Wonderful staff, fab dinner at Maxwell's (salmon en croute was the star!), delicious G&Ts beforehand made from Farnham estate gin, and a very comfortable & quiet room. Wish I'd had time to use the beautiful spa!

Staff were really friendly and helpful. I arrived quite late and the pub was busy. But the two girls working made a huge effort to get me checked in. They were great.

My husband and I visited Lacken Mills in the spring of 2024. We were celebrating our 43rd year of marriage, and this was probably the last time that we would see Europe. We have travelled extensively throughout our marraige but Helen was the most charming and welcoming host we have ever met. Her home is a historic stone house, decorated in a beautifully with touches of whimsey throughout. The gardens were casual with flowering plants everywhere and a flowing creek and little bridge The colombine flowers reminded me of little dancing fairies. I wish we could return every spring, but our memories will last a lifetime. Thank you Helen

We really, liked Michael who helped us with our luggage and was very pleasant and friendly. - Very impressed with Farnham for employing people with special needs. We liked the spa, the pool, and the location of the hotel.
We were disappointed at little added extras not being there since our last visit and that the 2 restaurants did not deliver uniquely different dining experiences. We noticed the walkways were in the process of much-needed renovations.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

First class in every respect.
First class in every respect. The rooms, breakfast and facilities were excellent. Most of all the host gave a great welcome and tea in the living room. The converted Mill is a beautiful environment. As a descendant of Glangevlin's McGovern family the stay was full of the best in Cavan hospitality.

We didn't see much as we were there for christening.
We didn't see much as we were there for christening. However beautiful setting . Everything seemed so far away from each other . There is a little town which seemed nice. It is at least an hour and half drive from Dublin. We needed a taxi to get from hotel to Dublin to fly home which cost €280.00 so you need to be aware of that if your not driving yourself. Every person we met or spoke to were so friendly .

We were really surprised at how much there is to do in Cavan.
Lakes and trails a plenty and it’s very easy to head out to neighbouring counties too!
We found the restaurants we eat in to be of a really high standard.
Very clean, a good stop off point overnight on the way up further north. Bridie & sister Mary were great hosts. We had the journey from hell up because of traffic issues so arrived much later than planned in dire need of food. Bridie called the local bar who were closing and they were good enough to wait the 10 minutes for us to drive there. The place is in a quiet location not far from Cavan town very clean with breakfast materials left out to help yourself next morning.
We had a warm welcome and enjoyed our weekend stay in Toddy's Cottage. It's a lovely cottage just outside town with all the amenities we ever wanted for a weekend stop-over. The cottage has been refurbished properly and everything is clean and tidy. The cottage is located in a green setting and a calm corner of the country. Perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
Greets from Belgium & Dublin.
We attended the Cavan Crystal Hotel for my aunts wedding celebration and from start to finish the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Eoin served us some delicious food in the bar on Friday night and Irene made sure that everything was taken care of for the weekend. We had a wonderful weekend in the hotel. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and rooms were comfortable too.
💚 we are really happy!
Thank you very much.
Hotel in the heart of the town.
Very comfortably.
Everything is nearby.

Very warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Very clean and had everything we needed. Great selection of self service breakfast items available like tea, coffee, toast, cereals, fruit, water, juice etc...
Only 5 minute drive to Cavan town centre.
i did have an unfortunate experience with my car and i received the most generouse help anyone could expect from the staff and neighbiurs. the property is very quiet but is most asccessible for the major towns in the area - would reccommend to anyone
Loved absolutely everything & everyone! Helen is such a warm, wonderful lady!! My family is from Ireland, specifically Cavan, so Helen’s location was everything I heard about my ancestors who grew up in Ireland.

The staff of the Farnham Arms Hotel is always the friendliest and most accommodating! I love the breakfast and the fact that the hotel is in the heart of Cavan. Easy to park behind and get around the town.
We loved the spa, excellent therapists and very relaxing to spend time there. Staff in the hotel were all lovely and we also loved the location and the woodland walks down to the lake.
Lovely old restored building with great comfort within its walls. Extremely comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.
Lovely quite rural location yet within easy reach of Cavan town.
