, the city center, cafes and restaurants, the city thermal baths, and the Turkish Bath (Torok Furdo), as well as many beautiful city parks. I especially appreciated the use of a washer and dryer plus drying rack so we could have clean clothes for the rest of our European trip. There is a lovely interior courtyard with both sunny and shady spots to enjoy.

It was the view from my window. Downtown is within walking distance with many restaurants and historical buildings. The receptionist is a very friendly person. We were able to check-in before scheduled time. It was really cool that we got a big old key to the front gate of the hotel, since the courtyard closes in the evening, therefore the gates are locked too, but you can get in by using this key.

The SPA department was really good. The wine tasting down in the tunnels deep under the hotel was an experience with a wine knowledgeable guide who spoke perfect English. Booked with half board and the food was very good. Next time I'm in Hungary/Budapest, I'll probably go to Eger for a few days and stay at the Korona hotel just because it was so nice and relaxing. Also visited their Beatles museum which is worth a visit.jva65Sweden

The hotel was awesome, food was great, staff very helpful. We requested a later check out so that we can visit the museum. What a surprise! The Beatles Museum is Amazing and makes this hotel and location absolutely the best. The private parking was a bonus since we were driving a very big van. We loved Eger! The hotel was very affordable which means it isn't in the heart of downtown. But the downtown was a short walk away so that was no problem. The valley of Beautiful women was also only a 20 minute walk away. The room was comfortable and there was a shared kitchen available. Also, the hotel had parking in front of the main entrance.
