Beautiful welcome and Happy Anniversary Torte waiting in our room- so nice!
Breakfast-incredible
The air conditioning would not work, so we did call down and they said someone would be there in an hour. Two hours later- we went out & stoppped at the desk to tell them the problem- again. They assured us it would be taken care of. We returned 11:45pm- still no air, they were going to change our rooms- but we were exhausted. They adjusted the low temp for our wing- and said that would do the trick. It did not. They comped us the $30 parking fee.
Again- beautiful hotel. Excellent food. Wish they'd responded to our problem. LOVED DUBLIN!

We stayed at a 2-bedroom apartment on the apartment side of their facility. It was on the 14th floor and the views were amazing, as well as the bedrooms, bathrooms and living room/kitchen. The location was ideal for us - we were looking for something close to the airport as we were flying back to the USA after staying at this hotel for only one night. They had a free and convenient airport shuttle in the morning.

The hotel was in a great location, right beside the green line Luas. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was large with two different shower heads that were very powerful. The continental breakfast was delicious. €20 parking for 24 hours was very good value for Dublin city centre.

I liked that the village was very walkable and I could even walk to and from Dublin City Centre from there ( a long walk if you are not a frequent walker). Rathgar itself had a lovely bookstore, an awesome antiques shop, conveniences and welcoming pubs. I recommend Brady's (a 10 minute walk from my guesthouse), and The 108, which was a 5 minute walk for me. Both these pubs had very good food and atmosphere.

Will we stay again?
Will we stay again? Probably but maybe only for 1-2 nights maximum, and not 5.
Lets face it , dublin is expensive. You cant ask for 5star, yet it was disasspointing to not have the room cleaned half the time and that you had to ask for room cleaning ( something you only know once you are in the room ).
There is no staff, it is unmanned; there is a sink in the room not in the toilet; the room is small . This we knew beforehand , so zero complaints there.
The TV, only a few local channels worked, but we werent there to watch tv anyway.
The ammenities were good and fair and the bed was good. Staff over the phone was helpful.

Away from hustle & bustle of Dublin City centre.
Away from hustle & bustle of Dublin City centre. Good local cafes, bars, restaurants & shops + short walk or bus to Terenure or Rathmines for more choice.
City centre is only quick bus journey, (use a leep card to save money) away for tourist destinations & night life.

Totally unorganized. They sent me my codes after I left. I also received an email that I was never there. The room was not clean and the location is far from downtown. I would not recommend this place

Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable and well...
Excellent value for money, clean and comfortable and well located. A few minor issues, the numbers on the press pad on the front door were difficult to see, there was stale water in the kettle and the coffee machine and there was not enough towels. Parking was on a first come basis butI was too late to get it. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience and I would have no hesitation reccomding no 9 as a good place to stay
The historical townhouse, biult arrownd 1890, is situated in the serene, respectable, and green Dublin's district.
Perfect comfort with remarkably affordable prices.
The room is both comfortable and clean. An exceptional living room adorned with a traditional fireplace for a cozy rest.
Several pubs are within walking distance, and a direct bus line conveniently takes you to the heart of Dublin in just 20 minutes.
Special thanks to landlady Marie for her exceptional hospitality!
The room, spotted-clean, is super cosy with all the necessities and Marie is the kindest, she helped us too with our taxi on the way back to the airport.
The area is absolutely stunning, with shops and supermarkets close by. The position too is pretty convenient, with bus stops to the centre near.
Definitely, I will book again at St. Aiden's Guesthouse if I'll travel to Dublin again! Thank you!
Location was in a nice quiet, suburb in south Dublin. Frequent bus service into Dublin centre only 4 min walk from guesthouse. Or you could walk to centre in about 50 min. Several restaurants nearby.Self serve breakfast, mainly cereals, bread and fruit, but also eggs and misc stuff in the fridge. Microwave, stove and fridge. Coffee and tea. Lovely, bright front room to eat and relax in.
The room was quiet, comfortable and clean and good value for money. The location was handy to Terenure and Rathgar and bus stop to the city centre. It was nice to have coffee and tea-making facilities and a fridge - though there was a half-drunk bottle of wine left in it from previous guest (I hated having to pour it out). Shower pressure was good with plenty of hot water.
Looking new and well furnitured room, very comfortable bed, plenty of amenities like espresso machine, kettle, hair dryer, iron, fridge, television, fantastic shower. The self check in is ok, the reception is mostly not manned but staff is very nice, quick answer via email. There are plenty of payed street parking nearby hotel, 15 minutes bus ride to the center.
Alan made us feel very welcome and had thought of everything to settle us in . Very good information on local restaurants, supermarkets and an easy bus ride into the centre of Dublin. Rathgar is a very safe and lovely suburb and very quiet. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

Warm hospitality and lots of valuable shared services at the guest house. Room was right size for our family.
Lovely neighbourhood with good options for food and coffee.
There was good communication between the hotel and me. The room was nice and comfortable. The location was nice and in easy walking distance of a grocery and food.
Very clean, warm, very friendly and helpful staff, close to bus station, bars and grocery stores. Very good price compared to similar properties in Dublin.
