Carol was great to communicate with, her instructions and directions were very clear. She is an extremely friendly lady. The information folder was detailed and helpful. The unit was lovely. The living area was large and comfortable. The 3 bedrooms were all very large and each had an ensuite. The furnishing are tasteful and add a homely feel. Laragh is a lovely little village and in an ideal location for taking some beautiful walks in Wicklow. Lynhams hotel is ideal for staying in and the Wicklow Heather is a lovely restaurant close by. Laragh is also an ideal place to stay if you wish to walk in Glendalough.
We loved Lynhams Hotel location. Loved the sound of the water rapids when we opened the window. It was so relaxing. Aoife and the staff so helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean. Bathroom was spotless also. Plenty of toiletries if we forgot our own! We wouldn't have been stuck. Towels white and fluffy. Bed so comfortable.
I loved the area for a starting point for walking trails and the night life in the very friendly bar at the hotel. It aloud my self an my husband to get back to remembering why we got together before the kids came along 😁 it was that relaxing and so cosy.
It's a great place if you want a calm vacation, you can clean your head and enjoy nature. Even though there's only one shop and a couple of restaurants, it's more than enough to get what you need. Foods in The Wicklow Heather restaurant is delicous and there's a big menu to choose from. The forests and hills ale great for walks and hiking.
We ate out in Laragh but found the signposting difficult and frankly there are better areas to visit, but it sits at the entrance to the Wicklow Gap which is very impressive. Needs to have much better information about the history of the area available to all travellers. Need a car.
