This property was a delight for nature lovers! It offered a welcome escape from the tourist crowds, providing a peaceful and authentic Balinese experience. The highlight for me was the abundance of birdlife in the garden. I spotted a variety of colorful birds throughout the day, and even Bali Mynas flitting around.
I highly recommend booking a birdwatching tour with Putu, the host. Putu's knowledge of the local birds is impressive, and the tour was a fantastic way to explore the surrounding farms, mangroves, and beaches. Putu's guidance helped me spot a wider variety of birds than I could have on my own.
Overall, this property is perfect for those seeking a tranquil stay surrounded by nature.

Staff is super friendly and helpfull. The owner really makes a difference in the community with his hotels and stores, so staying indirectly helps. The pool is nice and the room and bed were very comfortable.

The location is amazing - Secluded and quiet. We stayed in Nusa Villa and both bungalows were clean and comfortable. Pretty much 360° views looking out of both onto the private space and the beach. The wildlife was spectacular and everywhere you looked you would see something different.
The staff were exceptional. Traditional Balinese hospitality, kind, friendly and helpful.

Well the main attraction off Banyuwedang is the people really , such genuine friendliness is rare in the world . I liked diving at menjangan island and permuteran . The west Bali natural park is worth to see but a bit pricey at 1400K hiking with guide . The highlight was the trip to the Ijen Vulcano ( ferry to java ) . Don't expect good eating opportunities as this place is really not touristic . Best eating was at white sandy beach hotel . Hotspring was also very nice . Give the place a week of your time not more .
Odiyana Nirvana! A 4 day escape from some of the craziness elsewhere in Bali. Truly blissful surroundings. A great pool and lovely Hot Springs.
Mada and the team there took such could care of us and were so friendly. Mada even drove us to the ferry at the end of the trip, and a breakfast was made to go with us for an early start.
World class snorkelling to Mannajan Island.
Lots of great walks in the area too.
We wholeheartedly recommend if you are looking for something a bit different in Bali and away from the herds.
You can safely snorkel off the pier, gentle current. Mid Feb (wet season) visibility was fine. Great coral, fish, octopus, small reef shark, barracuda etc. Can walk up coast (with or with guide) saw deer, civet cat (also in hotel area overnight), wild pigs, huge Monitor lizard, huge bats, birds everywhere. Oh and the black and grey (very naughty) monkeys.
Ida is a wonderful guest, she made me feel like home with her homemade and local food. Delicious!
She took the time to sit down with me for a nice chat and I felt very comfortable all the time.
The room was perfect: comfortable and beautiful.
I hope to go back to Bali soon to come back to Maha Nusa
Suksma!
The hotel is found within the national park. The surroundings are serene, the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, the bungalows are romantic and luxurious. There were many activities available including snorkeling, nature walks and cooking classes. An exceptional experience.
We love the location inside the West Bali Nat Park, with opportunities to spot wildlife, plenty of soft trekking, snorkel and diving, and good food from the restaurant. Also love the observation deck of Bali Tower and Bird Watching tower. The staffs were ultra helpfull.
The room with the hot spring was really nice, even if you had to wait a bit to get into it, because it is really hot. In our room, we felt very comfortable. The hotel complex is large and offers two pools and hot springs so that the hotel guests can spread out.
We had a phenomenal stay at Made’s place. He is one of a kind host that is always willing to help. The place is gorgeous, and the pool was great. Breakfast was excellent too. We enjoyed chatting with Made, and learning about Bali and its traditions.
Absolutely the best hotel experience in all the years we have travelled - stunning location, the most friendly, welcoming, helpful staff we have ever encountered. Nothing too much trouble - it felt like they were our family! Love them all
Exceptional service and amazing location. Lots of deers and monkeys. Kids enjoyed balinese snack cooking and donut decoration classes. Snorkeling was awesome even near the jetty. Absolutely delicious breakfasts. So worth it!
