Breakfast was delicious. Tom and Sam are so friendly and even in the middle of his busy morning, Tom found time to give us suggestions for places to stop on the Sally Gap drive to Dublin. Would definitely come back again.

Quiet spot with wonderful hosts and breakfast! We were blessed to play with their puppies and the horses, and everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

We got the wrong room, single instead of a twin accommodation but they sort it out for the first night and then the next day they gave us a twin room for the rest of the stay. Great and very friendly staff. The administration does a great job in training them and been visible to all. The only draw back was that we did not get our room clean during our stay, the garbage was full, we only got towels changed.

This is a perfect location for walkers & nature lovers.
This is a perfect location for walkers & nature lovers. The views are spectacular & if you're lucky with the weather, which we were, though it was February, there are some lovely walks in the area, both short & long-distance. Very popular with tour groups & families, especially at weekends ... lots of buggies, bicycles & dogs ... something for everyone! Lovely outdoor seating areas for coffee & snacks & tasty food in restaurant. Don't forget your camera for some memorable & scenic shots during your walks. Wear comfortable footwear to really enjoy & take advantage of the lovely walks, especially around the lake , up towards the waterfall ... so much to see & enjoy ... for adults, kids, & doggies too! Will definitely return!

We have visited Laragh on three different trips to Ireland, and we are always eager to return. It is a scenically beautiful area. We love walking the trails at Glendalough amid the ancient monastic ruins, and the drive through the Wicklow Mountains is stunning. Over the years, we also have enjoyed several day trips to nearby Russborough House with its art, gardens, interesting history, and excellent restaurant. The Wicklow Heather restaurant is world class, and the cafe in the center of Laragh has excellent homemade soups and food.
Laragh is a great part of any trip to Ireland.

Laragh is just over a kilometre away from the honey pot of Glendalough which, when we were there at the weekend, was heaving with visitors. Laragh is a good place to stay because you're away from the crowds and I suspect that the dining options are better than in Glendalough. There are lots of walks into the hills from Glendalough and it is indeed a beautiful place. The long distance Wicklow Trail passes within a kilometre of Laragh. Good public transport connections either direct from Dublin by coach or by train from Wicklow and there is a bus service to connect with the trains at Wicklow.

We stayed in Heather House a short trip from Trooperstown Lodge. Accommodation was beautiful with a terrific view, super clean and modern. Lovely and warm for the winter time, towels and hairdryer provided and very comfy bed with fluffy pillows. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was had in the restaurant next door which is a quaint, old fashioned restaurant. Lovely antique decorations and delicious food. Staff in both accommodation and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent for hikers and the little cabins are comfortable and make a unique experience to sleep in. As the beds were very comfortable we slept really well and, as there is basically only nature around you, it is very quite.
The shared bathrooms have individual cabins for taking a shower, and were very clean. There is a well-staffed kitchen if you want to cook your own dinner, or you can take a 7 minute walk down to the village to eat at a restaurant.
What a lovely hotel ! The location is perfect for visiting Glendalough park ; even though it;s on a (not overly busy ) highway , our room was quiet and peaceful - we had the windows open to the sound of a stream on the property , very nice ! Also the food was exceptional , Aunty Biddies Guinness stew was the best we've tasted in Ireland , and the service was quick and friendly . Will need a return trip I think !
The house, area, and host were all exceptional. It provided the perfect home base for our family (3 generations) to explore various parts of Ireland as well as a comfortable place to kick back and spend togetherness time. Lisa went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and welcome. I would go again in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone.
Staff were so kind and accomodating ,went out of their way to accommodate us due to specific needs of our elderly family members, rooms had everything, beds so comfy, shower fabulous, privacy and direct access perfect,we stay in Wicklow often,by far our best accomodation have stayed in,food in Heather restaurant beautiful too, staff there lovely too
I booked Heather House on short notice and everything worked out perfectly. You have your own appartment with fridge with free coffee and tea available. A very good eakfast can be had in the restaurant next door. It lookee like the apartment would be next to the main road on the map, but it was next to a pretty secluded and quiet garden
The sitting room with tea / coffee facility was lovely. Our host Erica was just the nicest ,friendliest, most considerate ever!!
Breakfast / Restaurant was at the Wicklow Heather which is a short drive away & very nice!
Very comfortable private apartment in a great location close to Glendalough to services in Laragh village. Hosts were available and very friendly. Comfortable bed, excellent shower. Breakfast in room is very convenient.
Property is beautiful! Feels secluded but is very close to the village of Laragh. Facilities were outstanding and everything was pristine. Pods were very comfortable and we slept really well! Staff were very friendly.
Great location for wandering the Wicklow ways with walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Very welcoming host, great breakfast, spotlessly clean. Thanks for a fantastic weekend!
He location, the nature, the nearby archeological sites, and the wonderfully helpful receptionist and caretaker Eugenio. He is the best of Spain in the best of Ireland.
location is great for hikes in Wicklow national park, room is spacious, well furnished & private access. Sharon is a great host, giving valuable recommendations.
